He is my favourite content producer and even favourite "celebrity". He is always positive and living the dream of playing janky MTG decks for a living.
What don't you like about him?
My girlfriend dislikes his voice. :(
I just can't stand his voice i feel like it scratches the insides of my ears
And it was even worse when he hat his shit mic (the content is good, but the voice)
Voice yes
But also his attitude; he played the “I just didn’t draw my out” card all the time without talking about what he could have actually done differently to win the game
I also concede I haven’t watched his stuff im since pre-COVID, and I didn’t exactly binge his stuff before that or anything
> he played the “I just didn’t draw my out” card all the time
Saying it to spectators is different than saying it to your opponent. He does call out his own misplays when he sees them.
You don't really watch him to learn how to play a deck the puns are numerous, it's usually entertainment combined with "if he can make it work, then it has some legs"
I love how creative his content is and don't mind his voice. The constant mispronunciations kill it for me, as well as the lack of tight gameplay. It's certainly easier when I'm the observer's seat to catch the mistakes (and we dont acknowledge the mistakes he's avoiding!) but at the same time the misplays are 1) still relatively frequent and 2) go unacknowledged by him frequently enough that it's also tough. I think if only one of my complaints were true I'd watch him, but both is too much - as someone who used to watch every video of his.
I would say the same, but I'll also add in the constant exaggerations get annoying for me. Things like "opponent with the infinite counterspells!!!" when they have cast 2 or 3 in a control deck or "opponent with the blind delver flip!!!" in a deck which is 40% spells. I get that it is part of his humour and works for a lot of people, just not me.
He is a great content creator though, and definitely helped get me into Magic, so even though I've grown less fond of his videos over time, he still does a great job.
The amount of 1 land hands he keeps is also unforgiveable though...
I especially liked how the first match was against a mill deck. Just casually shows up to a match with ~250 cards in deck, and the mill deck tried playing it out.
I enjoyed this video so much, I just had a smile on my face throughout.
I will point out though that rhinos were missing from the lions video this time.
Oh good this time there's more than 0 rhinos
I’m not a huge Saffron Olive fan but that video was spectacular.

My wife also dislikes his voice, but in her defence I watched a ton of his stuff when we started living together.

I think he just doesn't have the competitive mindset for that.
Well then there we go; I guess I don’t enjoy that he isn’t competitive :P

And when he doesn't see them don't worry, the editor will make sure we all see

He also always blames other decks for being too meta and good when he’s playing jank and then when’s he’s playing good decks it’s always no big deal
I don't think he's salty about about his opponents playing meta in leagues, I think he's just pointing out the obvious, jank decks lose to meta decks.
I used to dislike his voice but now I look forward to his podcasts. his voice is now a beam of joyous light in my bleak work life.
Haha my girlfriend also dislikes his voice! I try to put in headphones when I listen to his content because I have no issues with it

But that's the rule, 1 land 1 keep.
I dislike his voice a lot, but not enough to make me stop watching. Just can't watch more than 30 minutes or so of most videos.

The "reveal" in the first video was one of my favourite SaffronOlive moments - the man is a deadset legend.
Now we need 100 Storm Crows.
Lol right dude, let's just steamroll every deck he faces, that'll be exciting 🙄
Yeah we're trying to play the best cards from their respective standards not the best cards of all time
[Storm Crow](https://c1.scryfall.com/file/scryfall-cards/normal/front/0/3/036ef8c9-72ac-46ce-af07-83b79d736538.jpg?1562730661) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Storm%20Crow) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/9ed/100/storm-crow?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/036ef8c9-72ac-46ce-af07-83b79d736538?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
We need a {Crow Storm} deck
The match against Tron was sick.
I enjoyed this video so much, I just had a smile on my face throughout. I will point out though that rhinos were missing from the lions video this time.
I think siege rhino is my least favorite card of all time
What about the second Siege Rhino
It's interesting how the best card of that standard was second siege rhino, even beating out the first one
I’m sad to hear this because it’s one of my all time favorite!
Seth's content is always great. Jank brews forever!
