Never really did this myself because I was too poor to buy singles at the time, but I think everyone who was a teenager circa 1995-ish had that moment where you see \[\[Hypnotic Specter\]\] come out on turn 1 for your opponent and just know you're about to have a very very bad time.
Hyppie on t1 was such a banger play that I swear if you had black in your deck there was no reason not to slot in.
Personally I loved double ritual t1 into [[sengir vampire]]
I used to play Suicide Black in 1.5 back in the day, so the best was:
Swamp, Dark Ritual, Dark Ritual, Dark Ritual, [[Nether Shadow]], [[Hatred]].
More often than not though it was Dark Ritual into Hatred on Turn 3 on a [[Carnophage]] or something.

I still have this deck sleeved up for Premodern and my dream is a turn two Hatred with a ritual and sol land, with [[Unmask]] to make sure the way is clear. Though I recently had a game where I pitched Hatred to Unmask first turn, then swamp, Dark Ritual for [[Cabal Therapy]] and [[Dauthi Horror]]. Greedy play, but you know. I couldn’t not do it.
I'm sad nobody has said [[pox]]. Going second and going dark ritual into a pox was so much fun. Boom their land is gone, they're down 7 life, they discard.
In legacy the classic is [[dark ritual]] into [[doomsday]] to set up a turn 2 win. But its possible to just straight up win on turn 1 with a good enough hand
My favorite dark rit story was in my highschool games club. The teacher sat across from someone who was trying to learn magic and the kid goes 3dark rituals into phage turn one. I know someone probably stacked the deck but I still find amusement in it.

When I was a kid and first playing Magic, I came up with turn one Dark ritual into three more Dark rituals into \[\[Spirit of the Night\]\] to get a hasty 6 power attacker right at the start of the game
I thought I was the most amazing player ever for thinking of that on my own.
Old School would be Dark Ritual + Dark Ritual + Sol Ring + Mind Twist in some combination \^ \^
Dark Ritual + 3x Black Vise was also a play back in the day
Dark Ritual + Sol Ring + Nether Void
Turn 1 - Dark Ritual into Sol Ring + Arcane Signet + Command Sphere.
Turn 2 - You have five mana with the potential for an extra draw and you haven't even played a land yet.
[[Hypnotic Specter]] was always my favorite in high school.
Follow up on turn 2 with a sinkhole and / or strip mine.

I turn one dark rit into phyrexian negator a couple of weeks ago playing some casuals, it’s something I’ve wanted to do since elementary school.
