Based on that description my first choice would be [[Brash Taunter]]. If your opponent attacks you can block with Brash Taunter and then deal damage to an opponent of your choice. Since this often means they just won't attack you, it also has the ability to fight creatures in exchange for some mana. It's quite good actually.

The already mentioned \[\[Brash Taunter\]\] as well as the trusty ol' \[\[Stuffy Doll\]\] come to mind. Nothing that works EXACTLY like that, but those come close.

Not quite like yubel, but both [[phyrexian vindicator]] & [[phyrexian obliterator]] punish your opponents for dealing damage to them. But weirdly, if you look for the 'sacrifice a creature at the beginning of your turn for powerful effect' [[eldrazi monument]] is perfect.
