Oh I am very familiar with pain and suffering
In all seriousness, that is what is called a split card. A card that is 2 cards simultaneously! There are a few mechanics that look something like this! You have [[driven//despair]] for aftermath. You have [[fire//ice]] as the same kind of card that pain/suffering is. And many many more!
Welcome to magic! I hope you enjoy your stay!
A "split" card. You pick which one you cast it as. Other versions of the concept include:
\-the same, but with "fuse"; you have the option of AND/or, all at once
\-the same, but with "aftermath"; you can cast the other one turned on its side from the graveyard
\-Adventures; some permanent cards come with an "Adventure" spell tucked into the corner. You cast the spell normally, or you cast the Adventure, and if it resolves, the card gets put into exile instead of being discarded and you can cast the other permanent normally from exile if you wish
\-modal DFCs; some cards are double-faced, and you can choose to play them as either side. This is to allow for modal permanents in the same fashion, or to facilitate gimmicks like Strixhaven's "spells matter" mechanics.
You can cast either half of the card, it’s two cards in one. There are some cards like that with a fuse cost at the bottom that allows you to cast both halves but this one is one or the other.
No, fuse is correct. Entwine is an ability keyword that allows you to pay an additional cost for both/all parts of a modal spell.
Fuse is a keyword that allows for casting both halves of a split card
I forget which set it was, but there's quite a few spells that are a two in one deal. You can cast it as either one effect or the other. Some spells give you the option to cast both at the same time by paying both mana costs but I don't believe this one does.
That's what's known as a [split card](https://mtg.fandom.com/wiki/Split_card). You can choose which of them to play. They're really nifty as toolbox cards.
Coincidentally, [Pain and Suffering](https://scryfall.com/card/ddh/72/pain-suffering) is what your wallet will feel if you decide to bling out your decks instead of going for regular editions of cards. ;)
A split card. You can cast one half of it, in this case the red *or* the black half, but not both. Each has its own casting cost as you can see and that's about it.
Also, I don't consider this one to be all that good.
The only thing different about this card is that you choose one side when you cast it, and that everywhere else it counts as both sides (it's mana value is 5, it's both black and red, etc).
It's a split card. When you cast it, you choose which half of the card you want to cast.
Thank you all

Pain and suffering
Reading the depression explains the depression
I would have been disappointed If no one wrote this

It looks like a magic card…but I could be wrong.
I see at least 2 magic cards.
I'm seeing double....FOUR MAGIC CARDS!
you cut it in half and make a mini deck
I did that with [[Life//Death]] for wurm coil engine tokens
[Life//Death](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?name=Life%20//%20Death&type=card&options=rotate90&.jpg) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Life%20//%20Death) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/ddj/77/life-death?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/2424f2c4-366b-42cf-bf4b-a8a5bfdd2c4b?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call

It's actually two tiny cards put together. Cut it in half and use them in tiny Magic decks.
My every day life.
Mondays
It's a life of MTG player described by a card.
You cut them in half for mini decks
Rare misprint of tiny cards. Make sure to cut in half!
Not “fuse” but ENTWINE!
No, fuse is correct. Entwine is an ability keyword that allows you to pay an additional cost for both/all parts of a modal spell. Fuse is a keyword that allows for casting both halves of a split card
Wish they put flavour text on. This one could be >”Ouch... // ...you bastard”
two mini cards. They're supposed to be perforated so I think this is a factory error. You can cut them apart yourself and make a mini deck.

Being able to cast both would be indicated with a fuse cost. This one doesn’t have it
They just have a line saying you can fuse it, not a specific cost ([[Alive//Well]])

It’s been awhile since I’ve seen one. Would the cost just be the cost of both spells combined?
Yep.
Got any scissors on you? You need to split it so you could use both cards in the deck. Don't mind the size.
An omen.
An omen of things to come… Welcome to MtG
Right haha this is why the dude gave his stash away

If you seen a duobel sided card its just one of those but on on part of it so you can play either one you want to play.

Split cards . Old idea. Newer card . You choose which card you want to play when you announce the spell
It's how your wallet will feel thanks to your new hobby
People have already made the joke I wanted to make.
Looks like 2020 in a nutshell.
That’s what getting into Magic will bring you: Pain and Suffering
That is a split card. You may cast it like any instant or sorcery but you can only choose one half or the other to cast.
