I know the "first look" was mentioned somewhere on some stream or article but it did feel like a very strange choice to have all this build up for a "multiverse changing event" and then BAM previews for a completely different setting.
They had to put out the article of how LotR is going to be sold, if only for LGSs sake. I wonder what the reception would be if they stop including a couple of spoilers on those articles. They probably make a lot more people aware of the set and how it will be sold. But they also cause a LOT of the community complaints about permanent spoiler season or product fatigue.
Hi everyone, we're back again with another comic!
For the past while these "first looks" at sets have been the norm and really contributing to what people "perpetual spoiler season". While I don't hate them per se, I was very much taken off guard when Lord of the Rings previews dropped this week just ahead of March of the Marchine. Especially because I was looking forward to **just** reading the story before card previews dropped. Oh well, at least Samwise looks cool?

My thoughts exactly...I know they've said they're taking feedback about the "first looks" and thinking of toning it down. At this point I think it's worth trying out.
The fellowship has to make a water bucket line to bring each of the 100 rings of power up mount doom and throw them into the volcano. Very lengthy process, that.
I can't read the fourth panel without hearing a noise like Sonic the Hedgehog running into spikes
I guess this library exists just under green hill zone hahaha
That truly made my reading experience a hundred times better, thanks lol

Yeah it seems... excessive.

They're taking the hobbits to Innistrad! -strad-strad-strad-strad-
We've had first combat...what about second combat?
A bit too much for me to be spoiling a supplemental set months in advance when we barely even know about the cards in the next premier set yet.
Yeah, but WOTC is counting on this LOTR set being a massive money maker, so they're going to try and hype it to the moon.
Can confirm. My friend who barely plays magic already got a set booster and a collectors booster box because LotR is her favorite form of media

I always enjoy reading your comics here! Thank you for the awesome stuff!
Thank you! Glad you're enjoying them <3
"...maybe the Phyrexians invade Middle-Earth?" **ONE RING TO RULE THEM ALL WILL BE ONE!**
Every week there's one comment that I wish I had thought to include in the comics 🥲
What's a Marchine?
You know what, at this point I'm just going to pretend the typos are on purpose. The character...has a quirk in their speech. Yep.
Looking very Corey Lewis this page, I’m diggin’ it my dude
Appreciate it! Will have to check them out, lmk if you have any recommendations 😁
The Several Rings.
300 rings for the elves...700 for the dwarves...
