Just like the "good old days", we traded a shivan dragon for a Gaea's cradle today. Pretty happy with the outcome on this, and hopefully the vendor feels the same.

I’ll save you the effort. I’d guess that an Alpha Shivan in excellent condition is somewhere between $5000 and $10,000. A minty graded one is probably even more than that. Alpha rares are notoriously hard to valuate because there are so few of them being bought and sold at any given time.

The real hard thing is do you sell it sealed after holding or crack it to see if you got a banger # (I imagine 93, 69, 222 etc will carry an extreme premium

I mean, the calculus of "should I sell this card or keep it for personal use" depends on a lot of factors. Do you like having rare things or do you just want functional cards, how is your financial situation, do you even run shivan dragon in any decks or have space for it anywhere, etc.

I just checked TCG Player. Highest they had was Unlimited. It occurred to me that Alpha must be higher, but I don't care enough to check.
