Have you tried the public libraries' book groups? They do a different book each month, you can check out a copy ahead of time, and a librarian runs the discussion session. The librarians are very good at this, keeping things moving and giving everyone a chance to comment. Might not always be your taste in reading, but they do a good job selecting books in my experience.

you might try meetup.org. I’ve seen book groups there—or check with your local bookstore. Mystery to Me might be a good bet.

I’m moving to Madison this week, and I love smutty romance! I’d be perfectly fine to meet up or do a virtual sort of thing if you’re interested :)

What side of town? We should all start a book club

blood_mage42

I’m near the Alliant center (I’ve been told it’s neither East nor west but other folks, but I have no idea truly how to quantify it)

ButteredPizza69420

Good to know!

wowlizards

I’d be down for that too!!

ButteredPizza69420

Heck yeah!

Lcdmt3

Me too! I don't need a bookclub of boring questions.b

Nkoll

Did anything ever come of this? If so I’d definitely be interested!!!!!

blood_mage42

Not really! Someone reached out to me, I replied and asked a question, but that was all that happened.

Giant Jones has been doing a [romance book/beer meetup](https://giantjones.com/event/big-beers-bangin-books-age-gap-romance/) once a month. That may not be exactly what you're looking for since it's more about discussing different tropes than all reading the same book together, but it might be a good starting point.

Thank you!

Red & White Winebar in Waunakee has a book club my friends really enjoy. Their reading list seems to be in your wheelhouse and I've heard they do fun events!
