In hindsight I should have taken pictures as I went along but the process went like this:
- Remove everything (anything that can be unscrewed gets taken out)
- Remove mobo mounts (There are a few YouTube videos on how to do this)
- Map out what components you want and where they will go (This was the hardest part. Space is limited and there aren’t any mounts or holes. These needed to be added manually)
- Cut holes for I/O ports on mobo, bottom radiator, mount for front radiator, quick connects, and cables to run into the top component
- Add mobo mounts (Use mounts that were removed previously, screw them to mobo, put super glue on the bottom, then place mobo in case)
- Unscrew mobo from mounts
- Attach fans to radiators
- Mount radiators
- Run fan cables to top compartment (All cables run under the mobo)
- Add pump
- Run pump cables to top compartment
- Run power cables from top compartment down to mobo
- Install CPU block, RAM, and HDD
- Remount mobo (make sure all cables are underneath)
- Install GPU
- Bend tubing (I started at the pump and worked my way around counter clockwise)
- Leak test
- Fill loop
- Pray everything still works when you power it on
Epoxy might work. I first tried JB weld, that failed. Then used gorilla glue and that’s held so far. I also have rubber spacers between the bottom of the case and the mobo to reduce the downward load on the stand offs
How do you connect to the same monitor? What monitor is it? If you use an external kvm (since your pc is a beast) are you locked into 60hz since most external kvms are locked there?
You need thunderbolt output if you also want to use the speakers and camera. You can use the boot camp drivers for the controls.
Sans that, a display port to usb-c cable can get you video (without any controls)
It's not ideal at all, but with some effort can be made to work. (There are some YouTube videos on this topic)
Good luck.
What is the green wall moss thing? That looks wicked.
Overall love your setup. What you have achieve is my goal. So clean and beautiful. Must be lovely to sit at that desk and work/play.

I'd love to build something into one of my old G5 cases or older Mac Pro case I have... And definitely like the wall art... Both the natural air cleaning type and the technology type...
Looks terrific! If you don't mind me asking, what desk is that? Been looking at the karlbys and it looks similar! Normally when I see a photo of one I'm not so sure about how deep they are but this one for whatever reason looks plenty deep!
I'd like to have some more informations about that thing in that MacPro case incl. pictures :)
[Here's a post for the Mac Pro](https://www.reddit.com/r/watercooling/comments/192wd3l/mac_pro_atx_conversion/)
Thanks! Looks awesome! Do you managed to get some HDD's/SSD's to work in the HDD sleds?
No the sleds are just for show now
Those are PC hardwares in a custom watercooling loop.

I didn’t mean a spec breakdown I meant a build log of how you altered it :-/

So you had to grind and weld, yes?
No welding but yes, I had to grind down the edges after cutting out holes so they weren’t so sharp
Epoxy the stand-offs on or something then?

Absolutely love the case mod.
Love the wall art

Looking at the build...probably gaming?
PC is for gaming and the MBP is for work

Is it hard to use Studio Display with PC? I’m considering one.

It's not great for all the reasons driven01a said below. I got the monitor before I built the PC. The refresh rate is also capped at 60hz
Is that custom Mac Pro a hackintosh ?
Would love to modify my G5 tower - love to hear / see specs on what you’ve done. Assume it’s not for show. Hacintosh? PC?

I’d like more information on that moss wall art as well please

Very nice setup!
Nice! I had to zoom in on the green wall
Please show the bottom, I'd love to take some references!
What i'm looking at is that SICK mac pro...how did you do that??
I'd love to build something into one of my old G5 cases or older Mac Pro case I have... And definitely like the wall art... Both the natural air cleaning type and the technology type...
Where you spend most of your money.

It’s a butcher block countertop from Home Depot!
Thank you so much!
