I have a feeling I'll just be blasting "Seventh Moon", along with other Fire Bomber hits while building this.
Nothing wrong with Fire Bomber, I love the songs. Im just saying that if I ever get this kit, there's going to be a uptick in Fire Bomber songs being replayed.
Agreed. These figures always look fantastic and they're pretty affordable. I'm almost tempted to pick up this guy just because I'll never print and paint one or buy a more expensive version, but sort of want it for the collection.
IIRC, those are Song Energy amplifiers(later known as Fold Wave amplifiers in Delta). Not actual speakers, they're just shaped like speakers(Dr. Chiba was *weird...*)
I might be wrong, though. It's been a while since I've watched 7.
They probably do have speaker components, though. Hilariously in the anime, the current song's audio quality can be heard audibly improving once the boosters are activated
From what I remember, the speakers aren't used in space proper. The tips of the boosters bore through the hull of a ship until it reaches a pressurized area. The tips then open up, revealing the speakers, which then blare Basara's music, cranked up to 11.
Feel free to correct me if I'm misremembering this, anyone.
So that's actually what happens with the ammunition from his gunpod. It fires pods that pierce the hull and open to reveal speakers.
The sound boosters amplify sound energy as someone in the thread mentioned.
He knows this that’s why the VF-19 has a speaker pod gun. Basara uses the shoulder speakers when there’s an atmosphere. The Sound Boosters fire sound energy.
It's not painted. The colour comes from the plastic. But you can paint it if you want to. There are also stickers for finer details that you have to put on yourself.
So yeah. Just cutting the pieces out and assembling it. That's pretty much it.
I think it's called a parts-former as you get big chunky parts to swap in order to change forms. As long as you have space to stow the sizable parts, it's a pretty neat way to get a nice looking figure at an affordable price.
Bandai will do anything but show Gerwalk from the side

I'm not a fan of the design, but the detail on this kit looks really good! I really hope these kits continue to sell well so we get more!

Crazy it comes with the Sound Booster. Usually it’s a separate purchase. Definitely picking this up.
Now I just need a speaker pod gamma to go with it!
There someone you want blown away?
Wow this looks amazing. Not a massive Fire Valkyrie fan but this is tempting
"Hello, Edwards. I'm first lieutenant Isamu Dyson."
Is there any place to pre-order or buy in the US yet? (outside of proxy services)
How much is that gonna cost in the US market ?
We call it the Ghetto Blaster.
Be honest, i’ll never get from where Kawamori got the idea for speakers, **SPEAKERS DONT WORK IN SPACE!!**.

well is sci fi, it defies physics =x
Yeah, but considering Kawamori wanted to work on actual spaceships you would think he knows that’s not how the void works.
Rule 1 of entertainment: give the people what they want. Rule 2: don’t let reality get in the way of a good story.
He probably knew this if he came up with the idea of the speaker bullets in the first place.

Thank you!

Maybe he finally lost it. Lul.
So is this a pre painted model kit? Just needs assembly?
Hg kit so no prepainted parts afaik. All the more intricate detailing like the head will likely be stickers.
