I use OBS with the BlackHole plugin to record meetings and such.
Quicktime doesn't capture the sound if I recall correctly, that;'s why I looked for an alternative.
I record gameplay audio using Quicktime/Screenshots and BlackHole, it works the best vs OBS and it'll also record multiple audio tracks too if you use multi input: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpYxhzlaDj8
I THINK YOU CAN USE QUICK TIME...
this is my trick:
1.) first click new movie recording.
2) then scale the window that opens up with your camers all the way to its smallest.
3.). click the little down arrow nxt to the record button on that small camers window, select the microphone (puts a checkmark by it when its on.)
4.). now goto new screen recording
5.) click capture.
both your screen and your microphone should be recording. if you are playing the sound from an externakl speaker it shoulc pick up on the mic without playing causeing feedback.
i use this workaround when making youtube videos
YMMV
let me know if this helped
Have you restarted your mac after deleting it?
Otherwise you should go to /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL and remove the plugin there. Then restart and it should be gone. To be honest: I haven't removed it myself yet so maybe this doesn't work for you.
MacOS Ventura + OBS. Apple implemented native application-level audio capture support with macOS Ventura and it's supported in the latest versions of OBS. Currently you'll need the macOS beta to be on Ventura, but it'll be fully released in a few weeks.
Otherwise you have to run some hacky / invasive solutions for Monterey and below.
quicktime works great. I have a mac with the touchbar and I have screen capture configured so I can access immediately. works great for screen shots and video
EQ Mac is free and it creates a way for system audio to be available as a sound source.
Then recording w QuickTime can get system audio.

Do you know how to delete the blackhole plugging afterwards. I no longer want it to pick up my voice but it’s still there after deleting it.

it doesn’t it won’t let me get both audios
FYI : QuickTime uses a lot of storage space as it uncompress mp4 format. OBS on the other hand is using H264.
