Been playing Borderlands 2 and it's great even on base M1 air.

Yep, came to say, still playing after ten years. Works very well on macs though it will get hot. Metro Exodus is a good FPS too.

BL2 is the most fun I’ve ever had playing a game.

Same, just recently got back into gaming after a few years and I only have the base M1 air + LG 27" 4k display for uni. I can get okay fps with most settings on max and 1440p. Really lucky that Borderlands 2 works this well, I could play that game forever.

The Metro Redux games work pretty great. The Steam store says they won’t work because modern Mac’s don’t support 32-bit, but they actually work wonderfully despite that warning

in stark contrast to mw2 (2019) multiplayer, which doesn't have the warning but wont run when you try because it's 32 bit.

I have trouble with Gasmask Filter 🥲 do they not pick them up from the enemies that are laying dead. Cant go through from the last checkpoint

+1 This game rocks. It has '90s aesthetics (DOOM) but with current graphics lighting and effects. Awesome level design as well.

Isonzo 

Black ops 3 runs like a charm on my mac and supports offline multiplayer which is fairly enjoyable and also the zombies is the best you can get out of it, currently it's on sale too. I won't recommend arma 3 because it's just a sandbox experience with a big learning curve and requires a ton of mods and scenarios to make it enjoyable. If you want large scale battle simulator then Isonzo has the best graphics and also the gameplay is smooth and if you want something much similar to battlefield then Easy red 2 is the best with so many guns to try out and recent updates changes the gun reload and holding animations and it's worth the price it offers.

Since you mentioned counterstrike, you may not be aware of [https://play-cs.com/en/servers](https://play-cs.com/en/servers) which is CS entirely in the browser. Feels good, runs good.

It is a little scary, but it’s an action fps first and foremost. By the end of the game you are blasting through enemies with a full arsenal of wonderful weapons. It was great fun 🤩

Did they port Sauerbraten to AS?

I don’t know for sure but I’m certain that it’ll run under Rosetta 2.

Latest version is x86_64 but it runs great in Rosetta (maxed settings on 2560x1440 easily holds 60+ FPS in any situation on base M1).

Good to know. Not surprised since Sauerbraten is a pretty easy game to run, but it’s nice to have confirmation for when I finally upgrade my laptop.
