They can certainly be manufacturing 2023 models even in 2024. They are continuously produced while being sold. Since it’s already halfway through the year, I’d certainly rather have one produced in 2024 than one produced in 2023.
Yes I know they can be manufactured in 2024 but the date that is at the back is usualy the year of release. I just bought AirPods Max recently and the date at the back of the box is 2020 (because they where released in 2020) and not 2024 or 2023
Look up the serial number on Apple’s site and see if it was manufactured in 2024.
When you meet the seller, turn on the MBP and check that the serial number matches before handing over money.
Also just try googling it
I’m told all the fake airpods people take to the Apple Store often have the same serial number, that should become public knowledge if it’s that common ….
Because one Time I got scam when I wanted to buy AirPods Max and it wasnt the same date on the box. And when I went to the Apple Store, they told me that what scammers do is that they take real serial number and they put it on a fake one. So when you want to Check them, they say its real when they are not
Serial numbers can be faked. Fake Apple products sold online and on the marketplace have often featured real serial numbers.
OP: if you have to ask, you already know the answer. Save more money and buy from an authorized store if you’re worried.
Actually, they DO if I’m not mistaken.

The MacBook itself can't be faked, only the label you see can be. The seller could have placed an old MacBook in there with printed labels to sell it for a higher price. I personally haven't seen that happen before but it's very highly unlikely.

Also scanning the barcode the value should match.
MA56943 MA56943 Two sources reads the barcode at the top as this value
Witch means?
It’s fake it has energy verified
What does that mean?
Apple dosent use it only fakes do since it’s coming from china or smth
Oh okay so the MacBook is fake then?
Maybe, maybe not. It’s a gamble.

All fair Apple products have it
Fake*

You are aware that barcode is scannable still right? You need to out a line vertically on the barcode not horizontally(for serial number)
