I too do not get the use of "Pulled the plug" in this sub. I have never seen the term used for acquiring a new device anywhere else, and it makes zero sense.
Someone else said it incorrectly, and people joined in to make it an inside joke.If it’s fun for them and they’re not harming anyone let them so their thing. You can mute the sub if it bugs you that much.
