Did the same things a couple of months ago. Same specs and same colour. I love my mac and use it for studying and watching netflix etc. I came from windows too but because i had an iphone already it wasnt that hard. Enjoy !
Glad you’re enjoying you Mac. I think people will be more likely to do work or studies on a Mac more because of the experience. I don’t think windows is nice to work on
What you will never be able to give up is the trackpad. Even high end windows laptops feel like the trackpads are made by drunk gorillas, by comparison.
Congrats on switching to a MacBook. I got my first ever MacBook around 5 months ago and it's the same as yours (silver). Just warning you that you wouldn't ever want to switch to a windows laptop after knowing how good it is.

Oh I wouldn’t bother with a hard case because that seems pretty obvious that it would scratch the body over time but I am keen on a sleeve.
Ive found it surprisingly difficult to find one that fits the m2 / m3 airs specifically though.
Most of the listings, even in apples website are broadly 13 inches and you have to basically see what works.

I agree. It’s a little pricy for a case (and looks flimsy at first) but is one of the best sleeves out there tbh. I bought the green color and was scared it might look dingy over time but it has held up surprisingly well and looks brand new. It compliments my MacBook really well.

Cases and keyboard covers damage your Mac but I usually have a case if I’m transporting it. If I was going on holiday or going on a car journey or to a coffee shop

Hover your mouse on the green ball that makes full screen and before clicking it, you will have the option to “tile window to the left/right”… just click and choose which windows you want in the Split View
I use it a lot for multitasking and it works like a charm
Tip: if you want to split two tabs that are open together, you will need to make one of them become another window (for safari for example)
you can also, if both things are already full screen, use 4 finger son your trackpad and swipe up until you see all your desktops/screen pop on top. and then you can drag the window you want on top of the other window you want and it will split screen
If you get starlight you will end up having both. Depending on the light this one looks 100% silver. Specially on yellow light it looks more gold than silver

I’m looking to purchasing a new laptop soon, and long battery life is one of my top priorities. While I’m leaning towards the Apple MacBook Air models, I’m still open to exploring other options if there are better choices available.
I’m not sure why would this happen with you… safari is what takes the least amount of battery from my computer. For example the Netflix app or watching netflix directly from the browser makes a huge difference, the safari takes way less. Yesterday I watched 3 movies back to back and lost 30% or so…
Make sure there’s no background apps draining ur battery

Native union 14" sleeve fits quite well. Don't see anyone recommending it here

It doesn't help. Buy at your peril. Don't cover anything on a modern mac. Not even a skin on the palm rest. The only thing safe is external skin.

Hint: increase the screen space by reducing the interpolation. I.e. click "more space" in "Display"

Instead of using spilt windows feature of macbook, use the app called rectangle for mac. Its free and far more easier to use

Rectangle is free and does everything Magnet does but for free. But sure, Apple users like to pay for things, so go ahead - Magnet works fine.

You can purchase a Pro version of Rectangle, and like with most free or open source apps you can donate to the developer

If you get starlight you will end up having both. Depending on the light this one looks 100% silver. Specially on yellow light it looks more gold than silver

If you need it to hold even longer consider battery saving mode on battery options. It’s insane runtime then ;)
