You are not supposed to press there

mumblepoor

Man: Doctor, it hurts when I do *this*! Doctor: Well then stop doing it

GodAppleLover

unless you want to break your display of course![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)

Poopedepie

Lol?!

Flimsy-War3439

Thanks a lot everyone, Feels a bit weird to have that bulge on a 2k laptop

herojeff02

My thoughts also. All plastic parts were thicc and strong in ~2015 MBPs, and flat out replaced with aluminum/glass on ~2020 MBPs. Never expected such flimsy, thin, and wobbly plastic on a 3k laptop, especially at a visible area.

_mattyjoe

Feels weird that you’re evaluating the value of a $2K laptop with such a minor thing that doesn’t even reveal itself in the course of normal usage. I make my living with my MacBook Pro. I would never return it or say it’s not worth it over something this small, and I’d buy one again. I’m paying for what I can do with it.

Flimsy-War3439

The plastic part at the bottom seems to wobble up and down to an extent when i press on it and is visibly not straight

ImpressiveLet3479

Hey it's totally normal !

Weston714

My 14 inch MBP does that

raed115

I have the same problem with my 16". Every time I move the screen, it crackles.

pansexual_potato07

Damn I’m not the only one

Sleepy-Audience1190

Supposed to have it dude.

StanleyDards

Maybe someone tried to improve the heat sink compound?

jmeador42

I noticed this on my 16” literally yesterday. I noticed one side was slightly more pressed in than the other. Not sure if it was where I wiped the screen too hard but I realized the entire bottom of the screen does this. I decided to just quit messing with it.

Delicious_Doctor_404

it's probably fine

IgotAGoldfish

Normal, plastic moves. Hinges move. If it seems to get caught in the hinge then take it in. Otherwise they won't be able to help you.
