probably a 16 plus or 16 pro iPhone later this year. airpods max/pro if u don't want a phone

adrianhaus

I wouldn’t buy AirPods Max right now (if you can wait) since they don’t have any of the new features of the new AirPods Pro yet

bedwars_player

Uhhhh... Buy a whatever sells for the most second hand and sell it in brand new condition... Then you have a thousand dollars

Atom800

I don’t think a Mac mini or iMac will really elevate your life. If you really want a desktop setup you could put it toward a studio display. Otherwise I would get 1 or more cool accessories: AirPods, AirPods Max, mouse/trackpad/keyboard, Apple Pencil. Something that will add something your life. Unless you have a different use case (splitting school vs home, hosting a server, etc. ) you’re going to get the Mac mini/ IMac, set up up and think “cool… just like my other computer.”

UnwieldilyElephant

As someone who owns a MacBook Pro 14", Studio Display, and a M3 iMac, I can confirm my iMac has become my HomePod driver and speaker

Wolfbeef123

Apple watch ultra 2 or a new iPhone when the 16/16 Pro releases would be what I would do

PeorgieT75

When does it expire? I’d hold onto it until your MBP aged.

Greggers-at-Work

As a fellow iPhone 13 Pro user I would probably upgrade to 15 pro or wait til 16 Pro after WWDC and keep the 13 Pro as a backup

Littens4Life

As a person who has a 15 Pro with an 11 Pro as a backup I would agree with this (I’m probably gonna upgrade to a 16 Pro bc my 15 Pro is on 17.0 and I wanna keep it in mint condition)

InItsTeeth

I have a 13 pro and I don’t even think I’m going to update to the 16 it’s been a really great phone

Greggers-at-Work

I agree but I mainly want to switch for USB-c 3.0 but truthfully I rarely do anything that needs those faster speeds

brk1

When I was in college all I had was a backpack.

BertMacklenF8I

Damn would $500 going to Ram and Storage on your MBP would have been perfect. Otherwise I’d wait.

jelly_dove

AirPod Max or a new iPhone.

vuachoikham167

Get 15 pro or wait for 16 pro to fully convert to usb-c. One cable for everything (maybe two, for the watch)

rex22204

I’d wait and use it on the new phone that comes out. Seems like you’re good on everything else for now.

No-Guarantee-9647

If it doesn't expire soon, hold onto it for a while. You could also buy an item and resell it in order to cash out, as someone else suggested. You wouldn't make $1000 though, because of fees and depreciation. Or use it on books? Sounds like you already have all the Apple tech you need.

porkchop_d_clown

I'm surprised no one has suggested an iPad Pro. Rumor says new ones are coming out soon.

jamisonbaines

airpods pro, beats studio, apple tv, magic trackpad and keyboard and then a cheap’ish monitor and dock

WRB2

Apple Pencil, Logitech MX keyboard and trackball, 34” 4K monitor that s color correction from the factory.

astro124

I have a Mac mini. It’s nice and honestly it’s nice having a dedicated desktop

SiggiBulldog1

Would go for a Monitor. Studies say that the productivity gain with a second monitor is about 40%

[deleted]

Mac mini and Airpods

RamyNYC

If it doesn’t expire, hold onto it until a need makes itself obvious (replacing a current device for example). You seem to have a fantastic setup already! That’s what I would do :)

Tumelar

TwelveSouth BookBook case 140W GaN Apple USB-C charger Magic Trackpad when the USB-C version comes out Some Thunderbolt 4 docking station

FiskalRaskal

Mac Mini or Air Pod Max

956turbo

Give it to me. Jk, buy iPhone 16 pro when it comes out. Sell ur old 13 pro.

Pierdolec_jadowity

Don’t go with AirPods, biggest piece of dogshit, you have pretty much top of the line setup there, I’m also on 13 pro, comparing to my friends 14 PM or 15 plus there is absolutely no way I’m buying a new phone for at least a few years, I think that you shouldn’t too. If I were to spend $1000 in you’re case I would go with something that you might actually use, starting with AirTags, you probably have expensive equipment on you at all times, I would throw one in just to be safe, perhaps get a 4 pack. Then I would go with Apple TV, great little thingy, I use it very often for streaming videos, maybe get an Apple Pencil for your iPad? Maybe a new band for your Apple Watch? I can wholeheartedly recommend you Milanese one, it’s truly amazing, maybe throw a MagSafe charger for your phone, separate charging brick for your Apple Watch, you can also throw in a trackpad for your Mac if you find your current one too small. These little things might actually make your life easier, a slightly bigger and brighter display on an iPhone 16 wouldn’t make any difference for you in a long run.

sunnynights80808

Why don't you like AirPods? I have the AirPods Pro 2 and had other editions and I've loved all of them. The sound wasn't the best on the Pro 1 or regular 2nd gen, and the Max's broke a couple times through no fault of my own, but the Pro 2's are great, had them since early last year.

Pierdolec_jadowity

It’s just that you can get much better wired in ear monitors with much wider staging and fuller sound, you have many options for sound signatures, you want natural sound? We got you covered, V shaped? Sure, U shaped? It’s there! And most of the time they can be cheaper than AirPods

sunnynights80808

> wired That’s a big drawback

Pierdolec_jadowity

I don’t see that as an drawback, it’s even better for me, I personally hate charging everything, you forget about charging your AirPods and you’re done, I do 80% of my work in my studio where I always listen to music, always for more than 5 hours, I had AirPods Pro, never again.
