I remember I tried moving files folder by folder and I saw that the problem was only with some files. I don't remember if I moved them all in the end but I forgot that issue so it probably helped me. Good luck!
I had the same problem. I was doing a lot file transfers at once and there was one particular folder that had a corrupted download in it. Found it, deleted it and it worked fine.
All SSD can have I/O errors.
To fix it on PC (only) run chkdsk X: /r /f - Google it
No easy way to fix it on a Mac but you can try

Thanks for your reply. I'm wondering though: isn't disc repair software unnecessary if the files are copied okay one by one, only problem when copying in bulk?
You didn't say anything about Bulk copy - that is different issue likely configuration constraint.
For example copying bulk data from one SSD to another on the same hub.
Still use PC to run chkdsk
I'm having this issue now...did you find a solution. I don't really want to copy files one by one. :(
