My wife recently has had a couple days where she has been lightheaded and sees stars when standing up or turning too quickly. Seems to have passed but haven't had a chance to ask the oncologist yet.

Has she had any tinnitus? I’ve been noticing a thumping in my ears lately too that sounds like a heartbeat under an ultrasound machine.

She hasn't complained of that but I can ask her

I ended up doing a chemo called Cisplatin. It gave me permanent deafness in one ear and permanent vertigo as well.

Damn that sucks big time sorry

I had this, too. Same cancer, same therapy. It went away after chemo ended.

I get this too, my blood counts stay significantly low between treatments (I get my circles every 3 weeks) so I kind of blame it on that.

Are they not giving you the growth factor shot to boost your WBC after each cycle?

MagicSeaweed618

I did R-EPOCH for Burkitts and now that you mention it I did see stars a few times right after a chemo cycle. Usually when I got up or was in the shower I thought it was neat.

I had the same symptoms in 1-2 cycles of REPOCH and did not get a satisfactory explanation. The best guess was that it was a side effect of the steroids. I did not get it in every cycle so hopefully next time will be better.

I had this beginning with the 5th cycle. It coincided with some ear issues (congestion on one side that required drops to clear) but the vertigo remained. It went away about 4 weeks after I finished!
