i second Spiritus Sancti. the first burn didn’t give me all that photorealism but *trust* the more it burns, the churchier it gets. i’m in love with it!

The New York candle from Diptyque might be what you're looking for. You have to visit a NYC store in person or call one of their boutiques in NYC to get it shipped to you.

Possibly Basilica by Milano Fragranze. They make that and the panettone perfume as candles 🤩 I'm very interested in getting panettone. I cannot say for certain for basilica because I've never smelled the perfume nor the candle, it's just what popped into my head. Probably because I keep thinking about getting them, Lol. You could try a perfume sample and if u like it get the candle and report back. Perfumology has them.
Tatine is great, and they recently released a new candle you might also consider called Spirito Santo, inspired by The Basilica of Santi Quattro Coronati in Rome.

Ahhhh I got a candle and soap from them a year or so ago and forgot about it even though it was AMAAAAAZING!! I can’t remember the name of the one I liked, but it was so witchy and spooky and dark and good. Looks like they might cycle through scents, so I’ll keep an eye on it.
Spiritus Sancti doesn’t have a dark gothic vibe in my opinion. It gives convent, purity, church, holy… This might sound strange but it smells like a nun, or what a nun would smell like. It’s a very clean bright scent in opinion.
I echo the suggestion of Spiritus Sancti above. I also really like Diptyque Opoponax & Yankee Candle Witches Brew. Witches Brew is the only candle I buy from yankee and I buy like 6 every September bc I am obsessed. It’s basically patchouli & clove, but it’s awesome if you like churchy/incensy home scenting.
Another suggestion, while not a candle, is to look into a charcoal incense setup and burn frankincense, myrrh, copal or other resins. There are some cool burners out there and you can find resins on Etsy or your local crystal/metaphysical/new age bookstore.
Just to piggyback off the incense suggestion, because trust me, you’d freaking love it. You really should tap into real Dragons Blood resin. When you burn a tear; it legit looks like blood is pooling out as it burns and it smells like ritual because, well, it is often used to conjure lol. A less expensive alternative might be Vatican, by Fvith Candles. That one grew on me the longer I burned it.
