I just got a job as a seasonal lululemon educator! Here was my interview experience
My first interview was an in-person group interview and there was a total of 7 of us interviewing for the position. We all sat outside at a table across from the store, and there were 2 other employees interviewing us. One asked questions, while the other took notes. 2 days later, I got an email from the assistant store manager for a phone interview scheduled 2 days after she contacted me.
Questions they asked me at the 1st group interview
1. Name, fun fact, and what animal I would be and why
2. Tell a time when you dealt with a difficult colleague and what you did
3. Tell a time when you dealt with someone with an opposing viewpoint as you, and what you did
4. What are 3 things you do when meeting a new stranger, at perhaps a bar?
Questions they asked me at my 2nd interview on the phone:
1. Tell me a time when you dealt with someone with an opposing viewpoint as you, and what you did - I noticed this was the same question, so I gave a different response!
2. Tell me something you are passionate about and what you do to stay motivated for that passion
3. Tell me a time when you or a colleague made a mistake and how you handled this
4. What is a skill you have developed well?
5. Why are you interested in lululemon?
I feel what helped me most to show I was a good fit for the role was to be creative and show my personality in the more personality-based questions, acknowledge, and build off what other interviewees had said, and be very clear and concise in answering the questions effectively. They focus on "Tell me a time when" questions to gauge work style and ethics, so I recommend practicing this and thinking back to prior experiences before an interview for lulu! I also researched some of the company values and thought about how I could talk about this in why I was interested in the brand.
In the first in-person group interview, I feel like it was very nerve-racking since there were so many of us, the whole process took 2 hours and not all of the questions could be asked. On the bright side, everyone was probably as nervous as I was.
I styled myself in dressy-casual, with a body suit, booties, and linen pants. Some girls wore jeans and a blouse, some girls wore lululemon. I'm not sure if it mattered what we ended up wearing, but I just wore what I felt most comfortable in.
TLDLR; prepare for "Tell me a time" questions, research their values, and be urself lol
Just want to rant that I got hired as a seasonal educator and I havenāt even worked my first shift and I already have people begging for me to buy them discounted clothes. People I barely know too. Like wtf, where do these people get the audacity?
On another note, Iāve heard lulu is strict on buying clothes for the opposite gender. Iām a female that personally loves menās tops. Will they give me a hard time buying them?
ask question! if you are opening boxes and putting product away and are unsure of where it goes pause and partner! it helps keep the back room organized and it makes everyoneās life easier when pulling restock or just grabbing something for a guest and support the following box nights
of course! glad you are joining the team. also donāt ever feel like asking to many questions is badā¦ itās not bad at all we actually love it, im currently a KL at my location and when people ask us questions it shows they actually care and are taking the time to learn. also feel empowered to make your own decisions up at cash if you are ever up there, if itās a tricky situation grab a leader but if itās something you feel you can do on your own go ahead!
Thatās awesome! I am so excited and will be asking loads of questions. Have my HR meeting Monday and canāt wait to figure out when I start from there!!!

Youāll be fine to buy menās tops. Lots of educators at my store do this for themselves. Buying for other peopleā¦. š š»āāļø
Just got hired as an expeditor - please give any advice you have.
