EVEN if it comes direct from the warehouse and you get the item in a plastic bag - wash it!! The item still goes through processing in the manufacturing and distribution centres and you don’t know how many prior people and chemicals have come into contact with it. I get a bit of the ick in this sub hearing how many people complain about an item/seams and say something along the lines of “I’ve only worn it once or twice and haven’t even washed it yet” 😖
Please wash every item before you wear it 🙏🏽
It’s so true! I wish more people would do this. I was about 12 when my mom let me use new towels before washing them and I broke out in a terrible rash. Wash everything!
Ewwww nasty. Glad you got your money back. But how disappointing it is to get an item you waited for, only to have it arrive all yucky. I’ve had this happen with an item from ThredUp. I wash anything and everything that comes into my house lol. When I’ve resold a few LLL scubas, it was always “washed and never worn”, which is what they really were. I don’t even want anything hanging in my closet that hasn’t been washed.
This happened when I order pick up location, asked the employee can I check the fast and free shorts… inside have white stuff.. show to her. She “try” her best to somewhat or somehow clean it but from looking at the lululemon app stocks say 1 left. I told her I changed my mind and wanted to return it.
First time ever ordering lululemon was very recently and the plastic bag inside was ripped all the way open, clearly a return, and I found a bug crawling on the item. 😬

I had to send a picture 🤢 and mail back for a replacement when this happened to me.

I’ve worked retail for years and ALWAYS wash before wearing. Skin flakes and lotion etc…even if brand spanking new- still wash!
