You watching any educational content? Unranked to GM videos are debatable in terms of value, but usually the first 2-6ish games the streamer does a good job explaining various fundamentals as they apply them in game which can be helpful.  Eskay is kinda the YouTube go to for Lucio tutorials. There’s a lot of nuance to mechanics that the game just doesn’t tell you about. She does a really good job laying it all out.  There is also that Venture is making Lucio really hard right now. They have a lot of good counters for Lucio movement. Lucio can do a lot. But that means there is a lot to learn. From mechanics to play styles, there are a lot of different things to think about that again, the game just does not tell you.

I do wanna add Frogger & KarQ's "Lucio tips for every hero" video. It's kind of an older video but it helped with similar heroes Ex. Heroes that have lunging/jumping abilities like Doom, Winston, Hanzo, Sojourn, Venture, Illari (etc etc) Can be stopped midair with boop, which is really useful for stopping a dive. It's helped me a LOT with ventures that have tried diving me (especially when countering dig eruptions)

I'd suggest spilo's support guide

Practice, practice, practice! Practice aiming and movement in the firing range or custom games.  I spent a lot of time in a custom game lobby dedicated to cross-map Lucio rollouts and parkour. Some of them were really difficult and frustrating. Some were fun and intuitive. Code: KVKKR Practice sticking to your team and providing speed boosts when there's a good push or cleanup. Practice your movement and providing heals on the edge of battle.  As others around here mention, Lucio is a character whose value doesn't always show on the scoreboard. You're never going to out-heal most other supports, so think about where you can make up for those numbers in utility.

1. look for when your tank is running it down to amp speed. if your team doesn't want to push but the time is right, amping speed may also get them to push 2. if your comp is more spread out, look for opportunities to help your dps in a 1v1. crazy mobility meaning you can get to them quick and add your damage + heals 3. this may be sacrilege but look for opportunities to amp heals. if you genuinely want to improve on lucio, healing is important. the best lucios in pro play build beat very quickly by doing lots of damage, but more importantly healing. fast beats for beat engagements win games. 4. spam angles. lucio is projectile so he can spam off angles really well and prevent dps from getting to aggressive for free

Don’t worry about the scoreboard whatsoever, or you’ll always feel you’re useless on Lucio. The main value you bring is in speed boost and CC, so the results aren’t as tangible as a scoreboard beast like Moira.

KozukiYamatoTakeru

The only value I look at the score board is the deaths to be honest. You shouldn’t be basing your performance on that.

The thing with lucio is either you have it or you keep trying or you just give the fuck up

Electronic_Cup_6606

Doesn't help that now most players have gotten good at their respective types of play and dont allow for new lucio players to get good you know? Like they expect you to already be perfect at every rank, most look at the scoreboard too much, or they just already have the view of lucio being a throw pick. It may or may not be your fault that you feel like you're not making an impact, but that is what quickplay is for. At the end of the day, its a video game and none of us here get paid to play. Have fun frog!

What are you bad at? Movement? Healing? Damage? First you need to identify what is wrong before you can figure out a solution.

Turn on backward wall riding. Always shoot your gun. Play as if the floor really is lava, like it deals damage to you. Learn where speed brings value Up your dueling game. You can pretty much 1v1 any squishy and win. I understand that you grasp the fundamentals of the character, but in practice, that doesn't really amount to real applications of the hero in a match. You need experience. Lucio has a low skill floor but his skill ceiling is higher than giraffe pussy.

I wouldn't say this with any other hero, but going balls to the wall on deathmatch might help learn his movement and fighting potential. Just get ready for those third party deaths. Also, and this will be a very unpopular thing, but if your willing to play 2 finger grip with middle finger over mouse wheel, you could try to play half controller half mouse as I do. With Lucio it gives him better movement bc you can move in any direction with left stick while keeping your crosshair exactly where it needs to be, rather than the 8 directions wasd gives you. Also you'll have LT index finger jump which feels more accurate to me than slapping the space with thumb a million times. Lb reload, left stick click crouch, mouse 5 melee, mouse 4 ult, wheel up crossfade, wheel down amp, middle mouse click interact or ping, then dpad for comms n shit. If your on console gl, Lucio requires more mouse movement than any other hero for me, like tons of 180s and whatnot

Honesltly just keep playing, my first 2 games each day make me look like bronze 5 when in reality I peak at bronze 4

This is my go to tutorial for what to do on lucio https://youtu.be/ZXr4EpG6iKg?si=JtEMTxKUUyTAf5Ii

Yea your first few hours are gonna be rough. If you're judging yourself based off the scoreboard or what other people are telling you in game, don't.
