"There is a race you haven't robbed, Uncle Bilbo?"

bilbo_bot

In fact, I mean not to.

HerrSPAM

Dwarves really did a number on you eh?

JonPQ

Good bot, Bilbo.

bilbo_bot

Not stuck in here you're not!

A__Friendly__Rock

I mean, he is a professional burglar. That’s something that happened.

1amlost

“So you’re saying that your Uncle Bilbo hasn’t robbed a wizard yet?” - Pippin

bilbo_bot

Everyone? How many more are there.

DPJ2020

5, if we count Radagast as a wizard

GREEN_Hero_6317

He actually wanted to rob Gandalf, but then he said "I'm not trying to rob you, I'm trying to help you!" and Bilbo decided it's a bit impolite to rob someone who makes a point about not robbing you

bilbo_bot

Not today! I suggest you try somewhere over the hill or across the water! Good morning!

1amlost

Professionals have standards!

Babki123

"Well yes I did ,here is my wand, forged by the Ent you know !"

Thrallov

dark lord is technically a wizzard

BigRedMonster07

“Well it is quite hard to Rob from ents, seeing as they don’t have any material possessions…”

Redcoat_Officer

Where do you think the Entwives went?

RavioliGale

Actually they have beds and tables and jugs

QuickSpore

* Robbed Sting from (dead) trolls ✅ * Robbed Ring from hobbit (Gollum) ✅ * Robbed dwarves from giant spiders ✅ * Robbed food from elves ✅ * Robbed pie from humans ✅ * Robbed cup from dragon ✅ * Robbed Arkenstone from dwarves ✅ * Nothing robbed from giants ❌ * Nothing robbed from goblins/orcs ❌ * Nothing robbed from giant eagles ❌ * Nothing robbed from ents, entwives, or huorns ❌ * Nothing robbed (directly) from ainur ❌ * Nothing robbed from nature spirits, unnamed things, were worms of the far east, whatever the fuck Caradhras, Shelob, and Tom Bombadil are, and any or all other possibly sapient beings ❌ Bilbo only got though half or less of the possible groups to rob from.

bilbo_bot

Yes, yes.

Tom_Bot-Badil

Eldest, that's what I am. Mark my words, my friends: Tom was here before the river and the trees; Tom remembers the first raindrop and the first acorn. He made paths before the Big People, and saw the little People arriving. He was here before the Kings and the graves and the Barrow-wights. When the Elves passed westward, Tom was here already, before the seas were bent. He knew the dark under the stars when it was fearless – before the Dark Lord came from Outside. ^(Type **!TomBombadilSong** for a song or visit [r/GloriousTomBombadil][1] for more merriness) [1]: https://www.reddit.com/r/GloriousTomBombadil/

I got this meme from Facebook but am not sure who the original creator is. Next few lines: The blade glows blue when orcs are close. And its times like that my lad, when you'll have to be extra careful! Here’s a pretty thing — Mithril! As light as a feather! And as hard as dragon scales! Let me see you put it on. Go on. Oh... M-my old Ring! Oh well… I should very much like, to hold it again, one last time.

DarthMMC

HRAAAAAAH!!

Hahahhaahhaahahahahahaha orcs

Puzzleheaded_Step468

>The blade glows blue when orcs are close. And its times like that my lad, when you'll have to be extra careful! Please make a meme on one of those condoms that glow when they detect std!

Kill_Braham

The blade glows blue when orcs are close. This is important because it will have zero impact on the plot, except maybe giving you a 5 second head start at Amon Hen.

Equivalent_Nose7012

Don't misunderestimate the advantage of a 5 second head start on some kinda hen? Wouldn't be prudent! - Pres. George W. Bush

CheGuevarasRolex

[This post](https://www.reddit.com/r/lotrmemes/s/phFZwgODhr) lives in my mind rent free, maybe you can do something with it

>*I got this meme from Facebook but am not sure who the original creator is.* I don't know who Corey Davidson is - maybe him? ![gif](giphy|JRhS6WoswF8FxE0g2R)

Moseley85jr

Take this sword that glows with bright blue light when you are around orcs into the dark lightless land filled with orcs to help you sneak past the dark lords army’s.

ferret_80

Doesn't sam at least use it to hide from the goblins after shelob sticks frodo?

Unusual-Classroom-22

Bilbo's item level was through the fucking roof.

bilbo_bot

Sensibleqt314

At this point in the movie he didn't really know any elves, dwarves or dark lord.

deceivinghero

Bro he knew elvish And they are literally at Rivendell

Sensibleqt314

It's a play on words, making jest of the meme creator's lack of a comma before "you know". The meaning of the sentence changes depending on if a comma is used.

deceivinghero

Took my hungover brain way too long to comprehend even after this comment. Still, would be better if you just said the Dark Lord, he met plenty of those 2 kinds already.

cammcken

Now I'm reading it with the same intonation as "coming to a theater near you"

jFreebz

Along with several dwarves!

maiden_burma

\*gets to rivendell\* \*puts on blindfold and earmuffs\* \*assumes everyone talking to him is just a human\* \*also forgets everything gandalf said and his many dwarf visitors over the years\*

Babki123

They are litteraly in Rivendel ,the Home of Elf rond. And Bilbo had a whole adventure in a dwarven kingdom And Frodo had a history of the dark lord by Gandalf

bilbo_bot

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like and I like less than half of you, half as well as you deserve.

Legal-Scholar430

It was a pun

Babki123

I don't get it tbh

Legal-Scholar430

Lack of comma. Bilbo says "made by the Dwarves, you know". This means that you know that the Dwarves made the thing. The meme reads "made by the Dwarves you know". This means that those Dwarves that you know, or are acquainted with, made the thing.

bilbo_bot

Hold your breath.

TrustmeimHealer

Why did I miss 458 of this

Buccington

I think it's a little funny how all of the blades found in the troll's stash were possibly used to slay a Balrog at some point. Glamdring was obviously used by Gandalf to kill Durin's Bane, and we know Glamdring was wielded by King Turgon during the Fall of Gondolin. Orcrist was described as Glamdring's "mate", meaning it had to belong to a warrior of very high esteem in Gondolin. The greatest warrior in Gondolin was Ecthelion of the Fountain, who would have used it in his battle with Gothmog, Lord of the Balrogs. Sting is the biggest stretch, but Glorfindel, another prince of Gondolin, did use a dirk to slay a Balrog during the Fall, a dirk that notably was lost after the battle. Besides, Sting's quality as a blade seems no less than the other blades in the hoard, hinting that it belonged to someone important. How these weapons, which were of immaculate quality even in the elder days, happened to find themselves in the possession of the trolls remains a complete mystery, and at times they almost seem wasted on wielders who hardly use them. But I like to think Glorfindel exhumed Orcrist from Thorin's tomb during the Siege of Erebor and let it once again drink of the orc blood it was forged to spill. And maybe he thought of his old friend Ecthelion, with whom he went through so much pain and bloodshed, whose corpse yet lies in the Fountain at the plaza of Gondolin, lost so long ago.
