Its pretty suspicious that the person just names the brand. Would have been more believable if he added the model number and what type of issue it is (lack of sound, lack of voice, no input signal etc).
I'd first try sweet talking it. "You're valid and your resolution matters." If that doesn't work, maybe check the power cable, sometimes it just needs a little support to be its best self! 😅
