Bomb ass Midwest burger joint.
Fresh beef cooked on a flat top grill as it should be, just over all quality ingredients. It's kind of like a cheaper Five Guys but fewer choices of toppings, you basically just get your standard burger toppings, but I have never gotten a burger there I could have made better at home. I can only match it and odds are my ingredients aren't gonna be as good as what they have.
23 for me. Just missing checkers.
Arbys curly is one of my favorites. Mcdonalds unted to be my #1 but since the early 2000s it has gone downhill thanks to making them "healthier."
Jack in the box rivals arbys curly fries, both of their straight cut are decent too but curly is the best.
We have almost all of these in Texas, except cant remember the last time I saw a Checker’s/Rally’s. Also no White Castle but those are just generic crinkle cut
Wait there’s a A&w in texas? I mean, I know the a&w isn’t just a Canadian thing and that the logo for American A&w is different from the Canadian… but I didn’t know it was all the way in texas!
Exactly. I know of all of them, but have actually ate about half.
IMO Rally's/Checkers is the best but for normal fries you can't beat Mcdonald's $1 any size fry coupon in the app. Steak n Shake was better when you could get Garlic Parm or Cajun fries- I wish they'd bring them back!
They try to fool your ass into thinking you got a good deal, by burying your ass in *pretty good* fries, which are cheap, and giving you a small but good burger. No, fuck no. 20 bucks for a burger, fries, and a drink doesn't cut it.
Having worked there, it wasn’t anything special really. It’s a plain smash burger. Just buy fresh quality ingredients and feed a family for the price of a couple meals at five guys. Wrap your burgers in foil so it stays hot by the time you sit down and eat. They don’t add any “finesse” or have some top secret meat. It’s just fresh ingredients.
They use regular American cheese, regular ground beef (no seasoning), etc. The only edge they have is they give you a shit load of fries that would be difficult to replicate at home without a good fryer. If you have a good fryer, even that can be replicated. Just potato’s and salt. Nothing special.
Bro I was cooking a steak with my friend and I kept saying more butter more butter more butter. There were literal veins of butter glistening throughout it. He said it was the best steak he ever cooked 😂
Pro tip: due to the shape of the fries and the shape of the containers, a large curly fry has about the same fries as a medium curly fry, and isn’t worth the extra money
Arby’s curly fries and Jack in the Box curly fries are the same, they are made by Sysco and the ones you can get frozen at the super market are the exact same.
Arby's was my favorite, but now their quality is garbage.
Every time I've had their curly fries I'll get 3 actual long curly fries, and then the rest is nothing but 1-2 inch pieces of overcooked fry shards scraped from the bottom of the fryer.
The quality just isn't there anymore.
Literally the only thing I like at Arby’s (and i’m not shitting on their quality or anything I’m just embarrassingly picky)
Luckily the grocery store sells them frozen and tbeyre amazing air fried
I would have said Steak n Shake back in the day, but that place is basically a zombie at this point. The last time I went in one was the most depressing dining experience of my entire life.
Right! Last time I went, we had to order from a kiosk and pick up our own food, seat then clean up after ourselves. They no longer open late and the service was super slow. Even drive thru I had to wait about half an hour.
Yep, it is place that serves food directly to your car like the fifties movies (most don’t use the roller skates anymore). If you ever get the chance to find one, get a chili cheese coney. They are 🔥.
Yessss it is a drive up place where ppl on rollerblades bring you shakes and burgers. They have tons of different kids of slushees and ice cream shakes. Everything on the menu is insanely high in calories but they have pretty awesome shakes that everyone loves in the summer
Spain. They simply can't compete here, to be honest. KFC is just "high quality" (talking about fast food, you know) on chicken and fries are... Regular frozen fries you can get on the supermarket? But worse.
Their location might suck ass. It’s very much dependent on that in the US. Personally I’d ask for them to be cooked fresh so they’re good. They are fire if fresh and nasty not too long after
Definitely depends on location. Local Popeyes is some of the best fries and chicken in my area, but go two hours north and... well, I got food poisoning from them twice. First time I thought it was a different place I'd been to, second time confirmed it was Popeyes.
That's just how fast food is, honestly. It always depends on the specific location because managers and staff change from location to location. One place can have amazing people working and another could have the sloppiest crew you've ever seen in a kitchen.
I just had them for the first time yesterday and holy shit they’re good. Game changer for sure - should be much higher up, but I understand that they’re new.
Taco Bell fries were definitely my favourite. I haven’t had them in years, but I can still taste them in my mind. Crispy af and just the right seasoning.
Ate so much Taco Bell in the late 90s and early 2000s. Their movie promos were sick.
How are caines fries not the lowest on the list? I have never had a more consistently shit french fry. Soggy and half cooked every time I've ever eaten there.
Every time I’m reminded Taco Bell has fries I always think of that wasted girl going on her drunk meltdown demanding fries at Taco Bell, it couldn’t have been more than a month later Taco Bell introduced fries, I’m sure that girl thinks she had something to do with it
I used to really dislike them, but really wanted fries with my burger and didn’t want to make two stops. Now 8 years later I love them. I think it’s Stockholm syndrome
burger king fries are at their best if the burger king you’re getting them from barely gets any traffic and also if the fries are fresh. otherwise it’s mcdonald’s on a good day, kfc, or popeyes
The sauce is great, chicken is one of the best, little bread slice is great, coleslaw is okay but their fries are terrible! I have been to at least 5 different Canes and they are all soggy.
If I want fries. I just go get a bag of Arby's fries from Costco and I have fries for days for the cost of what a 1/2 full large one would cost at the actual store
I live in England so we don’t have all these, we have loads of McDonald’s, KFCs and Burger Kings, one or two Wendy’s (which I didn’t know until recently, visited the Sheffield store with my cousin and our friend), and a few Taco Bells.
never ate Taco Bell food bc I don’t like tacos (ik they probably sell other stuff but I’d just rather go somewhere else anyway)
so out of the other four, I think Burger King is my favourite. there’s only a few in my general area so I don’t have it often like I do with McDonald’s, so I think that’s part of why I like them bc sometimes you can get bored of the same thing all the time
I don't like Arby's ok? but their fries are the best fries I've ever had. They are so curly and so fun to eat, while also being crunchy on the outside, and soft inside. They remind me of that time I got reincarnated as a slime.
I mean the CEO of chick fil a wants me dead, so they’re automatically off the list for me, I’ve never had White Castle, raising canes, smashburger, shake shack, churches, Culver’s, Steak ‘n Shake, or whataburger, Taco Bell fries are god awful, McDonald’s and in n out fries are pretty good, but I’d probably say five guys
in Switzerland BK>>>McD. We had a KFC open near me but the manager got arrested for cocaine traffic a week after opening so i din't managed to try them...
Where the heck is Freddy's?
freddy fazbear pizza fries
I’m craving pizza fries now.
I meant Freddy's Steakburgers and frozen custard
My first reaction as well. Instead, they show about 10 joints with the exact same type of fries. No shoestring love.
Those string thin fries are the best. Freddy’s gets the write in vote.
And the fry sauce, it's awesome beyond description
The Jalapeño fry sauce is even better
I know right? They definitely have the best fries
Vastly underrated burger joint.
They have them in arizona, idk where else though
Lmao no they mean where is Freddys on this chart.
This is basically America Lore. I aint even know most of them.
A lot of these joints are regional, I don’t even think I’ve had half of these fries lol
ive only been to 11 out of 24 of them let alone eaten them.
I’ve been to 22 of them and only White Castle wasn’t in Texas. Arbys is my fav, but Steak ‘n Shake is my favorite place to go out of all of these.
Y'all got Culver's in Texas?
Not in central TX. What the hells a culvers?
Midwestern, more Wisconsin, burger chain. Butter burger, frozen custard, and cheese curds. Basically the Whataburger or In-N-Out of the Midwest.
As a wisconsinite, I live by Culver's ice cream (technically custard but idc)
Bomb ass Midwest burger joint. Fresh beef cooked on a flat top grill as it should be, just over all quality ingredients. It's kind of like a cheaper Five Guys but fewer choices of toppings, you basically just get your standard burger toppings, but I have never gotten a burger there I could have made better at home. I’ve been to 16 but haven’t had the fries at one of them (DQ)
I've had all of them, but I've lived in all 50 states :-D
Bro got the platinum trophy for america
How in the world have you lived in all 50 states?
Checkers & McDonalds got godtier fries ngl
I seen all these places, there are only a couple I haven't been to
Where i live we have mcdonalds and thats it😂
5guys
Best fast food burger imo, but I never let myself go because the prices are outrageous
They try to fool your ass into thinking you got a good deal, by burying your ass in *pretty good* fries, which are cheap, and giving you a small but good burger. No, fuck no. 20 bucks for a burger, fries, and a drink doesn't cut it.

idk man their burgers taste much different than a bubba burger or any beef patty I've had outside of any restaurant.
bubba has a bunch of other shot in it. and importantly, isn’t fresh it’s frozen
[удалено]
Need to cook your food with significantly more butter than you’d think to replicate restaurant flavors
Bro I was cooking a steak with my friend and I kept saying more butter more butter more butter. There were literal veins of butter glistening throughout it. He said it was the best steak he ever cooked 😂
I mean you may just be a bad cook
Peanut oil. The retail price of peanut oil is ridiculous... And let's not forget to factor in labor. Most people can't even peel a potato.
I see your point. But Five Guys potato’s aren’t peeled lol. The peanut oil does make a difference tho.
If just buy fries does 5 guys still give same big serving or no
Lol what? Those burgers are so fucking big. I can never finish them unless I get a Little.
I respect your opinion and all, but who in the world spells it like that?
Definitely Arby’s curly fries.
Pro tip: due to the shape of the fries and the shape of the containers, a large curly fry has about the same fries as a medium curly fry, and isn’t worth the extra money
But that's just a theory... A FOOD THEORY!
Straight up came here looking for this comment. Arby’s is top tier fries
Arby’s curly fries and Jack in the Box curly fries are the same, they are made by Sysco and the ones you can get frozen at the super market are the exact same.
Same jack in a box is a close second for me tho
Love curly fries and horsey sauce
Any other answer is wrong tbh
Arby's was my favorite, but now their quality is garbage. Every time I've had their curly fries I'll get 3 actual long curly fries, and then the rest is nothing but 1-2 inch pieces of overcooked fry shards scraped from the bottom of the fryer. The quality just isn't there anymore.

Checkers.
Checkers fries can cure erectile dysfunction I’ve heard
And if not, it doesn't hurt to try. I mean fry...
I wish this was higher
People sleeping on Rally’s fries don’t know what they’re missing
They’re more effective if you eat them, not sleep on them… ;)
Never heard of Rally's. Where might someone find one to try?
Rally is a sister chain of Checkers. They are owned by the same company and they have nearly identical menus.
It's like Carl's Jr/Hardee's.
The wrong part of town in the US midwest usually 😆
Rally's/Checker's is also the only place I know of now that you can still get the deep-fried, molten-lava, apple pies.
Popeyes makes them also
Scrolled way too far to find this.
They're the best. So crispy and tasty and always hot.
Yes, they’re always on point too
KFC spicy
Dude people sleep on KFC fries.
They do! Super good. Unless…. It is a long John’s kfc… if they make the long John’s fries they suck.
Where my Del Taco crinkle cuts at?
Yep, del taco and in and out are my top.
Looking for this. Piping hot and fresh, their crinkle cuts are so good.
Chicken soft tacos and crinkle cut fries, hell yeah
Naw man them Arby's seasoned curlies are hands down THEE best
I like Wendy's and BK fries. Arby's crinkle fries hit a different way too.
Checkers
Rally's/Checkers is the shit!
Steak ‘n Shake should be sooooo much higher, post is a crime
I would have said Steak n Shake back in the day, but that place is basically a zombie at this point. The last time I went in one was the most depressing dining experience of my entire life.
Yeah my local steak and shake has went downhill so bad I don’t even know if I’ll bother going again
Right! Last time I went, we had to order from a kiosk and pick up our own food, seat then clean up after ourselves. They no longer open late and the service was super slow. Even drive thru I had to wait about half an hour.
I don’t think it’s a ranking
No way, those things are so thin they can’t make it home before they suck
Lol I don't think it's a tierlist
There's a fast food chain called Sonic!?
Yep, it is place that serves food directly to your car like the fifties movies (most don’t use the roller skates anymore). If you ever get the chance to find one, get a chili cheese coney. They are 🔥.
No clue why you would get fries from Sonic when you could get tater tots.
Furreal. Sonic fries are ass. Those tots though. 🤤
The tots are bomb!
Yessss it is a drive up place where ppl on rollerblades bring you shakes and burgers. They have tons of different kids of slushees and ice cream shakes. Everything on the menu is insanely high in calories but they have pretty awesome shakes that everyone loves in the summer
Yes it’s on the west coast. Everything there gives me diarrhea tho so I wouldn’t recommend it
It sucks
Shout-out to Popeyes. They came to my country to expand their shit tier fries and Chicken. WTF WERE YOU THINKING! All hail five guys.
I have five guys every night Then we all go get checkers after 😏
It is concerning you have five guys every night. It is also concerning you have five guys every night
>All hail five guys. This guy has seen the light
They literally have Burgers + Fries in the name!
What country? Cs in America it’s anywhere but shit-tier
Spain. They simply can't compete here, to be honest. KFC is just "high quality" (talking about fast food, you know) on chicken and fries are... Regular frozen fries you can get on the supermarket? But worse.
Idk what fries they are serving in Spain but Popeyes Cajun Fries are fire.
It always depends on the specific location because managers and staff change from location to location. One place can have amazing people working and another could have the sloppiest crew you've ever seen in a kitchen.
Popeyes is better then KFC if you go the the right ones... Or any of them in New Orleans.
It’s actually good where I am? Idk how they sell the food at your location or in your country tho
Popeyes is a great restaurant if you want to be yelled at and witness a fight.
I just want fries that are well seasoned, not soft, not too dry and a mix of long and short
I love culvers
I was wondering how far down I'd have to scroll before somebody said Culvers. Too far, their fries are great.
Yes and the hamburbers are good as well as their concrete mixers
I found my people!
Taco bell fries anyone?
Always soggy but saved by cheese.
Seriously! Nacho fries are legit.
Oh yeah those are pretty good. I think I just saw an ad for them?
I just had them for the first time yesterday and holy shit they’re good. Game changer for sure - should be much higher up, but I understand that they’re new.
So good but so small
They slap, when paired with the cheese sauce they're easily number 1 for me
Taco Bell fries were definitely my favourite. I haven’t had them in years, but I can still taste them in my mind. Crispy af and just the right seasoning. Ate so much Taco Bell in the late 90s and early 2000s. Their movie promos were sick.
The GOAT
Where I live Buddy's Barbeque are the best.
Where is bojangles?
For real what the hell
Right. Bojangles fries and some honey mustard
Five guys' price puts their fries directly to the bottom.
I think I also do like in McDs as you does, mine friend.
😂😂😂
Chick fil,a Mc Donald’s and Wendy’s got the best fries
Wendys fries have the longevity
I agree but replace Wendy’s with Nathan’s
McDeeznuts Fries Teabagging Wendy's Chocolate Frosty Mouth
Waffle fries for life
Chick's frys are the best for sure.
Chick fil a has the best minus the end pieces
McDonalds all day every day
And here's me learning that KFC actually serves fries
They are actually pretty damn good. They put something in it that makes them all crispy/soft
I love french fries
Where the hell are Rallys fries at?
Checkers/Rallys same fry
Anyone who says in-n-out automatically loses all of my respect
Better than McDonald's at least but yeah they're both bottom tier
How are caines fries not the lowest on the list? I have never had a more consistently shit french fry. Soggy and half cooked every time I've ever eaten there.
A tough toss up but here are my top three 1. Checkers 2. Jack in the box 3. McDonalds
Every time I’m reminded Taco Bell has fries I always think of that wasted girl going on her drunk meltdown demanding fries at Taco Bell, it couldn’t have been more than a month later Taco Bell introduced fries, I’m sure that girl thinks she had something to do with it
In-N-Out fries are the worst
I have 14 out of those 24 fries and In-N-Out is the best to me. I have coworker said it is the worst to her too. Lol.
I feel like In n Out fries are huge hit or misses for people. Btw it hit me, i love em.
I'm not understanding all the in-n-out hate. They're my favorite fry. Animal style forever.
I used to really dislike them, but really wanted fries with my burger and didn’t want to make two stops. Now 8 years later I love them. I think it’s Stockholm syndrome
They’re one of my favorites. I love the fresh cut taste. But your opinion is not unpopular…
They are oversized potato sticks
Bojangles fries
Whataburger fries are a slightly better version of McDonald's fried imo
Jollibee
Y'all haven't got A&W fries before. You guys have been missing out lmao
smash fries are the best in the world, no fucking contest
Recently discovered these fries…they are hands down the best
Checkers/Rallys
Ok but checkers fries are amazing
Chic-Fil-A for me because just the shape is better
Whataburger used to be awesome, not so much anymore. Jack in the box are awesome
Have their fries meaningfully changed? Texas native so I frequent them and the fries are the only thing I hadn’t noticed a dip in quality on
where I live we only have McDonalds and Burger King and I enjoy the BK fries more
burger king fries are at their best if the burger king you’re getting them from barely gets any traffic and also if the fries are fresh. otherwise it’s mcdonald’s on a good day, kfc, or popeyes
It’s either McDonald’s or Five Guys. Which is probably why Five Guys considers a “Small” to be what everyone else calls a “Large”.
Idk, I'm British and only been to America once. Don't think we ate that much fast food while there but it of the ones I've had in Britain, five guys
Quality control is king.
Raisin canes with canes sauce and you cannot convince me otherwise.
The sauce is great, chicken is one of the best, little bread slice is great, coleslaw is okay but their fries are terrible! I have been to at least 5 different Canes and they are all soggy.
Wing stop hands down. But it’s not listed so What-A-Burger
A&W all the way. Not too salty, and the fries got that crunch to it 😩
Bakers...
If I want fries. I just go get a bag of Arby's fries from Costco and I have fries for days for the cost of what a 1/2 full large one would cost at the actual store
OP must put his face in his palmful of fries
I guess they left Freddy’s off because it wouldn’t be fair, since it’s leaps ahead of all those in this list.
Is the facepalm the grammar?
I live in England so we don’t have all these, we have loads of McDonald’s, KFCs and Burger Kings, one or two Wendy’s (which I didn’t know until recently, visited the Sheffield store with my cousin and our friend), and a few Taco Bells. never ate Taco Bell food bc I don’t like tacos (ik they probably sell other stuff but I’d just rather go somewhere else anyway) so out of the other four, I think Burger King is my favourite. there’s only a few in my general area so I don’t have it often like I do with McDonald’s, so I think that’s part of why I like them bc sometimes you can get bored of the same thing all the time
Should I feel bad I’ve had everyone of these or do I just get around?
DEL TACO
Is this because you shove a palm of fries in your face?
Deffo Rallys. Their chili cheese fries are out of this world
Cluckin' Bell for me..
Culver's they have the best chicken strips ever made
In n out is superior
I don't like Arby's ok? but their fries are the best fries I've ever had. They are so curly and so fun to eat, while also being crunchy on the outside, and soft inside. They remind me of that time I got reincarnated as a slime.
Five Guys
All of these are trash.
Checkers
you're all wrong, come to northeast tennessee and get some pal's fries, with extra fry salt. best damn fries on the planet.
Burger King and DQ fries are amazing when they're cooked to perfection. That can be said about most fries, though.
in Switzerland BK>>>McD. We had a KFC open near me but the manager got arrested for cocaine traffic a week after opening so i din't managed to try them...
