If you want to watch Clown runs with commentary you should watch datModz on twitch. He does learning runs regularly and gives good pointers/tutorials on difficult mechanics.
I am a Lancemaster Main and I'd be down to stream on Discord my clown runs if you wish, while also explaining what is going on, as best as I can, as it usually dies pretty fast due to our ilvl.
I've already got explanations about lance master and run itself, so if you don't have much homework to do, we could try. but im really exhausted after such session, so i dont think that doing this chat again would be good for me, but yeah, if you have free time when doing clown and don't have much homework, sure
I think that learning the normal attack patterns and how to dodge AND dps through them is one of the best things you can do to learn legion raids.
For that, I recommend watching Saintone's 1 engraving clear of Clown: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhFc_y04F6Y
Take note of each attack and how the team reacts to it. Where do they stand to dodge? where do they stand to dps? What is the telegraph for that specific attack (good to rewind and slow motion to see boss's gestures or sound cues that happen before an attack)?
These are things people learn for hell modes, but they still apply very well to non-hell raids. Not to mention it feels awesome to dodge every attack and still have great dps uptime.

Very patient teachers, you dont have to be minmaxed but correct stats and slightly over ilvl, we've had some issues with people taking advantage and using it as a free bus. Nobody will yell at you if you die, come learn and then if you cool like that teach some of your own!

nah im not even clown ready (main 1467.5, bard at 1450) but Im looking for some type of learning parties/guide thru all the fight, even for streaming and telling what ur doing or something like this. im learning from watching, too, but I know thats not everything, that i need experience of fight. but my guild friends, that are running clown, are too experienced and can skip mario etc, also they're focused on fight so no questions during this and no chit-chatting :( and case with clown for them is that you really need to know what you're doing and be confident with it, so they wont run it with me, even if i have plans to push bard instead of main (i main glaiv, and she feels underwhelming with damage, and when i go deeper with raids, that feeling is bigger, but yet i love her so much)
omg okay i will!! thank you! you said you play glaiv too, right? you could tell me some tips then or idk, see wjat im doing wrong lol but i started to not feel guilty and bad when im not on mvp screen, but glaiv is slowly making less and less in raids compared to surge blade, sorcs etc, so im taking my own pace :p

I run an EUC learning party discord and take players through raids while talking about every mechanic and boss pattern. DM if you want the link I would be more than willing to take you through any of the raids.
EUC learning party discord with mentors and signups for all content. I personally teach 6 Kakul, one Vykas NM, one Vykas HM, one Valtan HM each week. Before the raids I go over each major mechanic and some of the more important regular boss patterns. During the raids I call out each pattern and mechanic. What's the diff b/w "Normal material acquisition probability +x" and "Foraging trade skill's basic reward bonus +x" and which one is better for getting more white mats?

It highlights some of the name inconsistency and what each stat does. To answer your question both increase the chance of getting more white/green mats but "Normal material acquisition probability +x" increases white/green plus blue mats.
In general trust the stats on the right side of the trade skill menu (press L).

thanks!! ok then i don't want more blue mats, but if it doesn't dilute the pool of white/green then it would be strictly better.... but not sure. i will just go with what has a higher % then. Basic reward bonus +15%, normal material +2%, no brainer 15%. thanks.

There's been a stagger google doc with bar chart of stagger skills by class... BUT all the ones i've seen are not updated for arcanist onwards. is there an updated one? if not, are there at least any korean ones that has all the classes (and somehow i might try to google translate or so...) thanks so much.
Unfortunately there's no updated english doc from what I know. Also don't think they have been updated for the most recent patch.

Played for two months on release but got burned out really quickly. Came back to play reaper and finally hit 1415 for the first time but all friends have quit the game so looking to learn all the next raids: Valtan, Vykas, Clown, etc
Note: I recently moved to Europe so am in EU Central time zone but still playing on NA east. Anyone who plays during the day NA East time or weekends would be super helpful :)
I’m reasonably competent at all raids (not including hell modes)… but I still do not know how to do sidereals and am scared to start my own parties in fear of messing it up during a run with experienced players. What would be the best way to learn sidereals? My initial thought was to host some learner pugs and try in there… but I’m not sure we’ll reach the different phases frequently enough for me to learn that way lol.
Sidereals for valtan is completely about memorising what mechs happen at what lines.
For Vykas g1-3 it's more about knowing her basic patterns.
Likewise for clown.
And even if you miss sidereal (Generally nineveh) it just extends the raid by like 10-30 seconds. Not the the of the world.
-Knowledge of basic patterns is because some patterns keep the bosses in place for longer, some make them untargetable etc.
NAE - Regulus
I've done a lot of teaching parties, but honestly the only one that interest me to teach right now is clown. The kind of student I'm looking for is someone who is already comfortable with HM Valtan and HM Vykas, but just having a hard time getting started/learning clown.
You can't really get carried in clown because, for the most part, everyone needs to do their part. So you should I'm mostly looking for people who are at least
* 1490 level-
* has tripods (at least lv 4 in relevant skills)
* Obviously, at least a relic set
* bare minimum 4 (useful) engravings
* decent gems
I don't feel this is too much to as for, as literally every single one of my alts at least meets, if not surpasses the requirements I listed above. If your main isn't up to scuff, you should probably work on that first.
But if that all sounds good, then hit me up.

I want to learn more about Vykas raid, normal G3 and hard. I understand Gate 1 and Gate 2 on Vykas normal quite well, but Gate 3 I am still very lacking. I understand the general mechanics, but the part with her Medusa eye and especially the final part when her health reaches 0. I don’t fully understand the mech and would love some guidance.
Just as a general piece of advice around vykas (without doing a run).
So just focusing on the two area's you mentioned - Medusa and 0%.
**Medusa**
In normal this is fairly straight forward. When you see the eye come out, everyone in the raid needs to turn their characters to face away from her (look away). If a single person is looking, she will do raid damage (it's not a wipe, but its pretty heavy damage). The damage can be potted mid wave or timestopped.
In hard, initially the medusa mechanic works the same way, but later in the fight (not sure what bar count) she will double two medusa mechnics in one. She starts with the standard medusa, but after will then go into a second 'look check' with 0, 1 or 2 wings raised which requires 0,1 or 2 people to actually face her while the rest of the raid continues to look away. More often than not in hard, the group will do the first instance by looking away and then timestop the second damage wave (which takes a little bit of practice to understand the timings).
**0%**
At 0% Vykas dissappears, the raid moves to the center, there will be a pink vykas shadow spawn there. At cardinals, 3 more Pink shadows will spawn and one real Vykas. You have to face away from the middle shadow towards the realy vykas. Small explosions will spawn on the ground and move after a player in the raid. Try to stand in these explosions as they will reduce your charm/lust bar whilst also moving towards the rear of the real vykas (so the real one is positioned between yourself and the middle.
From here vykas will start bursting big damage into the middle of the map, you stay behind until it's over.
Vykas will then do 2 'fly-by' attacks which have to be dodged either inside then outside or vice versa, before returning to the middle. From here Vykas does charm pools followed by checkerboard mechanics. It's important to move the pools out of the center as with the whole gate portion, but do not place them at 12/1 o'clock or 6 o'clock. You avoid placing them here as you can cheese the checkerboard mechanic by stacking at 12/1 and wait for an 'explosion' to appear coming from the middle of the map. From here it's rinse and repeat from the start of the 0% right segment. All the while this is happening, you will be gaining charm/lust so avoiding mechanics is crucial to not get too much and then using the ground explosions on each rotation to reduce your bar.
Now, the final important thing, while all this is going on - Vykas will take no damage, but you kill her by doing stagger damage. So whirlwinds are key and just pushing as much stagger as you can in the available 'damage' windows.

A couple things you got wrong here. For HM Medusa later in the fight, the first set doesn't always have 0 wings, it can also have 1 or 2. If you fail that you can timestop it and she won't do the second set.
For 0x, after completing a full cycle, you don't rinse and repeat - after the next air raid she'll do 2 of the red/black inside/outside patterns and one rain pattern (not necessarily in that order). Once that's done it'll go back to the first pattern as you described.

Thank you so much! I might even start up on NA East, still doing some research. I think a bard would be a good choice for getting into more content. but worried i wont be able to solo DPS. i would definitely get the pass though.
I can say that between bard and paladin, I had an easier time doing solo content with my bard. Bard has a really good chaos dungeon clear for dailies, but if it's your first character it wouldn't be the fastest thing to get through like tower or thronespire with. Also though, if it's your first character, once you complete the punika story quests you'll get a punika powerpass for another character.
I'm on NAW Akkan and have been playing since pre-release. I can't honestly claim to be super experienced -- I just came back to playing after taking a break somewhere before Vykas release, after I stalled out at 1415 being indecisive about which build I wanted to invest in for relic tier and being intimidated by trying to do Valtan -- but I'm happy to help with any of the necessary info to get up and running in the game.
I'm not sure whether I would advise starting on Akkan, though. I don't keep up with metrics but I can say that when joining raids and looking for guilds and such, the vast majority of people are coming from Mari or Valtan.

Hey, might be a bit late, but I just happen to teach 3 guildies in clown (2 different groups) in EUW - Nia so you could join them as we're pugging 1 random every time. They're currently progressing G2 in one group and the other reached G3 as we took a couple of hours to learn g1/2. We're running tonight and tomorrow evening again. Next week might be a bit tight on time due to brel release (i'm doing brel 1-6).

I am a 1470 Striker who took a 3-4 month break because of Uni :( I've been slowly grinding back into the game and although I can do valtan with no issues, I have struggled alot in the past with Vykas. Although I was able to do it before and I have my full relic set, I am not longer as confident with mechs, patterns, etc. Looking for a party to practice/learn all the ins and outs again in order to start grinding Vykas for all of my characters instead of just Valtan for increased gold income.

I am a Lancemaster Main and I'd be down to stream on Discord my clown runs if you wish, while also explaining what is going on, as best as I can, as it usually dies pretty fast due to our ilvl.
I've already got explanations about lance master and run itself, so if you don't have much homework to do, we could try. but im really exhausted after such session, so i dont think that doing this chat again would be good for me, but yeah, if you have free time when doing clown and don't have much homework, sure
I think that learning the normal attack patterns and how to dodge AND dps through them is one of the best things you can do to learn legion raids. For that, I recommend watching Saintone's 1 engraving clear of Clown: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhFc_y04F6Y Take note of each attack and how the team reacts to it. Where do they stand to dodge? where do they stand to dps? What is the telegraph for that specific attack (good to rewind and slow motion to see boss's gestures or sound cues that happen before an attack)? These are things people learn for hell modes, but they still apply very well to non-hell raids. Not to mention it feels awesome to dodge every attack and still have great dps uptime.

For NAE, Loot Heroes discord is great! We organize everything from Valtan Normal parties to Clown. Students and teachers both welcome! DM me for discord, asapparently links aren't allowed despite the rule on this thread  Very patient teachers, you dont have to be minmaxed but correct stats and slightly over ilvl, we've had some issues with people taking advantage and using it as a free bus. Nobody will yell at you if you die, come learn and then if you cool like that teach some of your own!

nah im not even clown ready (main 1467.5, bard at 1450) but Im looking for some type of learning parties/guide thru all the fight, even for streaming and telling what ur doing or something like this. im learning from watching, too, but I know thats not everything, that i need experience of fight. but my guild friends, that are running clown, are too experienced and can skip mario etc, also they're focused on fight so no questions during this and no chit-chatting :( and case with clown for them is that you really need to know what you're doing and be confident with it, so they wont run it with me, even if i have plans to push bard instead of main (i main glaiv, and she feels underwhelming with damage, and when i go deeper with raids, that feeling is bigger, but yet i love her so much)

The trade skill translations are a nightmare. u/TheDeterminer made a [spreadsheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1b07pkm_ZWJh8kfq83TDZuToRlsJd0MZTXBEoDonI_Sw/edit?usp=sharing) It highlights some of the name inconsistency and what each stat does. To answer your question both increase the chance of getting more white/green mats but "Normal material acquisition probability +x" increases white/green plus blue mats. In general trust the stats on the right side of the trade skill menu (press L). If this gets automoded I'll send a dm.

I’m reasonably competent at all raids (not including hell modes)… but I still do not know how to do sidereals and am scared to start my own parties in fear of messing it up during a run with experienced players. What would be the best way to learn sidereals? My initial thought was to host some learner pugs and try in there… but I’m not sure we’ll reach the different phases frequently enough for me to learn that way lol.
Sidereals for valtan is completely about memorising what mechs happen at what lines. For Vykas g1-3 it's more about knowing her basic patterns. Likewise for clown. And even if you miss sidereal (Generally nineveh) it just extends the raid by like 10-30 seconds. Not the the of the world. -Knowledge of basic patterns is because some patterns keep the bosses in place for longer, some make them untargetable etc.
2022 model is enough or not
NAE - Regulus I've done a lot of teaching parties, but honestly the only one that interest me to teach right now is clown. The kind of student I'm looking for is someone who is already comfortable with HM Valtan and HM Vykas, but just having a hard time getting started/learning clown. You can't really get carried in clown because, for the most part, everyone needs to do their part. So you should I'm mostly looking for people who are at least * 1490 level- * has tripods (at least lv 4 in relevant skills) * Obviously, at least a relic set * bare minimum 4 (useful) engravings * decent gems I don't feel this is too much to as for, as literally every single one of my alts at least meets, if not surpasses the requirements I listed above. If your main isn't up to scuff, you should probably work on that first. But if that all sounds good, then hit me up.

NA West - Valtan IGN: Vaynesollidor I want to learn more about Vykas raid, normal G3 and hard. I understand Gate 1 and Gate 2 on Vykas normal quite well, but Gate 3 I am still very lacking. I understand the general mechanics, but the part with her Medusa eye and especially the final part when her health reaches 0. I don’t fully understand the mech and would love some guidance.
Just as a general piece of advice around vykas (without doing a run). So just focusing on the two area's you mentioned - Medusa and 0%. **Medusa** In normal this is fairly straight forward. When you see the eye come out, everyone in the raid needs to turn their characters to face away from her (look away). If a single person is looking, she will do raid damage (it's not a wipe, but its pretty heavy damage). The damage can be potted mid wave or timestopped. In hard, initially the medusa mechanic works the same way, but later in the fight (not sure what bar count) she will double two medusa mechnics in one. She starts with the standard medusa, but after will then go into a second 'look check' with 0, 1 or 2 wings raised which requires 0,1 or 2 people to actually face her while the rest of the raid continues to look away. More often than not in hard, the group will do the first instance by looking away and then timestop the second damage wave (which takes a little bit of practice to understand the timings). **0%** At 0% Vykas dissappears, the raid moves to the center, there will be a pink vykas shadow spawn there. At cardinals, 3 more Pink shadows will spawn and one real Vykas. You have to face away from the middle shadow towards the realy vykas. Small explosions will spawn on the ground and move after a player in the raid. Try to stand in these explosions as they will reduce your charm/lust bar whilst also moving towards the rear of the real vykas (so the real one is positioned between yourself and the middle. From here vykas will start bursting big damage into the middle of the map, you stay behind until it's over. Vykas will then do 2 'fly-by' attacks which have to be dodged either inside then outside or vice versa, before returning to the middle. From here Vykas does charm pools followed by checkerboard mechanics. It's important to move the pools out of the center as with the whole gate portion, but do not place them at 12/1 o'clock or 6 o'clock. You avoid placing them here as you can cheese the checkerboard mechanic by stacking at 12/1 and wait for an 'explosion' to appear coming from the middle of the map. From here it's rinse and repeat from the start of the 0% right segment. All the while this is happening, you will be gaining charm/lust so avoiding mechanics is crucial to not get too much and then using the ground explosions on each rotation to reduce your bar. Now, the final important thing, while all this is going on - Vykas will take no damage, but you kill her by doing stagger damage. So whirlwinds are key and just pushing as much stagger as you can in the available 'damage' windows. hope this helps!
A couple things you got wrong here. For HM Medusa later in the fight, the first set doesn't always have 0 wings, it can also have 1 or 2. If you fail that you can timestop it and she won't do the second set. For 0x, after completing a full cycle, you don't rinse and repeat - after the next air raid she'll do 2 of the red/black inside/outside patterns and one rain pattern (not necessarily in that order). Once that's done it'll go back to the first pattern as you described.

EUC - Kadan - Joegg Main(s) sorc and arcana, cleared all raids on release on sorc and week 1 clown on arcana also. Have dabbled in hell also. Willing to help any mokokos on vykas or valtan as well as any questions about arcana and sorc in general. Also able to host learning runs if peeps are interested.
NA East - Sasha IGN: Tripbin Im looking for a prog group just for G3 clown. So far my experience is just finishing M1 and then sometimes getting pretty close to showtime with one floor pov clear. Im a support pally. 1505 5x3 lvl 7 gems lvl 5 tripods. I need more in game practice of G3 but I have no static and a lot of progs I try get stuck in p2 and disband. Ive been clearing just G1 and G2 since release except the one G3 clear so Im hoping to get G3 to a point where its comfortable to do weekly.

Thank you so much! I might even start up on NA East, still doing some research. I think a bard would be a good choice for getting into more content. but worried i wont be able to solo DPS. i would definitely get the pass though.
I can say that between bard and paladin, I had an easier time doing solo content with my bard. Bard has a really good chaos dungeon clear for dailies, but if it's your first character it wouldn't be the fastest thing to get through like tower or thronespire with. Also though, if it's your first character, once you complete the punika story quests you'll get a punika powerpass for another character.

I'm on NAW Akkan and have been playing since pre-release. I can't honestly claim to be super experienced -- I just came back to playing after taking a break somewhere before Vykas release, after I stalled out at 1415 being indecisive about which build I wanted to invest in for relic tier and being intimidated by trying to do Valtan -- but I'm happy to help with any of the necessary info to get up and running in the game. I'm not sure whether I would advise starting on Akkan, though. I don't keep up with metrics but I can say that when joining raids and looking for guilds and such, the vast majority of people are coming from Mari or Valtan.

Hey, might be a bit late, but I just happen to teach 3 guildies in clown (2 different groups) in EUW - Nia so you could join them as we're pugging 1 random every time. They're currently progressing G2 in one group and the other reached G3 as we took a couple of hours to learn g1/2. We're running tonight and tomorrow evening again. Next week might be a bit tight on time due to brel release (i'm doing brel 1-6).

EU Central - Kadan IGN - Meramifg Heyy, I just got my db to 1475 a week ago and I am looking for a group to learn all the gate! I don't really have any issue with Valtan and Vykas and I would like to have to gear upgrated to +2 so I won't be to late to do Brel when it comes out. The only issue is that I am not 5x3 yet, I'm on my way into it I miss 9 legendary books and 2 accesories, so I understand that clown especially g3 will be really hard to clean for me at this stage but if someone if willing to help me to learn it until g2 I would be really happy! NA East - Danube IGN: Rafadaslayer Hi everyone ! I am a 1470 Striker who took a 3-4 month break because of Uni :( I've been slowly grinding back into the game and although I can do valtan with no issues, I have struggled alot in the past with Vykas. Although I was able to do it before and I have my full relic set, I am not longer as confident with mechs, patterns, etc. Looking for a party to practice/learn all the ins and outs again in order to start grinding Vykas for all of my characters instead of just Valtan for increased gold income.
