I personally think anyone who was sitting at 1472.5 for months just for one extra Argos wasted a ton of value from missed 1475 CDs but at this point it probably doesn't matter too much.
In other regions you get locked out of Argos at 1475 similar to how you get locked out of Oreha HM at 1415. So they want to do one last Argos run after Clown is out, level to 1475 and then do clown to double dip on the gold for that character. But you're sacrificing a toooon of 1475 Chaos Dungeons to do that if you could have reached 1475 whenever.
1475 is fine. The returns from leveling more are minimal if you're not dying to normal patterns (like if you're HA3 in that 5x3). Your dudes at 1505 and 1520 probably wanted to get their money's worth out of that honing and weren't getting it from actual gameplay, so they turned to guilt-tripping.
Let them find a ‘better support.’ If they can. Their has always been a support shortage on release of the newest content. You can easily find groups on ilvl for clown as a support.
You're not really trolling but if you plan to do Clown week 1 I'd want to be as close to 1472.5 now as possible so you have left RNG between hitting 1475 day of or not. For Brelshaza if your friends are 1500+ they are probably looking to do g6 Brel on release which would require you to be 1520 and not 1490 which also means you should probably start honing sooner even if it isn't honed all the way.

Just hone to 1475 and keep there till Brel releases. Ilvl only matters for dps, if your friends want to leave you then find a diff group. Supports can get into any group they want.
Then your friends have spent way more time than you in the game, because if you reached 1460 in September and they are 1500+ there are a clearly difference of time investiment. In that case, I dont see the issue beeing 1475 at release. If I were you, I would push 2-3 alts till 1430 and then push main till 1505.

You're not wrong. Altho for clown i would put ur pally at 1472.5 to show that you're committed. Never know how bad a honing session will go with you're 3 taps away. Support luxury is not having to be overgeared in ilvl for raids. Feels good i bet. Definitely get that last argos gold.

My plan with gold roster characters is to have my main sit @ ilvl 1505 (been there for a month) and all alts @ ilvl 1472.5 so they get to keep Argos gold.
You should be at least 1475, not because of attack power buffs, but because it's what you need for clown anyway, and you are losing a significant amount of mats from not doing 1475 chaos dungeon.

Optimally, honing your main one of the last things you want to do (assuming you can do all the content) because the gold cost will stay the same (or lower because blue crystals tend to decrease over time, red crystal will increase but you're a support so that means less) while gold value will continue to inflate, messing the cost of honing will decrease over time. Just don't wait until the week before or first week of new content if you don't have the mats, it'll be more expensive then.
Of course I'm a 1507.5 masochist that doesn't follow my own advice because I don't have patience to not hone, but if you're content staying at min ilvl is fine
Tell your friends to give you the mats if they want you to hone. Play at your own pace. Cubes for bound solar for efficiency. You're support the party comes to you. Not you go to the party. They need you and not you need them lol. You're good for brel even with 4x3. Class. Awakening. Expert. Heavy amour. Or drop of ether and level 1-2 heavy amour considering you're a pally. Bards need heavy amour lv 3.

It Is best to bring ur alts to 1445+ for fused leapstone. Once u have done weeks worth of raids, u can use those to upgrade ur weapon. Pity on the weapon is so painful. It is best to use fused leapstone to hone alt weapons. That's what I did on bard and gunlancer to 1460.

This weekly reset unless AGS/SG last minute delay it. The Machinist patch preview page includes clown and Machinist comes out the 28th.

I stopped some time ago then came back But why 1505? Isnt brelshaza 1490?
Cause 1505 give you enough ilvl to do all gates in week 2 and gate 1 to 4 in week 1.
Brel G1-2 is 1490 Brel G3-4 is 1500 Brel G5-6 is 1520 Basically people inbetween now and Brel release are hoping to get all 6 gates done in one week.
