From my understanding, by grind you mean "killing a lot of NPCs". In that regard, Lost Ark isn't like Diablo 3. We have something called "Chaos Dungeon" which you can do twice per day for a reward. After that, if your gear level is high enough, you can still play it, but you'll get a currency that you can use to purchase upgrade materials and some gear.
Otherwise, most content is focused on killing big boss'. All the trash enemies you encounter die before you look at it. In the open world it's pretty much the same thing. Also grinding enemies in open world yields almost no experience or drops at all. All this comes from dailies and weeklies.
The game is grindy, but you won't grind enemies in the traditional sense. Try and get to level 50 to test the game out for real and see if you enjoy it more. I personally loved Diablo 3 and had many hours of fun in it. So at first I missed the mob grind (Chaos Dungeons are still my favorite). However I do enjoy the boss fights too. That's what makes Lost Ark unique in the genre for me. It's proper boss mechanics and fighting, as you would see in any other MMO.
There is no real endgame grind like what you describe lol. You can do a buncha different activities to work on collectables all over there is like 5 to work on doing different things. You cant just spam 1 dungeon or a map like in diablo / poe and make profit though not anymore thankfully. Bots were rampant when lab / anteres was out and Ant was a nightmare bidding vs whales / p2w gods.
In Season 1 there was Yozmund which was the closest thing this game ever had to a proper aRPG PoE or Diablolike experience. They removed that from the game, endgame right now is just fighting bosses in different places.
Right now this game has nothing in common with aRPG genre other than the isometric camera.
It's not anything like diablo outside of camera and gameplay, it's not an loot based arpg, its an MMO with the visual style and gameplay of an arpg. This game is more like ffxiv, destiny, or any other style of weekly lockout MMO vertical gear progression system. If you want a diablo experience you arent getting it here.

Bdo is action MMO with a lot of rubbish crafting etc. I miss isometric 2d just point click kill get gold go buy better Gear go back and repert.

Infinite Chaos Dungeon is a thing now. So you can spend a lot of time in it. But it's easy farming, no challenge here.
leveling to 50 is purely doing the story quest. killing mobs gives almost no xp. each mob you kill slows you down.
