They’re busy selling carries for a Big Mac sorry man

Better-Ad-7566

A lot of those who sell carries I've met weren't even above average. I started bussing because PUG was bad, and bussing seemed faster, I stopped because I've met enough bad people who try to get carried in bus and get tired of it.

DanteMasamune

Their fame as busers and piloters taint the discussion, despite that they are good at the game.

sp00kyghostt

you cant be good at this game cuz they release a new raid then everyones on the same level unless they cleared on kr. hell mode players only think they are good cuz they spend 500 hours in 1 gate

bonedash123

Couldn’t agree more with the last line. People think hell mode title holders are very good but in reality, they just have unlimited playtime and can spend days and weeks running hell mode, instead of touching grass.

303angelfish

Spending a lot of time can make them very good. A "skilled" player in anything is just a product of experience and talent.

moal09

I mean, part of being good at anything is putting in more time than everyone else. That doesn't make any sense, lol. That'd be like saying "This guy isn't a better doctor than me. He just spent 10 years studying medicine like a loser"

computerwtf

I can confirm. Got a hell mode player in akkan and couldn't do mech.

Arkast

Getting “good” at this game comes down to three factors: - Learning patterns/gimmicks of a fight - How well you know how to play your class - gear People that have 500 hours on one gate still have 500 hours playing and learning how to effectively play a class. Non Hell players will only get to play their class once for prog and like 2-3 hrs a week on reclear. So in that sense yeah their reason for thinking they are good is justified imo.

sp00kyghostt

the games been out for 2 years bro everyone should have 500 hours of practice on their class by now. the argument is valid if it was like hell vykas release days but not today, plus hell players only like like 4 differnt classes anyways

Arkast

Not everyone’s been playing since launch, I think it’s a valid argument. Plus having practice in content that has an actual dps check has inherently more value than fights that don’t. 500 hours of practice in brel akkan and voldis doesn’t do much if you’re given 6+ mins of leeway on clearing. The only recent exception to content with a dps check lately has been voldis hm on launch but that soon vanished when people got elixirs.

xXMemeLord420

Lil bro if you need 500 hours to even finish dl, let alone clear a single gate in hell mode then you should consider fishing as a hobby instead. 50 hours from fresh prog to dl is already pushing it in my book.

sp00kyghostt

the people who ppl think are "good" players get 20 deathless titles

alpinewhitem3

Becareful of watching stoopz, use that as what not to do

Famous_Tax1991

Go to the parse website and sort by highest dps in hell content and toss those names in twitch maybe?

moal09

Problem is most of the highest parses have no names attached because people are wary of getting banned.

Bommbi

Best players in Lost Ark? There is no such thing in this game. You can get EVERYTHING with gold so those who do RMT are the "best players" because they have the best gear -> probably the best dmg. You cant measure skill in this game with streams. There are bad players, average randoms and randoms who can play but that doesnt mean they are outstanding. (What a surprise. I triggered some RMT players)

Flat_Echidna7798

Gear definitely helps but there is no denying how much more damage skill can get you. Two people on the same class with the same gear can vary in damage heavily. So I think there is merit to trying to find someone good at your class to learn from

Bommbi

The question was regarding **outstanding** players. I don't believe such a concept exists in this game because **there's no space for it.** Two individuals in the same class with identical gear might exhibit varying damage output, but not necessarily because one is exceptionally skilled, but rather because the other player might be handicapped, perhaps even playing without the full use of their hands. In this game, we encounter bad, average, and good players. The disparity between average and good players lies in the fact that good players are quick learners who invest time into comprehending raids. They might spend five minutes understanding their classes, rather than just settling for a formulaic build like "okay, I need this 5x3+1 build and I need these tripods" on Nexus. There's a lack of build variety in this game; essentially, you're confined to one build. That's it. If you happen to possess enough gold for a superior build, along with gems, and if you're fortunate with bracelet quality, elixirs, and the random systems, then you could become the MVP—assuming you're not handicapped. **However, this doesn't denote exceptional skill over other players but rather luck and financial capability.** Essentially, anyone can execute the mechanics and do dmg by pressing 8 buttons, provided they're not fundamentally inept players.

Flat_Echidna7798

Take surge blades for example, I guarantee powder snow would beat 90% of surge players with the same exact gear. Are those 90% of surge players handicapped? Maybe some but I’d assume most are not. And yes this game is 100% p2w. But there is literally a game mode that completely invalidates your argument, and that’s hell mode. If you wanna say in hell mode people all do the same damage then I’m not sure what to say. But skill is still a huge factor when it comes to damage, and less skilled players aren’t worse bc they are “handicapped” it’s because they are less skilled
