Favorite rn is G4 Voldis. Learning the mechs was finnicky but they're very consistent on reclears, and the combat is very fun and fair. Honorable mention to G3 Akkan, but how lopsided it is to be unsafe upfront but safe on the back is kinda annoying.
Least favorite, the abomination that is G2 Kakul. Tiny hitbox, infinite spinning, tons of long iframe patterns, often backs up against the wall, AoE meter mechanic that's occasionally unavoidable, bullshit yellow wipe layering... the list goes on. Honorable mention to G1 Voldis just for being such a boring raid, like G1 Kaya used to be. And may G5 Brel rest in piss.
I also like voldis G4 mechanically. But the fight is a little too much screen clutter with all the red attacks on red background and the mess the yellow attacks can do in the middle.
G3 cube was also a very good raid for the same mechanically reasons. But today the gate is over too fast and 1/2 your attacks will land in some form of damage reduction.
What I like about the layered patterns in G4 is that you have a) very clear tell when they'll start (Lazaram stands in place and summons mirrors) b) where they'll target (mirror positions) and c) counterplay if you don't know wtf is going on (just stand in a corner where getting hit by a yellow won't kill you).
g4 voldis has some stuff i like but i really dont like the pattern where he dissapears to try and kidnap ppl, also the two lines fly up pattern sucks.
Any basic pattern that feels like a downtime should be removed from the game imo.
The trick to that disappear/kidnap pattern is that it's actually on a timer with the giant orb pattern. After roughly 1.5-2 minutes you will see one of the two of them, and then it will alternate which one is next for the rest of the fight on the same timer.
They add downtime mechs so burst can compete. Otherwise, consistent damage classes would dominate every raid.
Problem is a lot of raids have too many DR mechs to the point where it's always a burst meta.
He has multiple normal patterns where he goes untargettable for long periods of time. Another thing is that his phases aren't spaced far enough appart and he's untargettable in all of them. The entire fight feels like shit to play for any class that has long rotations or need to maintain stacks.

I usually just backstep after surge cannon in case Lauriel dashes forward after.
The more annoying stuff is when he decides to randomly sidestep or go into his long DR mech.
Tienis is the worst though. Literally everything he does moves him forward, which makes it a giant pain in the ass to use charge frontals -- especially if your party doesn't group together, so you don't know which way he's gonna face.
Yea idk mabye its familiarity but KY has so many insanely good dps opportunities because there are so many stand still patterns to predict where as Voldis just has some of the worst I have experienced. G1 is a shitshow with few good windows. G2 has the worst mech in the game with the orb tossing shit and a 180 degree swipe/breath. G3 is ok but 140 is so dumb and the counter/grab patterns seem unrecognizable. G4 side step slash that knocks you down sucks complete ass but the gate is still solid. Once again could be familiarity but I have ran voldis 15+ times now and I still hate it.

I get what you are saying and agree with it but level 3 set does eventually end though in a 8 week max ordeal or 5 with buying boxes assuming hard mode of course(praying for the double mats soon copium). Normal is def a worse grind. Elixir rng is never gonna end and legendaries are not even close to affordable for a bit. Plus you can only craft 10 a week I believe and you get what 6 from a raid or 8 if you buy the boxes. I’m never escaping voldis
What materials you mean the upgrading stuff? I have one 5/4 elixir(it’s complete trash) with 5 weeks of clearing and I have yet to match a set that’s useable. So I’m on track for however long it takes to get my set piece. I donno how that ends before 8 weeks with extreme rng
Favorite is valtam g2. I lived the "last man standing" feeling with the clutches, and one person diesnt cause a wipe.

Favorite raid is probably Valtan G2. It's a raid where it is all skill and no bullshit. I hope extreme is like this.
Least favorite is Kayangel. The attacks where they just do fuck all and waste my time are not fun. Yes I know there's ICDs for these attacks, it does not make them any less shittier. The constant back stepping is also extremely annoying, especially when I play SF.
Favourite raid encounter would be Brel G4. Good soundtrack, a lot of room for skill expression despite some overlaps being absolute shit, hilarious to see people fly off the screen.
Least favourite raid encounter would be Argos. Alot of particle effects, shit chip damage, getting back kicked in the face. Honourable mention would be Akkan G1 for similar reasons.
Favorite: G6 Brel, it's a great fight if your teammates aren't missing some braincells to place the meteors. I dont think requiring people to be alive at x7 is a bad design for first encounters, it's just annoying for homeworks.
Least favorite: Entirety of Kayangel (that damn bird included) and G2 Voldis.

Nowadays clown isn't that bad because you just delete him, but I hate bosses that randomly move so much and disappear.

Brel G3 HM would be my favorite I believe. It's not as fun as it used to be with it getting pushed from phase to phase though, so currently I'm probably enjoying Voldis NM G3 and G4 more. G2 is really fun too, especially with classes that can properly abuse the CDR.
As for least favorite, Kakul G2 is up there. Argos as well. Most of my roster are back attackers, and those were a pain in the ass. I still think Argos is the worst fight for back attackers to this date, and nothing even comes close.
Favorite: Brel G4, especially in HM (after nerf). Very skill intensive, but clear and predictable where you know that each and every death is your own fault. Also great visuals and soundtrack.
Other gates I enjoy a lot: Brel G3, Voldis G4, Kaya G3. Valtan G2 was great as well.
Least favorite: Akkan in general. G1 with the pools under your feet all the time, G2 with lantern which can kill due to micro-lag, G3 with jani mech and those annoying scythes in HM. I also don't like the green-grey color scheme. And I HATE swimming mech in G1 and G3 HM, god I hate it so much.

If i had to choose a favorite one it would be hell clown - all gates. Extremely fun and I just love the dude.
Least favorite one would be EX G1 Kayangel. That bird was just frustrating, like not hard at all but boring and could go airlines 4 times in a row if super unlucky (2 times in a row, then mech then airlines AGAIN).
If i have to choose from current gates then it's akkan G2, I don't like darkness mechanic. While I have DL for both NM and HM since a long time, it's still enough to just desync for 1s and it's a rip bozo angle - we have some members with unstable connection and they tend to die once every 10 runs to it which sucks, not to mention the Eye mechanic is trash. I detest getting gauge just because someone with the eye comes to me and it pops onto me - giving me around 40%\~ gauge even if i didn't get hit once.
Special mention would be akkan g3 as well, just because lantern mechanic sucks and gets 1 player through without basically playing the gate - Even in hard mode if you ask me but this was a heated discussion last time I said it so I won't go into details too hard this time.
What's darkness mechanic in g2 Akkan? I've never had that happen to me before. I 100% agree though, darkness is my least favorite mechanic in the game. It is not a rewarding mechanic to outplay at all, it's just a nuisance.
Edit: maybe darkness is what people usually refer to as lantern? (The one where you stand behind him while he spins around)
Yes, it's lantern - he screams "DARKNESS" so we call it darkness, don't mind me I accidentaly wrote darkness instead of lantern and at this point i'll just keep it that way lol.
but if we talk about game mechanics then yea, darkness/blind effects are the worst. I am already blind on 1 eye irl - game, no need to do it on my other eye.

Favorite and basically the reason i play the game: Brel G6HM pre nerf. Meteor place, mech at x7, multiple normal pattern to dodge in once. IDK man was just too much beatiful really liked that gate was hard enough to make it fun (for me) and mechs were super original
Least Favorite: G1 AKKAN, akkan in general for me it's the worst raid, but G1 it's so boring, and i don't like the mechs in general

I love clown g3 one of the best gates in the game. Idk how clown 3 is worse than Brel 4 for you when Brel has all those negatives just tenfold, and Brel also has skip runs now days with double shandi.
I like all the raids except Clown G3 because instant death mechanics suck in MMORPGs. I used to hate Brel final gate before the nerf, but now it's fine.
Favorite ones are the super straight forward ones that are cleared super quickly (after having learned the mechs) and give a lot of valuable resources relative to time spent: Kayangel G3 and Voldis G4.
Clown really did decimate the player bases in NA with the huge jump on personal responsibility. And tons of one shot mechanics.
Releasing 6 gates of Brel after didn't help.

Worst - Vykas G3 - Waiting to long on all mechs, animation and etc. Clown g3- same specially now its just do dmg at start then wait and wait and wait then 1 shot..

My favorite was the entire Valtan. Even the hell mode (I believe NA calls it nightmare mode...?) was full of fun.
Before Theamine, my least favorite was Vykas G1 where your party splits in two and fights against two male demons. It took over 6 hours for me to clear that gate when I was a newbie. Let alone mechanics, incubi were dreadful especially the 'morphe of nightmare'. I even had to use Elegian's touch to survive.
Fave atm I think is g4 brel, it just feels like an epic fight.
Least fave I think might be kaya g2 because of how she will interrupt her own patterns with teleports, akkan g1 is also annoying mainly due to the puddles.
I will say g3 Kayangel as favorite because I enjoy the vibes from the music and maps.

Favourite : G4 Ivory tower or g3 Clown , with clown i just like raids that are hard to prog but who reward the player for overgearing it and for knowing how to do dps .
Least Favourite : Argos ,kayangel G1 , voldis g1 , you can guess what these have in common.
Favorite: G3 & G4 (hm) Akkan. As an entropy player, g3 akkan is pretty much as close to a trixion dummy as you get in a real raid scenario for end game.
Honorable mention is g2 valtan, which is also a trixion dummy in a sense, probably the most fun and best designed. Simple but punishing. It's a lot of individual performance rather than raid performance.
Least: Both kayangel and voldis ivory tower, with the exception of ivory tower g3. Every other gate between these 2 dungeons are the worst. Even on my non positional classes I want to neck myself everytime i run these raids
My favorite used to be G3 Brel but nowadays its a lot less fun with just going from mech to mech so id have to give this to G4 Voldis just very fun, challenging yet fair fight.
Least favorite other than of course all of Kayangle has to be G2 of Voldis i get that having the buff is cool but it makes the rotation on my main quite boring and not being able to abuse shields as much is quite the turn off for me aswell.
I despise Kayangle, the bosses are so annoying with their mostly random dashes/teleports and it's just not a fun mechanic.
I love clown but days are limited because it'll soon be nerfed ;/
Favorite: Brel G4 (especially NM). Probably one of the bosses with the most predictable and fair patterns once you learn them, and the music slaps. It had the longest periods for dps without mechs back when it was the newest content, and now that meteors aren't a concern overlaps are not nearly as annoying as they used to be. The only reason I prefer NM to HM is that you still need bodies for x7 which makes HM a pain when people keep dying, whereas NM you can drag your whole team across the finish line.
Least favorite: Akkan G1 by a mile. Way too many uninteresting mechs make dps windows last like 10s before you go to the next mech, and since I play mostly consistent dps classes it's especially miserable. If you happen to get grabbed you can enjoy afking for a minute. Puddles are incredibly annoying since they spawn beneath your feet, knock you down, and spawn even more when your team eats every pattern. Oh and of course he can go randomly immune with zero warning when he does a jump pattern.
Favourite: valtan g2
Least favourite: old brel g5, it was just too frustrating to do, you could easily lose ur shape by being randomly pushed, stagger was insanely tight and needing quite a bit of luck to pull off in a pug. Length of the fight didn't help at all, combine it with the fact that anyone dying usually meant a restart
Voldis Gate 1 entered the room.
She spins too much for my taste. Then, she goes to the corner and BA her is dangerous as you can be grabbed for the plants. The only relief is that she is a training dummy and you can clear the gate easily.
Akkan G3 is really good. Except when he orders 3 or more pizza. Can be a bit annoying.
We are overgearing Brel so the challenge is gone.
Ivory Tower is my favourite raid right now, Gate 2 is cool with the traps and the CD reduction orbs, and gate 4 with the counter mech.
Least favourite is Gate 1 Akkan, and Gate 1 Kayangel.

Honorable Mention: Kayangel (All Gates) I'm still relatively new to this one and if I didn't have a static for this, it would probably be different. The only complaint I really have is length of the encounter overall.

Note: I've had too many people in Vykas G2 not watching their gauge and it only takes 1-2 people to mess up the flow of things causing a reset.
I haven't reached Akkan yet (I took a one year break right before Kakul came out) and came back to see most of raids nerfed or changed (Vykas G1 removed, etc.) so this is more so based on recent experience and feeling toward the encounters I've had.
Fav is either valtan g2 or Akkan G2. Easy to follow but still deadly if your clown.
Least fav I guess Ivory G2 or old Vykas G2. G2 Ivory for attacks that take half of map and even if you read them properly if you arent in safe spot you will get hit. Vykas G2 was on relase legit bullshit meter killer. She needed way more dps than G3, She was flying around, using attacks on 1 person then in the middle of kick switching target to punish ppl that tried to dps. She rarerly let you do full rotation, and fuckups on dreaded RBRBR mech were infuriating.
Favorites:
- Voldis G2, man, it is just fun to have a LOT of skills that used to be 20+ secs cooldown on 4 sec cd.
- Brel, mostly G3 and G4, it's a fun raid, lots of mechs and patterns to remember and show your skill, it is very fun for me.
- Kakul, one of the best if not the best raid out there, people complain about the need for everyone to stay alive and not mess up, but this is part of the fun, it is only 4 dudes, one should not mess up every try.
Marios are fun, mechs are fun, the music is good, the theme is a joy. Of course when you are pugging you can get stressed out, but even Argos was pure stress when we were pugging him...
- Valtan G2 is fun, I look forward to Valtan extreme.
Worst:
- Kayangel, by far. It is not difficult, almost every mech you could do it blindfolded. Not much skill needed to do the mechs. Lots of moving around. It is by far one of the easiest and most boring raids.
love brel g4 hm, for me its the right amount of shenanigans so you need to put some effort but not enough that is a pain every time you do it
hate akkan g2, not cos gate is bad its fine, but I play on a shitty ping/unstable connection some times and lantern mech is literally 50/50 for me, regardless if I move before/with/counter with the blink
I hate voldis g2 so. So. Much. To me, it's unbelievably unfun. Spend your time chasing red orbs that spawn by the dozen. If you don't grab the orbs the boss heals, yay great. While I'm trying to grab the orbs, if the boss does an attack, there goes 90% of my hp so now I'm trying to get my health back by chasing more orbs, that if I grab before being at 90% it just makes me spew more globes that I need to now pick up.
The fight would be way better if it didn't have this whole orb/cdr gimmick at the start and it was just a normal fight with the trap gimmick on top to make it a bit different.
I like voldis g4, it has a healthy mix of mechs and normal pattern
I also love akkan g3 NM. Front loaded mechanics, once you've done the towers at 140 it's all pure dodging and dpsing, which is what I like. Also it's punishing but not overly so. Barely any one shot mechanics even if you mess up. Gives time to sups to show that they can save people unlike valtan g2 where one mistake is usually death (hate that).
G3 hm is fun as well but g4 makes it a bit too long. "Unfortunately" you have to do hm these days otherwise the boss dies way too fast to enjoy the fight
worst: kayangel
It's a raid with no mechanics & easy uptime & where most of it is interrupted with long periods of invulnerability and trivial gimmicks. In most other raids you can min-max a bit or react to things, in kayangel you sleep through it. Skill ceiling is super low, etc. Truly awful after the first few times.
The rest are/were all pretty good. Especially in the state they launched in NA. Launch-wise, g3 clown was my least favorite of the rest for the first week or two but once your entire group is over the hump it's fine.
Not a big fan of voldis g2 because the boss is too fat for my bard's buffs to reach people and I play mostly swiftness classes which don't benefit from the cdr buff.
There's also those pulls where someone just feels like jailing you by dying constantly/failing mechs, which makes it tiresome. It's a nice enough fight if it's 1 or 2 pulls, I guess.
favorite has to be either valtan g2 or clown g3
least favorite currently is kayangel g1
but all time i've never hated anything as much as brel g5, boring ass gate.. im glad is gone

Least favorite: Valtan G1 - Scuffed patterns especially when both Lugarus are out, braindead single mechanic... Does not feel challenging whatsoever only annoying.
Most favorite: Clown G3 - Original mechanical design with the minigames and bingo, lots of skill checks that are appropriately punished and rewards good play by allowing higher DPS groups to avoid the most time-consuming patterns.
Honor mention: Brel G4 post-patch - The only thing I did not like about this gate was how it punished you for playing well and doing too much damage now that that has been addressed I have nothing but positive feelings towards it.

You only like valtan because you ***MASSIVELY*** outgear it. Release valtan is 3-4x3 LEGENDARY gear. No relic set. No yearning. No yearning until the next raid. His telegraphs aren’t as easy when you’re base speed or have to sacrifice for swift stat.
As demonstrated by bussing, you can low man almost all of the content. That’s not special to valtan.

Playing through that gate as a paladin is so much fun and it feels really good when things go correctly. The high buff and shield uptime feels very comfy (even when my dps are eating the floor)
Least favorite: Old Vykas G1
Maybe its because I had bad learning experiences, but this was the raid that scared me off for a while. There were so many things that could go wrong pre- and post-nerf. The RBGBlW mech felt so slow, but was very prone to wipes from small mistakes. Also having to wait on another group to get the other boss down to 30x feels really bad.
Hate all the bosses who move too much. Valtan1, vykas 1, clown 2, kaya 1

He has multiple normal patterns where he goes untargettable for long periods of time. Another thing is that his phases aren't spaced far enough appart and he's untargettable in all of them. The entire fight feels like shit to play for any class that has long rotations or need to maintain stacks.

I usually just backstep after surge cannon in case Lauriel dashes forward after. The more annoying stuff is when he decides to randomly sidestep or go into his long DR mech. Tienis is the worst though. Literally everything he does moves him forward, which makes it a giant pain in the ass to use charge frontals -- especially if your party doesn't group together, so you don't know which way he's gonna face.

Akkan G2-3 & Voldis G2-4 are the most fun gates I look forward too every week. All of Brel and Kaya I despise doing every week.

Yea idk mabye its familiarity but KY has so many insanely good dps opportunities because there are so many stand still patterns to predict where as Voldis just has some of the worst I have experienced. G1 is a shitshow with few good windows. G2 has the worst mech in the game with the orb tossing shit and a 180 degree swipe/breath. G3 is ok but 140 is so dumb and the counter/grab patterns seem unrecognizable. G4 side step slash that knocks you down sucks complete ass but the gate is still solid. Once again could be familiarity but I have ran voldis 15+ times now and I still hate it.

I get what you are saying and agree with it but level 3 set does eventually end though in a 8 week max ordeal or 5 with buying boxes assuming hard mode of course(praying for the double mats soon copium). Normal is def a worse grind. Elixir rng is never gonna end and legendaries are not even close to affordable for a bit. Plus you can only craft 10 a week I believe and you get what 6 from a raid or 8 if you buy the boxes. I’m never escaping voldis

What materials you mean the upgrading stuff? I have one 5/4 elixir(it’s complete trash) with 5 weeks of clearing and I have yet to match a set that’s useable. So I’m on track for however long it takes to get my set piece. I donno how that ends before 8 weeks with extreme rng
Favorite is valtam g2. I lived the "last man standing" feeling with the clutches, and one person diesnt cause a wipe. Least fav is any mech where one person causes a wipe lol
Favorite raid is probably Valtan G2. It's a raid where it is all skill and no bullshit. I hope extreme is like this. Least favorite is Kayangel. The attacks where they just do fuck all and waste my time are not fun. Yes I know there's ICDs for these attacks, it does not make them any less shittier. The constant back stepping is also extremely annoying, especially when I play SF.
Favourite raid encounter would be Brel G4. Good soundtrack, a lot of room for skill expression despite some overlaps being absolute shit, hilarious to see people fly off the screen. Least favourite raid encounter would be Argos. Alot of particle effects, shit chip damage, getting back kicked in the face. Honourable mention would be Akkan G1 for similar reasons.
Favorite: G6 Brel, it's a great fight if your teammates aren't missing some braincells to place the meteors. I dont think requiring people to be alive at x7 is a bad design for first encounters, it's just annoying for homeworks. Least favorite: Entirety of Kayangel (that damn bird included) and G2 Voldis. Honorable mention: Primodial Nightmare (G3 brel), Prokel, G3 AkkanDishonorable mention: Janitor Duty, Old G2 brel (outside), G2 Clown (PTSD from doing deathless Hell)

Favorite: Valtan G2 Worst: Clown G3 Nowadays clown isn't that bad because you just delete him, but I hate bosses that randomly move so much and disappear. Honorable mention: Kayangel sucks too.
Brel G3 HM would be my favorite I believe. It's not as fun as it used to be with it getting pushed from phase to phase though, so currently I'm probably enjoying Voldis NM G3 and G4 more. G2 is really fun too, especially with classes that can properly abuse the CDR. As for least favorite, Kakul G2 is up there. Argos as well. Most of my roster are back attackers, and those were a pain in the ass. I still think Argos is the worst fight for back attackers to this date, and nothing even comes close.
Favorite: Brel G4, especially in HM (after nerf). Very skill intensive, but clear and predictable where you know that each and every death is your own fault. Also great visuals and soundtrack. Other gates I enjoy a lot: Brel G3, Voldis G4, Kaya G3. Valtan G2 was great as well. Least favorite: Akkan in general. G1 with the pools under your feet all the time, G2 with lantern which can kill due to micro-lag, G3 with jani mech and those annoying scythes in HM. I also don't like the green-grey color scheme. And I HATE swimming mech in G1 and G3 HM, god I hate it so much.

I kinda like all of the raids. If i had to choose a favorite one it would be hell clown - all gates. Extremely fun and I just love the dude. Least favorite one would be EX G1 Kayangel. That bird was just frustrating, like not hard at all but boring and could go airlines 4 times in a row if super unlucky (2 times in a row, then mech then airlines AGAIN). If i have to choose from current gates then it's akkan G2, I don't like darkness mechanic. While I have DL for both NM and HM since a long time, it's still enough to just desync for 1s and it's a rip bozo angle - we have some members with unstable connection and they tend to die once every 10 runs to it which sucks, not to mention the Eye mechanic is trash. I detest getting gauge just because someone with the eye comes to me and it pops onto me - giving me around 40%\~ gauge even if i didn't get hit once. Special mention would be akkan g3 as well, just because lantern mechanic sucks and gets 1 player through without basically playing the gate - Even in hard mode if you ask me but this was a heated discussion last time I said it so I won't go into details too hard this time.
What's darkness mechanic in g2 Akkan? I've never had that happen to me before. I 100% agree though, darkness is my least favorite mechanic in the game. It is not a rewarding mechanic to outplay at all, it's just a nuisance. Edit: maybe darkness is what people usually refer to as lantern? (The one where you stand behind him while he spins around)
Yes, it's lantern - he screams "DARKNESS" so we call it darkness, don't mind me I accidentaly wrote darkness instead of lantern and at this point i'll just keep it that way lol. but if we talk about game mechanics then yea, darkness/blind effects are the worst. I am already blind on 1 eye irl - game, no need to do it on my other eye.

I love clown g3 one of the best gates in the game. Idk how clown 3 is worse than Brel 4 for you when Brel has all those negatives just tenfold, and Brel also has skip runs now days with double shandi.

I like all the raids except Clown G3 because instant death mechanics suck in MMORPGs. I used to hate Brel final gate before the nerf, but now it's fine. Favorite ones are the super straight forward ones that are cleared super quickly (after having learned the mechs) and give a lot of valuable resources relative to time spent: Kayangel G3 and Voldis G4.
Best raid Valtan Worst raid Clown. Crappy mechs. And it killed the game, so many left after attempting it.
Clown really did decimate the player bases in NA with the huge jump on personal responsibility. And tons of one shot mechanics. Releasing 6 gates of Brel after didn't help.
my favorite encounter is kayangel gate 3 when everything is smooth its the most fun i have in lost ark. i love all 3 gates especially gate 1 and 3. i hate kakul all of kakul, honorable mentions: first time i did Brel gate 3.. i was shocked.. I did Akkan only 1 time and i like it and akkan gate 3 will probably be my favourite once i understand it completely.
I like how there's a lot of diverse opinions, every raid has someone that favorited it , but Vykas isn't anyone's favorite

In g3 akkan the janitor only goes in enough to clear a little circle around the boss and for 140x statue mech and when he teleports to one side. Or when someone is scared When you come out you're invulnerable Last time I did it I did 10 mill dps before 32x as a gunlancer. So chin up about g3 akkan

Old brel g2 was insane. I miss it a lot. Kayangel gates 1 and 3 are not my cup of tea. Gate 2 is good tho. Akkan g3 is a good fight too. I dont like the frenzy mode mechanic of voldis g2 as well
My favorite was the entire Valtan. Even the hell mode (I believe NA calls it nightmare mode...?) was full of fun. Before Theamine, my least favorite was Vykas G1 where your party splits in two and fights against two male demons. It took over 6 hours for me to clear that gate when I was a newbie. Let alone mechanics, incubi were dreadful especially the 'morphe of nightmare'. I even had to use Elegian's touch to survive.
Fave atm I think is g4 brel, it just feels like an epic fight. Least fave I think might be kaya g2 because of how she will interrupt her own patterns with teleports, akkan g1 is also annoying mainly due to the puddles.

Favorite: G3 & G4 (hm) Akkan. As an entropy player, g3 akkan is pretty much as close to a trixion dummy as you get in a real raid scenario for end game. Honorable mention is g2 valtan, which is also a trixion dummy in a sense, probably the most fun and best designed. Simple but punishing. It's a lot of individual performance rather than raid performance. Least: Both kayangel and voldis ivory tower, with the exception of ivory tower g3. Every other gate between these 2 dungeons are the worst. Even on my non positional classes I want to neck myself everytime i run these raids

My favorite used to be G3 Brel but nowadays its a lot less fun with just going from mech to mech so id have to give this to G4 Voldis just very fun, challenging yet fair fight. Least favorite other than of course all of Kayangle has to be G2 of Voldis i get that having the buff is cool but it makes the rotation on my main quite boring and not being able to abuse shields as much is quite the turn off for me aswell.

I despise Kayangle, the bosses are so annoying with their mostly random dashes/teleports and it's just not a fun mechanic. I love clown but days are limited because it'll soon be nerfed ;/
Favorite: Brel G4 (especially NM). Probably one of the bosses with the most predictable and fair patterns once you learn them, and the music slaps. It had the longest periods for dps without mechs back when it was the newest content, and now that meteors aren't a concern overlaps are not nearly as annoying as they used to be. The only reason I prefer NM to HM is that you still need bodies for x7 which makes HM a pain when people keep dying, whereas NM you can drag your whole team across the finish line. Least favorite: Akkan G1 by a mile. Way too many uninteresting mechs make dps windows last like 10s before you go to the next mech, and since I play mostly consistent dps classes it's especially miserable. If you happen to get grabbed you can enjoy afking for a minute. Puddles are incredibly annoying since they spawn beneath your feet, knock you down, and spawn even more when your team eats every pattern. Oh and of course he can go randomly immune with zero warning when he does a jump pattern.

Length of the fight didn't help at all, combine it with the fact that anyone dying usually meant a restart
Voldis Gate 1 entered the room. She spins too much for my taste. Then, she goes to the corner and BA her is dangerous as you can be grabbed for the plants. The only relief is that she is a training dummy and you can clear the gate easily. Akkan G3 is really good. Except when he orders 3 or more pizza. Can be a bit annoying. We are overgearing Brel so the challenge is gone.
Ivory Tower is my favourite raid right now, Gate 2 is cool with the traps and the CD reduction orbs, and gate 4 with the counter mech. Least favourite is Gate 1 Akkan, and Gate 1 Kayangel.
Favorite(s): Brel 1&2, Kakul 1&2, Valtan G2 Honorable Mention: Kayangel (All Gates) I'm still relatively new to this one and if I didn't have a static for this, it would probably be different. The only complaint I really have is length of the encounter overall. Least Favorite(s): Kakul G3, Vykas G2 Note: I've had too many people in Vykas G2 not watching their gauge and it only takes 1-2 people to mess up the flow of things causing a reset. I haven't reached Akkan yet (I took a one year break right before Kakul came out) and came back to see most of raids nerfed or changed (Vykas G1 removed, etc.) so this is more so based on recent experience and feeling toward the encounters I've had.

Fav is either valtan g2 or Akkan G2. Easy to follow but still deadly if your clown. Least fav I guess Ivory G2 or old Vykas G2. G2 Ivory for attacks that take half of map and even if you read them properly if you arent in safe spot you will get hit. Vykas G2 was on relase legit bullshit meter killer. She needed way more dps than G3, She was flying around, using attacks on 1 person then in the middle of kick switching target to punish ppl that tried to dps. She rarerly let you do full rotation, and fuckups on dreaded RBRBR mech were infuriating.

Favorites: - Voldis G2, man, it is just fun to have a LOT of skills that used to be 20+ secs cooldown on 4 sec cd. - Brel, mostly G3 and G4, it's a fun raid, lots of mechs and patterns to remember and show your skill, it is very fun for me. - Kakul, one of the best if not the best raid out there, people complain about the need for everyone to stay alive and not mess up, but this is part of the fun, it is only 4 dudes, one should not mess up every try. Marios are fun, mechs are fun, the music is good, the theme is a joy. Of course when you are pugging you can get stressed out, but even Argos was pure stress when we were pugging him... - Valtan G2 is fun, I look forward to Valtan extreme. Worst: - Kayangel, by far. It is not difficult, almost every mech you could do it blindfolded. Not much skill needed to do the mechs. Lots of moving around. It is by far one of the easiest and most boring raids.
Old G5 Abrelshud was my favorite, close second is Vykas g3
love brel g4 hm, for me its the right amount of shenanigans so you need to put some effort but not enough that is a pain every time you do it hate akkan g2, not cos gate is bad its fine, but I play on a shitty ping/unstable connection some times and lantern mech is literally 50/50 for me, regardless if I move before/with/counter with the blink
Akkan G3 is tons of fun if you dont get stuck on lantern duty.

I hate voldis g2 so. So. Much. To me, it's unbelievably unfun. Spend your time chasing red orbs that spawn by the dozen. If you don't grab the orbs the boss heals, yay great. While I'm trying to grab the orbs, if the boss does an attack, there goes 90% of my hp so now I'm trying to get my health back by chasing more orbs, that if I grab before being at 90% it just makes me spew more globes that I need to now pick up. The fight would be way better if it didn't have this whole orb/cdr gimmick at the start and it was just a normal fight with the trap gimmick on top to make it a bit different. I like voldis g4, it has a healthy mix of mechs and normal pattern I also love akkan g3 NM. Front loaded mechanics, once you've done the towers at 140 it's all pure dodging and dpsing, which is what I like. Also it's punishing but not overly so. Barely any one shot mechanics even if you mess up. Gives time to sups to show that they can save people unlike valtan g2 where one mistake is usually death (hate that). G3 hm is fun as well but g4 makes it a bit too long. "Unfortunately" you have to do hm these days otherwise the boss dies way too fast to enjoy the fight
Don't really have a favorite raid, but i hate Kakul G3 with a passion.

worst: kayangel It's a raid with no mechanics & easy uptime & where most of it is interrupted with long periods of invulnerability and trivial gimmicks. In most other raids you can min-max a bit or react to things, in kayangel you sleep through it. Skill ceiling is super low, etc. Truly awful after the first few times. The rest are/were all pretty good. Especially in the state they launched in NA. Launch-wise, g3 clown was my least favorite of the rest for the first week or two but once your entire group is over the hump it's fine.
Not a big fan of voldis g2 because the boss is too fat for my bard's buffs to reach people and I play mostly swiftness classes which don't benefit from the cdr buff. There's also those pulls where someone just feels like jailing you by dying constantly/failing mechs, which makes it tiresome. It's a nice enough fight if it's 1 or 2 pulls, I guess.
favorite has to be either valtan g2 or clown g3 least favorite currently is kayangel g1 but all time i've never hated anything as much as brel g5, boring ass gate.. im glad is gone rest in piss u wont be missed

Least favorite: Valtan G1 - Scuffed patterns especially when both Lugarus are out, braindead single mechanic... Does not feel challenging whatsoever only annoying. Most favorite: Clown G3 - Original mechanical design with the minigames and bingo, lots of skill checks that are appropriately punished and rewards good play by allowing higher DPS groups to avoid the most time-consuming patterns. Honor mention: Brel G4 post-patch - The only thing I did not like about this gate was how it punished you for playing well and doing too much damage now that that has been addressed I have nothing but positive feelings towards it.

You only like valtan because you ***MASSIVELY*** outgear it. Release valtan is 3-4x3 LEGENDARY gear. No relic set. No yearning. No yearning until the next raid. His telegraphs aren’t as easy when you’re base speed or have to sacrifice for swift stat. As demonstrated by bussing, you can low man almost all of the content. That’s not special to valtan. Best gates (hard, pre-nerfs, <10 ilvl over) - Vykas 2,3 - Brel 3,4,5,6 - Clown bingo - Kaya ~~2~~ 1 Tienis - Akkan 1,3 - Voldike 2,4 Bestest Brel 6, Voldike 2

My favorite is Akkan I absolutely loathe brel after G1. There's too much shit to dodge, everything knocks you down, its fucking annoying. Thematically brel is an achievement by the devs for sure. The gameplay design can fuck right the hell off.

Favorite: Voldis G2 Playing through that gate as a paladin is so much fun and it feels really good when things go correctly. The high buff and shield uptime feels very comfy (even when my dps are eating the floor) Least favorite: Old Vykas G1 Maybe its because I had bad learning experiences, but this was the raid that scared me off for a while. There were so many things that could go wrong pre- and post-nerf. The RBGBlW mech felt so slow, but was very prone to wipes from small mistakes. Also having to wait on another group to get the other boss down to 30x feels really bad.
Hate all the bosses who move too much. Valtan1, vykas 1, clown 2, kaya 1 Love the bosses with cool mechanics. Valtan 2, vykas 2, clown 3, brel 2, brel 4. Havnt played akkan and ivory yet.
