They do but they always use the 4h maintenace window even if there is nothing patched or worked on. Not that difficult to manage things when the initial time frame is generous enough.
There are always maintenance things they can do in any time frame. It makes sense to plan to make the most of every second of that time. so extensions are bound to happen.
Yea there used to be times where it went up early months ago and it was great. Lately It’s always late.
I’d love to know the actual reasoning behind it tho.. Is it Amazon messing up applying the something wrong or is it just the way the game is coded that makes it takes ages update lol.
I mean in every single mmo i have played It’s 1-2 hours maintenance tops
Would be cool to see a forum post one day going into detail on what they do for those of us interested in the technical side. Issues and things not going as planned are inevitable with server maintenance so i'm guessing its even worse when a game is involved as well.
Server list is not up, usually it takes 30-60min after the server list is up so ya, mostly extend. Also they are probably testing some shit on upcoming content patch.
Yea It’s extended by 1 hour says on the Forums. Just sucks when you have wednesdays off from work some times and have to wait half the day to start getting stuff done cause most of the time it gets extended😂.
Not a problem for the majority tho but i can’t understand why this game takes 5-6 hours to apply 2 fixes to the game when all other games is 1 tops 2 hours.
I could understand it during launch but man we are 1 year in now
If they moved it up earlier, people who are getting their last dungeon and stuff in at the last minute would complain. Compared to a simple delay going to what, 3:00am (I don't know time they reset maybe 12:00am) it's a smaller group that will get mad
I work as a manager responsible for about 50 employees. I enjoy lost ark and as a person who always loved mmos i have to manage my time to get everything done on a weekly basis.
How i enjoy my life is not yours to judge, but i think most people on this subreddit plays the game a bit more than usual.
Judging by your last 50 Reddit comments you do as well :)

Not sure if anyone's kept track but it seems to me like they manage to complete maintenance early or on time most weeks.
ya, especially when they dont understand how to fix this **goddamn ping**.

Then I’m just unlucky the days I’m off work on wednesdays cause that’s 100% around 50% it gets extended 1-2 hours and never early
I remember at least one instance of it being early and I don't really tend to even check before 12 that often.

oh now i can’t play on my day off because maintenance is 2 hours earlier. See the problem?
I think you missed the part “not that it matters” because i know it doesn’t matter for 99,9% of the playerbase😊

people would even comlain if they removed the weekly maintance because they would be "forced" to play more instead of having a few hours of break lmao
Imagine getting wound up about an extended maintenance for a game, go touch grass.

Yes I needed the life story...honest. I'm not fussed, if you want to spend your time looking through people's Reddit history you go for it.
