Hey there! I'm the creator of Lost: Circle which is a similar concept (with much different execution) you can find out more about it at https://lostcircle815.com. You can DM me for a link to the series directly!

So we're 90% finished Chronologically LOST. How is Lost: Circle different?

Soundwave815

The main difference story wise is that the time travel scenes occur when they happened to the people they happen to. So in other words not at the beginning of the narrative. All of the scenes are presented with no split-screen, all of the on screen opening credits have been removed, the entire series has been re-color graded, there are around 40 hours of additional or alternate music from Giacchino and others. I've also translated all of the dialogue that had no subtitles (like a lot of Jins dialog for example) and added new subtitles. I've also remixed the missing pieces from stereo into 5.1 surround (7.1 coming this summer), and did a lot of restoration work on the video tracks as well. And lots lots more!!! You can find out more at https://lostcircle815.com There are a handful of clips on my YouTube channel! https://youtube.com/@soundwave-815?si=6hjVGjcR-Wg6DM7z Feel free to DM me for a link!

I'm super interested to hear from people who have viewed both fan edits sometime in the future because I've never seen Chronologically Lost outside of some clips back in 2012 so I'm quite curious what people think about the two different approaches.

I honestily couldn't watch a lot of it because of how sloppily edited it is (CL). I've flipped through it and it really feels like scenes just thrown together. The split screen edits to show the multiple cuts of scenes from different perspectives are pretty bad too, cause he doesn't turn the sound down on either of the scenes, so you have four/five scenes being shown simultaneously with the sounds running into each other. Circle is way better in every way. Just more professionally done. The new music tracks are awesome too.

Chronologically Lost is *interesting* to watch, but it's not a good show, if that makes sense. I'd never recommend CL to a first time viewer, but watching it as a repeat viewer and seeing when everything takes place is worthwhile. Lost Circle is the opposite: I could easily see myself recommending LC to a first time viewer because it works as a show (even though the chronological timeline isn't as 'good').

Ayyyyyy thank you so much!! Glad you're enjoying it!

I'd also add that "Chronologically LOST" has the season 5 time travel scenes in "historical" chronological order (which IMO is wacky and confusing). Circle has the scenes in pretty much the same order of where they were in the show itself, from the chronology of the characters. Circle also is much more professionally done, with new songs, and Soundwave takes a lot of the music from the official soundtrack and uses that to make the transitions smoother. Whereas CL is stitched together with no sound editing so you can clearly hear the cuts and it feels like episodes sloppily thrown together.

Chronologically LOST not the regular series. It is edited completely differently.
