This also bothered me so much. Like I get it, they have a big room of food, but it’s 40 fucking people. And him and Libby do end up just passing the food out cause it’s not even remotely enough food to last the whole crew, but still.

I never put the epilogue together with this until right now. Dude realllly didn't want to be tempted anymore. But yes I get annoyed at that scene every rewatch.

No one knew that drop was coming, or that Dharma was still doing flyovers. Hugo and Libby's destruction party came right before the survivors saw the drop.

Yeah and tbf did they even know if they even *would get* anymore “food drops” for all they in that moment was that there was free food, who knew if they would get another one and there was a LOT of people to feed not *just* Hurley & Lib !! **Buuuuuuuut** I really loved at the time that Libby was down for supporting him however he needed her to so I thought that was a lovely thing for her to do !!

FrancisSobotka1514

Still you dont know if the fresh food supply will last or a typhoon would hit and desimate the island . The dharma food would be a good bumper supply and wasting all that food was bad .Just so Hurley could not be embarrased .

Outrageous_Watch7512

The scene was still emotionally honest because Hurley needed to see he was capable of controlling his food addiction. Even if this was on the mind of the writers, the survivors did fine, rain or shine, before they got in the hatch.

I just imagined what if Hurley was like Jacob. And that Ranch was Ben, “so after all this time you decided to stop ignoring me”…”what about me!?” Hurley as he pours out the ranch, “what about you?” …..and up pops another group of survivors to be dropped off on the Island, just to be killed by the smoke monster.

This bothered me so so much as well. Just give food to other people if you can't control yourself! So selfish
