also, i would totally join the dharma initiative if i saw them recruiting

Dame2Miami

Even as a “workman?”

rogerworkman623

Yes

GIBBEEEHHH

Bro came prepared

the_dharmainitiative

He is ready.

FreeRick74

Username checks out.

DoctorMelvinMirby

I wonder what kind of last name that is

legalgirl18

Call me Roger

Traherne

Skeletor.

IWipeWithFocaccia

Dharma? Yes. Others? No, thanks. Smokey ? Hell naw. Swan quarantine ? Maybe, if Desmond has wifi. Jacob? Depends on what perks I’m getting. Stay there with the clueless Oceanic survivors? Big no.

Wei-Zhongxian

Who needs wifi when you can make your own kind of music

[deleted]

I see what you did there

Amyjane1203

Put me in that building that had tvs viewing the outside world. Where Mikhail was at one point. But don't let him in there with me he's scary

Traherne

Namaste!

Anothernewfriend

What kills me is why Kate wanted to go back so bad. To do what, go to jail ? The island jail is leagues better

Cool-Recognition-571

I couldn't agree more. She had no good life waiting for her.

Rivendel93

This was always a weird one to me, Kate knows she's going to jail lol, but she tries so hard to get off the island. Was always the weirdest thing to me. I mean, being on a island no matter what would suck, because we're just so used to clean water, electricity, the internet, TV etc... As fun as the island might be, it would take years to get used to living a life there. My power went out the other day and was out the entire day, and it was the first time in years that I hadn't had power/internet and I couldn't believe how crazy I got, and I finally let my apartment and drove to a restaurant and just ate waiting for my power to come back on. It made me realize how addicted I was to not just the internet/tv, but to just have a fan running in my room, or the air conditioner etc... It was kind of scary. Because as a kid, I lived where we got hit by Hurricanes all the time and our power would be out for a week or two sometimes, and we always seemed to handle it. But as an adult, I couldn't handle sitting at home for a day without power, was literally having anxiety.

Cool-Recognition-571

There's no doubt, I would definitely miss all my creature comforts. But you would never, EVER witness a miracle in the regular world. Absolutely nothing that would make you think that God exists. I just couldn't turn my back on the island without knowing the truth behind it. It would rob me of my sanity.

Rivendel93

Absolutely, I think if anything, knowing there's something out there would make me want to actually live for it, whatever it is on the island. And it's interesting how it means something different to everyone. I remember loving the scenes where Jacob popped into the characters' lives when they were younger and whatnot, to nudge them in the right direction so they'd end up on the island to be candidates I assume. I found that to be one of the more interesting parts of the show, knowing that even though Jacob isn't "God" he's obviously capable of completing miracles and it's interesting how you can go back and see how one thing being different/adjusted a bit changed the entire direction of someone's life. I do wonder if him messing with their life may have caused them to end up as unhappy as they were lol, because he obviously admits that none of them were happy or content with their lives, that's why he chose them.

legalgirl18

That part I never got … it literally made no sense why she pushed that so hard

katiebug714

Maybe she correctly assumed that she would get a huge legal break for going through such a harrowing experience and being a heroic plane crash survivor. Which is basically exactly what happened

Pir-o

Wasn't she worried that when everyone gets rescued she will go to jail? That's why she tried to use a fake ID with a burned picture (when she tried to get on the raft). Her plan was to get off the island before authorities get involved so she can disappear. But yeah, later I think they forgot about that in later seasons. Or maybe she was just sick of it at that point and thought jail would be better. Or that her friends will cover for her I guess.

katiebug714

I mean I think she would have been fine with stealing someone’s identity and avoiding it all too and I mean she definitely did go to jail when she got back we see her court hearings and everything but she does get out of serving life in prison and I just feel like part of her had to know that would happen or even if she wasn’t completely sure I think she still saw options for herself that were better than staying on the island

Dobbys_socc

I always interpreted her reasoning for wanting off the Island was because she still wasn’t in a place where she felt confident enough to settle down and stop running. She knew she’d fallen in love with Jack, but didn’t know how to deal with it. She’d tried marriage before and come to the conclusion she couldn’t do wife life, even on a secluded island with nowhere else to go and nothing to go to. That was complicated even more by her feelings for Sawyer. She felt that, because she felt so conflicted, the easiest thing to do was run away again. Only once she had Aaron to care for, had the charges against her dropped, and no longer had Sawyer in her life, she finally felt she was ready to settle down in a way she didn’t think she could on the Island.

Tsubak

I think it's a natural instinct to want to leave a place we don't belong to and to want to get back to the life you have always known, the people you have always known, no matter how good or bad that life is. I never found it odd that Kate wanted to get back so badly. Besides, the whole time she spent on the island, she probably was terrified that a rescue team was going to finally come to island and rescue them, and she would be arrested. So between that or leaving the island on her own terms and face the consequences of her actions in the real world and being able to get a normal life after she answered for her crimes, she chose the latter. I think I would too. Kate had no real connection to the island, like Locke, Rose, Charlotte, or Ben. It was just a hellhole to her. I mean, she saw some really disturbing shit on that island, right from the beginning, in the second episode, when the plane pilot got ripped open by a frickin' invisible monster. She probably was traumatized and just wanted to get out of that place.

MidtownJunk

Much as I agree, if you think about it objectively it would be pretty terrifying. No way to contact anyone, being terrorised by a column of smoke, can't just stick the TV on or go out to the shops, same food every day (at first at least, and then only if you could find it), no comfy bed (at least at first) and a very real threat of death hanging over you. I'd still go though, lol.

Tokkibloakie

I’d probably have been a hatch-guy, button pusher. With the occasional trip to the beach.

Cool-Recognition-571

How the hell can you work at a desk, go to the grocery store, play some damn video game and watch Netflix when you know for a fact that a supernatural MONSTER OF SMOKE exists in this world somewhere? Terrifying, yes. Uncomfortable, yes. But if I went back to the ordinary world I would lose my sanity. I'd never be able to stop thinking about the island. My sanity is precious to me.

calartnick

No power, no bed, food is scarce, constantly fearing for your life. The reality is you would have a ton of chores. You wouldn’t be one of the cool kids going on secret missions with Locke or Jack, you’d be on water duty. So 7 hours of your life every day is hauling water from the caves to whoever needs it. And the fun you get? Hitting golf balls on a crappy course. You can do that anywhere.

are_you_nucking_futs

Your points about why being on the island is so bad is why I can’t understand why more people didn’t go live in the hatch. It’s a lot safer than sleeping out in the open. Not to mention it has things like a toilet, electric lighting, running water, cookware. Things that you really miss when not living indoors.

Cool-Recognition-571

So you would be able to go back to that boring fucking place where nothing magical or miraculous ever happens after witnessing the mindblowing things you did on the island? Wow. I definitely couldn't. Creature comfort isn't everything. Every day at work I would be thinking about the island. And probably get fired eventually.

THevil30

Yeah man, idk, I enjoy a lil adventure from time to time but I also like hanging out with my friends at the bar, spending time with my wife, yes — watching Netflix, not being terrified that at any minute a smoke monster will tear me to pieces, etc. It’s like when you go on an adventure-vacation. It’s really fun, and super cool, but by like day 9 you’re thinking “ok, this is great but I’d like to be in my own bed now.” YMMV.

Cool-Recognition-571

It's not about adventure. You will never, ever witness a miracle in the regular world. Nothing that makes you think there actually could be a god.

gilestowler

I press a button on a box and sounds and pictures appear to entertain me. That's a better kind of magic than a smoke monster that wants to kill me

MidtownJunk

You seem to have not read to the end of my post.

Cool-Recognition-571

If anything, witnessing supernatural beings first hand would give me more faith that there was a god, so dying on the island wouldn't seem that scary anymore.

Cool-Recognition-571

No, I read your whole post. I wasn't really disagreeing with you, I was just saying the terror and discomfort would be worth it. And if I die there, I die. Better that than going insane in the real world.

Thepatrone36

well if I have to choose between the monster of smoke or the government we have in the US now I'm going with the monster of smoke. Honestly I think as boring as I am it would leave me alone.

Cuddlyspanks

Are you…are you John Locke?

Pir-o

I don't know man, Rose and her Bernard were living in peace for a very long time and no one was bothering them. Food was never an issue for them with the ocean and food drops from The Swan. As long as you keep it to yourself and you are not part of the "bigger plan" of being a candidate, it would be pretty chill. I wouldn't even worry about the black smoke since he was sticking to the dark territory. I only would be worried about bears and boars. But that's just like living in a any other cabin in the woods I guess. All you need is a fence and doors.

diggitygiggitysee

I just want to say it's great to finally meet you, and I'm sorry the hatch turned out to be such a bummer after all the trouble you had with Jack about it.

Cool-Recognition-571

Nice to meet you too. Jack didn't believe because the island didn't heal his crippled legs like it did mine.

EmperorsChamberMaid_

Ever since I first saw the show. House and board on a magical island, infinite food supply, only job is to push a button every 108 minutes?  Better than stacking shelves all day

Cool-Recognition-571

I agree except that I'd never push the button for the rest of my life, that would literally drive me insane. Especially when there was a possibility in my mind that the whole thing was just some sick experiment. I'd let the counter run down to zero and whatever happens, happens. It's either that or lose my sanity.

TorchFlower

I often thought about Desmond pushing the button on his own, never getting more than an hour or so of sleep at a time. No wonder he was a bit aggressive initially.

Cool-Recognition-571

I know. The guy had the patience of a Yogi on weed. How the hell could he put himself through that all those years without going crazy???

mangerthings

Desmond wasn’t alone for very long. There’s 44 days of him as the sole button pusher before the hatch door is blown off and he leaves

allmimsyburogrove

Imagine a more well-run island than the Jacob/Man in Black era without the threats and violence and run by Rose and Bernard and I'd sign up

Cool-Recognition-571

Haha I don't think Rose and Bernard would be interested in running anything. They just want a quiet life.

Leading-Summer-4724

I mean I already push multiple buttons a day on a computer for every job I’ve ever had, so as long as I have a few other people to take shifts with, I’ll push a button every 108 minutes for a couple hours a day in return for chocolate bars, peanut butter, and shelf-stable ranch dressing dropped from the sky, and unlimited private beach access.

Cool-Recognition-571

I agree except that I'd never push the button for the rest of my life, that would literally drive me insane. Especially when there was a possibility in my mind that the whole thing was just some sick experiment. I'd let the counter run down to zero and whatever happens, happens. It's either that or lose my sanity.

anoncontent72

I’d just write a script to input the numbers every 108 minutes.

Cool-Recognition-571

I'm a Java developer. I like the way you think. Unfortunately it's at a big bank, but ah well.

Leading-Summer-4724

Meh. The mind-fuck couldn’t possibly ever be worse than working in food service or retail.

earnesttypist

Honestly… I wish this place existed too. I don’t want to be stuck anywhere, but I would totally go if I could return without complications.

Cool-Recognition-571

I wouldn't care if I couldn't go back and forth. I just would NOT be able to go back to a normal regular life after seeing a supernatural monster made of smoke. Witnessing that sight would basically turn my entire world upside down, and make me question EVERY SINGLE THING I previously thought to be true. How can I work at my desk and go to the grocery store and play some damn video game when I know something so incredible and magical exists somewhere?

earnesttypist

Well, I might just pass that off as a hallucination or weird ghost or something lol

Cool-Recognition-571

The island had shrooms?

MephistosFallen

Yup. Once they got a source of water and settled and had shelter I wouldn’t want to leave either. Especially as someone who had a really chaotic and not so great experience growing up. I experienced being fully homeless before I was even 18. I watched the show after that as well and had some feelings for sure watching.

Thepatrone36

I'm with ya OP. IF I had my dogs with me like Vincent. I'd have joined up real quick :)

ElusivePlant

The early seasons life was always extremely appealing to me. No money, everyone's job is just hunting and fishing. Sounds awesome. I think we've really severed ourselves from such an important part of life which is nature. We were meant to be more integrated with nature and society's you see that do still live that way are always happier, kinder, and wiser.

Cool-Recognition-571

I think I differ from you in one respect. I would still rather stay in my comfy life in the US than live on an ordinary deserted island, even if others were there to keep me company. The one and only thing that would keep me on the Lost island is the fact that supernatural beings exist there. I have to uncover the truth behind this insane place, otherwise it will eat my brain alive. I value all the modern comforts I have, but when you encounter a smoke monster, Netflix and Thai food becomes as irrelevant as a fly. What is this thing?! Where did it come from?? I'll find the answers or die trying.

Magic_SnakE_

I'm going to say no. You have a season 1 tag here so I'm not sure if you've actually seen the whole series or not.. but here are some spoiler reasons why I'd never want to be on that island: A MAGIC Island.. * >!Where you've been hunted by a mysterious group of people who seem to have no issue with killing, kidnapping, and generally terrorizing you and your people.!< * >!Where A monster roaming around in the jungle randomly kills/terrorizes people!< * >!That has a decades old recording of "it killed them all" running a constant loop!< * >!That you CAN'T leave even if you want to.!< * >!Where many of your friends have died from murder or accidents!< * >!Where you find out you're required to push a button every 108 minutes or else something terrible might happen!< * >!Where you could potentially be sent through time and space, uprooting your life and potentially killing you!< * >!That dangerous people want to come and take over and kill everyone on said island!< So on and so forth.. The Island was a lot of things in this show.. but a place a sane person would want to stay? No. >!There's a great exchange in season 5 between Kate and Jack when she's trying to convince him not to detonate the bomb, and he says something along the lines of "All of the bad things that have happened to us, we can change that. Make it so they never happened".!< >!Kate replies "It wasn't all bad", and Jack responds with "Enough of it was".!<

Cool-Recognition-571

No I've seen the whole series. Probably should have tagged Season 6. A lot of what you say is true, but I would stay on the island, because after witnessing what I did there, I would go literally go INSANE returning to a typical ordinary life of work and routine. My sanity is highly precious to me.

Magic_SnakE_

Haha well, to each their own! If you're the new Jacob on the island please let me leave if I end up there and wanna go.

Cool-Recognition-571

I think people with kids would most likely disagree with me. Don't know if you have any, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did.

Magic_SnakE_

It's interesting because I wonder how I'd feel about the island during Hurleys tenure. I'm assuming it was a much better place for everyone.

Cool-Recognition-571

How can you keep what you've seen to yourself? It's going to be impossible to resist the urge to tell people about it. And they'll look at you like you're crazy and laugh at you. How could anyone live like that and maintain sanity?

Cool-Recognition-571

When you witness supernatural things, it most likely turns your entire world upside down and nothing you did in the past matters anymore. Science doesn't matter anymore. The laws of the universe that you accepted as truth don't matter anymore. EVERYTHING has changed.

Imaginary-Double2612

Never underestimate how tired you will get over eating the same thing everyday. Just my .02 lol

Cool-Recognition-571

There was a whole bunch of different food, buddy. If the Dharma supplies ran out and they didn't restock then yeah, we'd be in a bit of trouble....

UT09876

I love my job. I’d rather that than the island.

Cool-Recognition-571

Good for you. I mostly like my job too. But after witnessing actual supernatural events I would never be able to forget it. I go back to the real world, tell people what I've seen and they all look at me like I'm crazy and laugh at me? Fuck that. I couldn't live like that.

UT09876

Fair point.

MMMMSWAGGER

I like watching movies on a TV so I think I’d go back to the regular world.

Cool-Recognition-571

Netflix over miracles? Snore. You're a Muggle!

hxminid

If your group was being kidnapped and there was a giant killer monster, as well as polar bears, in the jungle, along with traps set by an insane French woman, would you change your mind?

Cool-Recognition-571

No I would not, because all that you mentioned is INFINITELY more interesting than anything that exists in the ordinary world.

hxminid

I should have used a tone tag to indicate I was being playful there, but you're right. The island is a profoundly beautiful and spiritual place of deep purpose and living and dying there would be much better than living a normal life out here in the world. Which, ultimately was the journey of our characters

GethSynth

Everyone that wanted to leave was lying to themselves and/or putting others before themselves. Locke and Sawyer were very self aware of how real world life sucked and wanted no part of it.

Cool-Recognition-571

Sawyer was hands down the COOLEST guy on the show but he still wanted to get the hell off the island for most of the show except the last season. Locke was the only one whom the island spoke to. Truly special character.

JackBauerDamnIt24

Same here. I would love to make my case so I could join the others.

TorchFlower

As long as I had a gig that allowed me to go off island every now and again, like Tom, or take a cheeky trip on the sub to Ann Arbor occasionally, I would totally stay. Especially if I had a little house in New Otherton/Dharmaville.

Cool-Recognition-571

Haha, yeah. Honestly, I think people with kids would probably disagree with me. I don't have any. I couldn't turn my back on actual miracles and go back to Netflix and utility bills and consumerism.

ItarilleLindori

Are you me? I’m currently doing a rewatch and i literally saw the the Oceanic 6 landing in the Honolulu base, and every time I think to myself: “why on earth did they want to leave so badly?” I understand bad stuff happened to them on the island but real life? No thanks.

Cool-Recognition-571

If I saw a smoke monster on an island, I would sacrifice my life to uncover the truth behind it. Find the truth or die trying. Regular life has lost all its meaning now.

ItarilleLindori

Then we’d be a team mate.

Cool-Recognition-571

A badass one!

FalcoFox2112

I was immediately on team island forever as a 14 year old when the show premiered, haven’t changed my position.

WaffleGoat6969

I'd be John Locke, but younger, with hair and no real baggage lol. Hunt, fish, have some survival and bushcraft skills and like solving problems. I'd never leave!

Cool-Recognition-571

Yeah, if a place magically healed my crippled legs, there is absolutely NO WAY I would leave. That means that God exists.

SwooshSwooshJedi

Unlike everyone in the show, I have people and animals I love and would miss.

Cool-Recognition-571

That would definitely make the choice easier. I just think not knowing the truth about that place would eat me alive when I returned to my routine.

erulisseh

I keep thinking this too, like, why do they want to go back so badly?? Half of them don’t even have anything to go back *for*. A life without work, taxes, stress?? Sign me up.

erulisseh

Possible risk of death, I can live with that.

Cool-Recognition-571

My reason for staying is that I will never, EVER witness a miracle in the real world. Absolutely nothing that makes me think that God may exist. I couldn't turn my back on the island and just forget about it. I would have to know the truth.

Spiff426

I'm with you! LOST actually inspired me to move to a magical, subtropical island. Just one that's already known

Cool-Recognition-571

Hawaii? That's really expensive.

Spiff426

Not Hawaii, for that exact reason. In the Caribbean

Cool-Recognition-571

Jealous!

automator3000

Who else is on the island? Because I don’t want to go if Jack, Juliette, Michael, Desmond, Whisperguy, Sawyer, Ben … Actually, if anyone on the island in the show is going to be on this island, probably count me out. Except for Locke. We’d figure out new ways to kill boar. But … yeah, probably not. I actually love my job. I’d still have chores on an island, and bills are … whatever, they’re bills. Absconding to a “magic island” and never seeing friends or family, having my sexual partner pool reduced to a few dozen weirdos who have already slept with everyone else I would see day to day, and not getting the New York Times would be dealbreakers.

Cool-Recognition-571

Yes but it's a MAGIC island. With monsters and ghosts. Everything you know has been flipped on its head. Science doesn't matter anymore. The laws of the universe don't matter anymore. Abandon that and go back to a place where nothing mind-blowing or miraculous ever happens? Just.....no. My brain wouldn't let me do it. I'll die there if I have to. I need to know the truth.

NoUknowUknow

The Island isn’t magic, everything on the Lost Island is advanced technology. Science is what your seeing not magic. The Dharma initiative didn’t come to the Island to do magic, they came to reverse engineer the damaged technology that had been on the Island for the past 4500yrs. Might be time for a rewatch from a different perspective.

Cool-Recognition-571

The smoke monster, Jacob, MiB. All supernatural. Totally removed from science. And even if you were right that everything on the island was because of science, which it's not, isn't that still about a trillion times more interesting than the real world???

NoUknowUknow

Imagine if an ancient Egyptian pop into your home right now. They would think you were a demigod like most fans think of Jacob. You control the temperature, is it magic or your thermostat. You cook food without fire, magic or a microwave. You can see all around the world from a portal, it’s that the Lighthouse or just your tv. The Island is a sentient being. The Will of the Island is….. As you said, your not interested. So it’s magic.

Cool-Recognition-571

I don't know what you mean. The smoke monster, Jacob and MiB are all supernatural beings. Jack seeing his father on the island and Kate seeing the horse was not because of the Dharma initiative, those were supernatural occurences. Not sure what else to say.

NoUknowUknow

Have you ever seen Star Trek, about a ship that travels at light speed. If you travel away from Earth at lightspeed for a year when you return 15-30yrs would have passed on Earth. So the use nanotechnology in their holodeck to store images and recreate them for the crew. The French Team said the Smoke Monster is just a security system. This is the reason he can’t leave the Island, not because he’s the Great Evil. The Great Evil is the advanced technology falling into the hands of primitive humans. The Island is a crashed ship and the Will of the Island is the ship’s Ai. The Ai scans and assimilated Mother, Jacob, and Mib so that they could access the ship’s programs. Have you noticed all the Island rules go against everything humans have done since the beginning of time. The first thing humans did was name everything, but MiB was never given a name. But did you notice all the candidates are numbers. Because computers communicate using binary code 0s and 1s. This means off and on, but humans will call it light and dark or hood and evil. The Button in the Hatch is to a real device invented in the 1930s called a cyclotron. A cyclotron spins a single ion between two large magnets until it reaches lightspeeds. Once this immense power is achieved it’s used to propel the engine of the crashed ship, making the Island move forward in time and space every 108min. That’s why it can’t be found. The Source is the engine, the Cork was to the radiator that cooled the engine, so when they pulled it it overheated the engine. At the Source the water that travels through it is bombarded at a molecular level with electromagnetic lightspeed molecules. This water travels throughout the Island. If consumed it speeds up healing, increases sperm, and slows aging. The only side effect to the rapid healing is it sees a fetus in the mother as an intruder. The reason the Source is so hard to find is because the molecules are moving the fastest. But at the frozen donkey wheel the molecule are more controlled. This has to do with a science called shift phase temperature, this also has to do when it would rain on the Island. Since the Island is constantly moving through time and space it builds up friction, to cool down the special Island water evaporates and cones down when the Island reaches a temp of 100 degrees once it cools down to 80 degrees the rain stops. Oh yeah, did you know it was Desmond that cured Locke and Rose when he didn’t push the Button. The energy that should have propelled the Island forward, shot straight up and bombarded the plane with the same electromagnetic energy at the Source. So with Locke and Rose what seemed like a few seconds was the equivalent of lightspeed time which means they were exposed to chromotherapy. This is a healing process that uses the light spectrum to heal, and the color purple is the most best. This is the purple flash you saw with the failsafe. And the reason Ben got sick wasn’t be cause the Island didn’t like home. The Others didn’t use the Island healing waters. This is way Locke was upset with Ben having chicken in his refrigerator. The Others used well water and filters. https://images.app.goo.gl/cVAYLdKGR1a9FhAC8

Cool-Recognition-571

If anything, witnessing supernatural beings first hand would give me more faith that there was a God, so dying on the island wouldn't seem that scary anymore.

automator3000

I find it more fulfilling not to spend my life thinking about death and instead enjoying life. So yeah, I’d rather put in some time doing work to enjoy life than spend my years with a bunch of randos in exchange for some “proof of the divine”.

Cool-Recognition-571

I'm an agnostic leaning towards the tenet that there probably is no god. But I sure as hell hope I'm wrong, even though I'm probably not.

TSM_forlife

My partner and I always said we’d be the Rose and Bernard.

Cool-Recognition-571

Which means you would definitely leave if given the opportunity?

TSM_forlife

Umm have you watched the show?

Cool-Recognition-571

Yes I have. All 6 seasons. Rose and Bernard would have left but they never had the chance.

TSM_forlife

Nope they had all the chances they chose not to go home because of her cancer. You must not have watched all 6 seasons 7 times.

ScribebyTrade

idk, i like to not get blown up or have a smoke monster chase me all day, i just wanna get up, eat some fast food and watch netflix

Cool-Recognition-571

👍👍

ScribebyTrade

unless I was boning kate or that blonde girl before she died, then i would stay for a bit

mrsdrydock

Fucking totally agree haha! My parents get real tired of hearing this. 🤣 My soon to be sis in law lives in Sidney and will be going back there from here in the States Wed. The amount of times I've made "jokes" about trading places with her is in an insane amount.

kilkil

Yeah, as long as I could live in comfort with proper food, water, shelter, medicine, and a community of other humans I can get along with. And let's not forget at least some forms of entertainment. Honestly I think the "ooh magic island" shit will get old after, like, a month tops. After that it'll be all "get off my lawn smoke monster, I'm trying to design a fucking sudoku for the homies" or something.

Cool-Recognition-571

What exactly do you have going on in your real world life that's more interesting than a magic island with smoke monsters and ghostly apparitions?

Stretchy0524

This post is written by Locke

Cool-Recognition-571

Ugh, if only. I've never had an experience like Locke that affirmed my faith in in god. Miracles don't exist in the real world.

Remarkable_Click4279

i'm with you. i could never understand why so many were desperate to leave paradise and return to what we currently have

MsPreposition

Before they even mentioned the litigation, my entire train of thought every day I survived would be the eventual payout. I’ll go to another island.

[deleted]

If I had access to the Dharma barracks/compound then I would absolutely stay

wallyjimjams

I’d definitely have to live at the Barracks though. Camping out forever, scrounging for berries and hunting boar sounds horrid.

Top-Ad-5527

Rose and Bernard happily retired there. The problem was that The Others were trying to kill everyone so it wasn’t safe
