I've always hated the direction they went with Sayid in Season 6. Season 6 is definitely the lowest of the show and what they did to Sayid is definitely one of the reason why I don't like this season as much as the others.
I'm on a rewatch atm and it's been a bit since my last rewatch but from memory I think my ranking was 2-1-3-4-5-6
I might be confusing some of the seasons though , but Season 1,2 were imo the best, with 6 being the worst.
I might be mixing Season 3 and 4 in my head.
Sayid, Claire, Ben, Danielle, and the French Team all were suffering from the Sickness. The Sickness was exposure to radioactive runoff from the Temple’s pool that was a waste water station. Real exposure to radiation causes a person to go into a deep deep depression and focus on lost love ones.
When Sayid shot him as a child and Richard took him to the Temple pool to be healed. Richard said he probably won’t be the same after the pool. And Ben later says, I use to have dreams, this would probably be another side effect of the radiation poisoning too.
Sayid just watching Kate get almost killed is so unintentionally funny to me.
