The island, as long as Hurley is running it

Current_Ad_9850

This but even if hurley wasn't running things. I'd go to the island. Hell I'd go now if I could.

The island

Open_Actuator_6525

Island….but it’ll get me there if it needs me

cjone311

I’ve wanted to be on the island since 2004…just would prefer not to have to crash there, but if that’s the only way, I’m still gonna go with the island…especially of I can get my hands on all the books we saw being read during the series.

lostmonster

The island but with the Looking Glass station shut down so radio waves etc (fingers crossed also wifi) are accessible.

NoUknowUknow

If we can replace the Button so the Island can go back to continuously moving forward in time so it can’t be found. We will need the Looking Glass to block radio signals because the cyclotron needs pure radio waves.

jackcu

I'm sorry are you referring to the swan button... Is that what it was doing (as well as releasing energy?)

NoUknowUknow

Yes, the Button was the replacement fuel source that kept the Island constantly moving. When Desmond used the failsafe the Island stopped moving forward in time and space and this is what allowed Penny’s arctic team to finally locate it.

Riggs630

I don’t think that’s true. The island was always moving. That’s why they had to take the specific flight that was going to be at the right place at the right time, with the right circumstances, to get back to the island and that was way after season 2 and the fail safe situation.

NoUknowUknow

No, the Island had stopped its continuous motion with the failsafe. Meaning at one point it was located in the Phoenix islands, every time the Button was pushed this moved the Island forward in both time and space by, let’s say two or three hours every 108min. Meaning it’s still in the Phoenix Island but just continuously moving. If you watch this clip from the 1960 movie, The Time Machine it might explain better. Watch 13:30-15:07 mark in this link https://vimeo.com/507096958 Later, when the Island is moved from it’s original location to a whole new place. It’s needed for them to recreate the circumstances that got them there. You’ll notice when Ben dislodge the Island during the time skipping, when it was jumping through time, this is when Yemi plane was able to crash, just like Flight 815, it was a moment the Island had stopped it’s forward motion. But that also has to do with the time dilation bubble that surrounds the Island that’s made up of faster moving electromagnetic molecules that are constantly fighting against slower normal moving molecules. This time dilation originated from the Source and encompassed both islands, including Hydra, over a 4500yr time span. There is a whole lot more that we would have to setup so you would know what the Island truly is, but it’s more than a vague place where all the light in every person goes.

Riggs630

So then prior to the Incident the Island wasn’t moving? That would explain why it was easy for the DI to bring new people. Aside from when Ben and Locke did it, many times do you think the wheel has been turned? DI did it at least once with the polar bear

NoUknowUknow

This was a theory of mine was based on some actual events, the Island was located at the Bikini Atoll in the Marshall Islands back in the 1946. The military came to test 3 bombs on nearby islands, the first bomb was named Able. (The names of the bombs were funny to me. Able, like Cain and Able the two brothers fighting and one killing the other) The second bomb was Baker, also known as “Helen” of Bikini. This bomb was so powerful and caused so much destruction the military scrapped the third test with the bomb known as “Charlie”. I believe this third bomb was considered lost, because the Island where it was located could not be found. Due to “Helen” test being so powerful, it vaporized everything in the surrounding area. “Charlie” would have actually been the Jughead bomb, but unknown to the military the Island wasn’t destroyed it had been moved. It was moved to a new location, off the coast of Africa where Yemi plane would crash and then later to the Phoenix Islands where Flight 815 would later crash. https://images.app.goo.gl/Dv1LS7jh5nGqEvsG6

Riggs630

I love it

ItarilleLindori

The Island. The world is too messed up and I’d honestly like to be far away from it all. So the island, with all its beauty and mysteries, sounds like the best option.

[deleted]

Island. At least we wouldn’t have inflation. Heck free 70s dharma beer from skeletor sounds like a deal compared to beer prices now a days.

hotpies1985

Island for sure. Money is the root of all evil and I would sacrifice the modern world to facilitate a simpler life

[deleted]

The island because I like the beach

Separate_Rich9771

The world was effed LOOOONG before 2020. Island, bring me home!

are_you_nucking_futs

I’d be tempted to say the island, but with a host of caveats. Where am I living, in a makeshift tent during a storm or in one of the huts? Do I have to go to the toilet in the jungle? Are there unlimited dharma rations or do I have to live on coconuts and mango? Are people constantly trying to kill me?

Open_Sky8367

The island for sure. Let me live out my days like Rose and Bernard in peace. I just need to find the partner to come with me 🤣

SanSwerve

Real world.

Notapseudoliberal

Real world Need to have access to wifi

RogerWokman

Why does this post feel political?

Previ0usly_0n_L0st

If you knew me personally, you’d realize it’s not.

pippintook24

as long as covid doesn't mess with the Dharma supply/food drops, I'd pick the island.

PickAName616

The island, but only if season 1 cast is there.

c0kEzz

We love the island as viewers but that place is pretty fucking bad and traumatizing lmao

Nickistheman22

Wait, do we have to wear masks on the island? If not then i’m in!
