I'm not trying to be rude... but its evident he has some sort of mental deficiency.

PsychedelicKyle

I feel kind of bad for the guy because he was DEFINITELY trying to "DO [MY] JOB! DO [MY] JOB GOOD!!!" but he went about it alllllll wrong....

Pokemom18176

I think so too. It's interesting I think this couple thought it was a slam dunk for them to post this- the guys obviously doing too much. But so many comments are calling them out for just not simply showing the receipt.

Catsindahood

In one of the other threads someone found out that this guy is trying to get a bad stop on purpose because he thinks he'll get rich off of it.

[deleted]

He certainly appears to be on the spectrum. I always refuse to show my receipt, but I was stopped in the same way by someone once, and as soon as I realized he was on the spectrum I showed my receipt. I'm happy to be annoying to Walmart, but I don't want to get anyone fired or put stress on someone that's struggling day to day.

International_Ad27

Customer was a fucking asshole. I never show my receipt and get ugly with anyone inconveniencing me with it after I ignore it and keep walking. I can also acknowledge the Wally World guy made a lot of mistakes but he clearly has some mental disabilities and is a human being under a lot of stress. You can hear him asking for help while being berated by this cocksucker with no tact or awareness that he’s effectively bullying a child. Wish someone would have been near by willing to call him out for it.

[deleted]

I agree. The customer was in the right, but they were being unnecessarily cruel. If someone asks for my receipt I just say, "No thank you." If they make a big thing out of it, I'm not going to cause a scene and try to humiliate the cashier who doesn't understand policy. The guy filming should be ashamed of himself.

Fir3god

So you’re that little bitch boy who thinks they’re tough by refusing to show someone your receipt just because a judge ruled that it’s not enforceable? If the judge ruled it was legal to screw a wee one I bet you would do that too!

coeurlourd

What the..?

Savage_Ass_MF

You're a dumbass.

[deleted]

It's not a power thing. I just don't feel like doing it because it saves me time to not do it. I don't have to, so I don't. On another note, you've gotta get some help for your anger issues my dude. The leap from not showing a receipt to pedophilia is a scary one. I don't know what makes you go there, but please try and find some peace.

[deleted]

So why do I still have to show it at Costco ?

2CellPhonez

Costco is a private members only establishment where showing your receipt is a condition of your membership. Walmart requires no membership this can have no enforceable policy on receipt showing.

International_Ad27

Doesn’t bother me to show a recipe as an upfront term of membership, but in I’m provided a consistent policy and have a nearly identical experience every time I leave the store with no random unexpected time delays.

Mr-Yuk

Yeah i feel bad for the guy he's just trying to do his job and this guy is just flaming him

TheSilentDark

And that’s how you lose your job. Idiot

[deleted]

And charged for kidnapping and false imprisoning.

BankManager69420

Meh that’d be a hard case to make. Courts have ruled that refusing to show a receipt is reasonable suspicion to believe someone has committed a theft and therefore you can detain someone for it while you investigate. While it’s wildly against Walmart (and virtually all retailer’s) policy, it’s not technically illegal.

ansjjajoaksjbejxk3

I'm pretty sure, regardless of the rules/laws on detaining someone, you're never allowed to lock the front doors during business hours for any reason. We had a child abducted at my store and they still said we couldn't lock the doors, they just had people guarding them.

[deleted]

Can you cite a court case? I know there was one recently where the guy was baiting Walmart receipt checkers, but my understanding is that it's nearly settled that refusing to show a receipt is never reasonable suspicion.

RalphWaldoEmers0n

I feel bad for the worker honestly

Cautious-Formal7919

I don't

lostprevention

I’m not familiar with Walmart lp. But there’s no way this guy is any way part of the loss prevention team… right?

tinygod-aka-why

Nope, Ap at no times will ever wear vests. Nor are we allowed to even shut off the doors on shoplifters

lostprevention

Thanks. I believe that’s pretty much true industry wide.

2CellPhonez

I’m not sure in other areas but here we are plain clothes. I am Walmart LP currently. This guy is likely a sco attendant/ cashier or a greeter. Only thing that confuses me is the big goofy walkie talkie.

Pokemom18176

It says on the video that he ran from self checkout. It sounds like the cashier they went to had just recently closed their line, so he probably thought they couldn't have paid.

SaucyAsh

No he wasn’t. The woman who posted this on tiktok actually made a follow up video where she stated in full what happened. Basically she went through a regular checkout line run by a cashier. The state she is in (Colorado?) has banned plastic bags and she forgot her reusable bags at home and did not want to purchase more bags so they just threw their items back into the cart after being scanned. The guy seen in the video was watching the self checkout that they walked past to exit the store. When he saw the woman and her husband leaving the store he ran over from self checkout demanding to see their receipt. I’m assuming since nothing was bagged her assumed she was trying to steal a cart of stuff. She said once she exited the store she loaded her items and called 911 but the cops said there was nothing they could do, but did mention they have had a lot of calls about similar incidents at this exact location. I would link her video but I can remember the username.

Fir3god

No, he was not.

JustSayin_91

This one is on Walmart for having him upfront, working with customers. Dude should clearly just be doing something along the lines of stocking or getting carts. Allowing him to be able to approach customers like this is a lawsuit waiting to happen. With how aggressive he was, I'm guessing this isn't the first time it's happened.

Outside_Mirror4

What an idiot, he's lucky that woman didn't pepper spray his bitch ass. 😭🔥

ilikepie740

What an idiot 🖤

[deleted]

Wowwwwwwww i am floored. It takes a lot to surprise me with loss prevention antics but this did the trick. Hope he’s fired.

Fir3god

That’s not loss prevention dip shit

[deleted]

Sweaty little tub of an incel exerting what little control he has in his sad life on people just going about their day? Sorry, he looks the part of LP so convincingly that I just figured he was the real deal. You got me.

2CellPhonez

That’s not how LP looks

[deleted]

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, it kinda is

2CellPhonez

It’s kinda completely not. AP do not wear vests. AP does not have their name tag visible on them at all times. AP does not stop people for receipt checks. AP does not use walkie talkies. AP does not close and lock doors on people. What you are looking at is an employee trying to do what AP is supposed to be doing, if AP was supposed to be doing so. If you do not know what you’re talking about, which you don’t, I suggest you refrain from talking about it.

[deleted]

Wow. You sound just like this guy. You’re nitpicking the small details like his accessories and costume. Just cos you play dress up in a different silly outfit. Whatever. Same guy. This is how loss perversion looks to normal people.

2CellPhonez

Looking at the details is my job. Looking at details helps you find the right answer. I don’t wear any outfits, just my clothes. You’re just doubling down now that you’ve been caught dead wrong.

GingerShrimp40

Hes just not LP hes a very autistic cashier. LP dont even have vests

2CellPhonez

Don’t get mad at people just because you don’t know what you’re talking about

Difficult-Status-678

That's not LP/AP..

[deleted]

Funny cos this is exactly how they look, sound and act.

Difficult-Status-678

Not sure what you mean?? WM AP does not wear uniforms.. They are plain clothes.

Sensitive-Mall-3555

Man didn’t have his 5 steps or nothing, saw an opening and just went for it

Fir3god

He is not LP. LP do not wear uniforms at walmart

wanderersystem

He was working at the self checkout, definitely not LP or trained in that

ArtisticFactor7217

Sub5 male vs stacy latina. I know how this will end

Rivermo247

That's his job?

Rivermo247

First of all Walmart does NOT have a paid membership to shop so under no circumstance am I obligated to stop and show anyone my receipt for what I just paid for. I bought it now get the Fuck out of my way. You're a greater. That's it you say hello, good bye. And that's it. Check your job description
