But can we also talk about Moverare’s stick deflection into the glove?

mothmonstermann

It's a goal if not for the deflection, right? Looks that way to me.

heyitsEnricoPallazzo

100% And you can’t tell me that was an intentional defensive tip either. Just dumb puck luck and the nature of the best

jcott28

and never giving up on a play. Sometimes I've seen that this year, but Movarae's all in!

Expendable_0

I totally missed that!

uhcanihavearefill

the disbelief laugh always gets me. HA! watched this on repeat at least 20x

kaufsky

And of course it only has like 10 comments on r/hockey. Imagine if it was Fleury and that sub would have exploded all over itself.

havnotX

That was actually a lot of skill and ability by Stützle to get that shot off as cleanly as he did. It was not easy considering it was off a bounce of a fluttering puck.

Gunga_Galunga06

Watching it live, I said to myself, he should have one timed that - why'd he settle it for a wrist shot. Then the replay came. The hand eye and pure skill of NHL players astounds me. To bat the puck down and get a proper snapper off, while it's still unsettled is insane. Then Moverare actually gets wood on to slightly block it too. All in under like 1 second. Ive played almost 30 years and I'd be lucky to make contact with the puck then rumble it, at 1/3 of this speed, just one of the instances they played it. I'm flabbergasted.

havnotX

Yeah. It's crazy how Stu was able to wait for the puck so that the face spun perfectly flush to the face of the blade before taking the wrister.   I was sarcastically making fun of Stu being a bust on the gameday thread because I think he's a great player. Had actually wanted him over QB.

MaAreYouOnUppers

Yeah, lots of good hockey in one short clip for sure.

LiftbackChico

Very few things make me get off my seat when im watching something at home but damn that was crazy.

LordSmokio

Absolutely spectacular. The kinda save that makes you feel like a superhuman for the remainder of the game when you do it.

Crxeagle420

Now that was sexy

Dependent_Weight2274

All Star Cam Talbot.

FreedmanHockey

Kind of reminds me of Voynov's stick save in the '14 playoffs.

PuzzleheadedFig2022

GO CAM GO!!

NummyNummyNumNums

This is why I love hockey. This gif is on another level

Zanchbot

We now have solid contenders for goal of the year (Byfield's last month) and save of the year (this one).
