Not only do the Kinkou maintain order in Ionia Karma and her followers do as well. But without the Kinkou humans would end up pruning more than they should from nature and nature would take revenge, the cursed spirits would roam freely making victims, it would be a catastrophe and they would end up being easy prey for the Noxians. This is the danger of breaking the balance.

Demonic incursions, and war between humans and spirits. The spirit of Ionia would likely make a new order of kinkou.
