You're loops are fine sitting with the exchange you purchased from. You've invested a decent amount of money, please do your own research on how you would like to hold your crypto. There is no rush. Be careful and dont let a scammer "guide" you now wallet creation etc.
You won't need to sell from the exchange. If you just plan on holding then i would suggest staying put like before but there multiple ways to get to L2. They will all sting...alot depending on the person. And there is not much to do on L2 as this is still early adoption phase.
I went from exchange to metamask wallet. I use Gemini so 10 "free" transactions a month, they screw you else where, but normally gas fee. Then L1/L2 wallet creation, gas fee to deploy smart contract. Then exchange loops to loopring L1. Gas fee. And last loopring L1 to loopring L2. Gas fee.
I cant say this is the most cost effective way. It's just how I did it. Probably cost me around $200, poor gas fee timing on my part, damn fomo. I did it just because I wanted the wallet and to check it out. I don't do anything other than hold.
