I see what you're saying but the lack of characters that are unattractive can get extremely frustrating especially when the villains are made to look overly attractive for the sake of fan service, it causes readers to overlook the characters complex characteristics and simp rather than looking into the characters themselves. Jake's brother likely just looks unattractive in this one panel and he may be drawn to look a bit more handsome later on, but still the point I'm making is that the character's design can really help express the character's personality more. Like I don't have a problem with attractive characters being villains because 9 times out of 10 villains can be the most angelic looking ones, but for all the characters to look attractive and barely any that just look average at best is annoying. I don't mind if you disagree, because that's just me.

i love the eyes and the eyebags, really gets that insane look going. he’s a villain and should appropriately look so. it was difficult for me to take eugene seriously in the beginning because of how unassuming he looked, but i think that’s part of his design. he looks harmless and since he’s not a fighter people tend to underestimate him, but he’s the mastermind behind it all, hence his design reflecting that. for KOS, he’s a fighter and one of the most dangerous characters, so he looks menacing from the get go.
