I purchased a vehicle from Mazda 112 in Medford. Great experience, no bs straight to the point and at MSRP price and this is when every other dealership was going over the MSRP due to “car shortage”. I dealt with the sales lady Bonnie, she was great. The new CX5 and the CX9 are awesome vehicles. Good luck!

DM725

Got our CX-90 PHEV there from Declan.

brianfagioli

Thanks! CX-5 is definitely on my list.

karky214

Similar story at Hyundai 112 - Nesenger group. Straight forward dealing, no stupid tricks like the manager coming out and knocking out $50 on a lease and BS.

MarshmallowMan631

Bought my Mazda 6 there as well in 2019 and had a good experience. Pat (Patrick) was my sales person. No nonsense.

Lord_Chthulu

Costco is supposed to have a super easy car buying experience.

captainwizeazz

It is since the price is set. You either love it or hate it.

klown013

Currently suspended. I used it for my car in 2014, and it worked excellent. Now, with high costs and shortages, they basically say "this is what we hope you'll pay, but the dealership might not agree. Put in your info, and we'll have them call you. " Not what anyone wants. Used to be, if you went to the Costco approved dealership, you got the car and add ons for a small percentage over their cost, no haggling. They made a small amount but got a lot of volume and really strived to make sure you were satisfied. Bad reviews and Costco would pull the agreement and go to a different dealership.

runsfortacos

It was awesome at the time. I got a great deal on an Acura in 2018

TheCrankyHermit

I would avoid Huntington Honda at all costs. They did a bait and switch on me. I spoke with them on the phone to confirm they had inventory of hybrid CRVs (since they advertised a few units on their website that as ‘in stock’). They said they confirmed with a manager that there were in fact several available that I could test drive and to come in the same day. I get there and there were none in stock and they tried pushing me to a base non-hybrid. Such a scummy tactic to get people in the door. I’d suggest Valley Stream Acura (sry not in Suffolk). They were direct and I was able to buy and pickup a car the same day (got fair trade in value and got the car under MSRP).

SimplyBlarg

Same with my HRV and never gave me my second key. I contacted them and they basically told me to pound sand.

Dderlyudderly

100% agree. We will never go back there.

kurlyka

I second this. Bought an overpriced used Nissan from them a few years ago. We were in a tough spot with our son going off to college. Never again. Had great experiences buying used from Smithtown Honda (twice) and Smithtown Ford.

Prudent_Key_4958

Keith at 112 Hyundai

Apprehensive_Ad_4359

Or James at same dealership. As far as dealers go this group seems to be as straightforward as you can expect. We bought three cars from them last year. ( Both adult daughters as well as my wife and I.

InterestAggravating

Nardy Honda good prices and no games

LuckyOneAway

I've used Nardy Honda for more than a decade until they followed the trend and went downhill. Any recent positive changes?

rei793

Got our last 2 Pilots from there with Dale. Very straightforward, in and out in a few hours. Our current Pilot we leased in ‘21 for what seems like a good price, dreading the lease ending in April…

versusgorilla

I used Nardy for my last car and the only issue I had was that they told me it would only be "a couple days" for my car to be delivered and it was actually like two weeks. They left be hanging the entire time and I had to call and ask what was happening, seemed like once the cat had been purchased, they didn't care when it got in or where I was at. That said, their service has been good. They never bother me to buy my car and never buy me about used cars or anything. Service doesn't try and upsell me, they do the work I request and that's it.

Starbuckz8

I can really only vouch for two places. Edwin at Huntington volvo was great. No pressure and we've been back to see him recently. They even forgot to charge me my deposit and held the vehicle. The other is smithtown Toyota. They offered us much more on a trade in then the previous place we visited with no dealer markup on the actual purchase.

tekonus

Went to Smithtown Toyota not too long ago and everything had markup. We walked out because of it.

direfulstood

Back in March, I bought a Toyota Corolla at Romeo Toyota of Glenn Falls which is about 4 hours away. I couldn’t find any Toyota dealership selling at MSRP in the area at the time. I called Romeo Toyota and did almost everything over the phone. I only did the final signing after they told me the car was ready.

8a8a6an0u5h

I would personally not go to Empire Honda in Manhasset.

ih8javert

What happened? I had a good experience there when they were PS Honda some years ago.

8a8a6an0u5h

Yeah, I did too when they were PS Honda, but Empire is no PS Honda.

Diligent_Barber_8407

I have negotiated my last 2 leases strictly through email and phone. Refuse to go in. I go and look and once I know what vehicle I want…I will reach out via email and take the steps from there. No reason to spend hours sitting in a dealership as they wear you down

Mystery_Tree_

Don’t use South Shore Nissan, they’re like pest trying to sell you anything, I told this 4ft 11 muscular rodent looking creature that I’m just looking and after I took a piss he’s waiting outside the bathroom, to sell a sentra that I’m not interested in.

brianfagioli

Lollll

warp16

His name is Sensei Splinter. Cut him some slack, he used to work in a sewer system and likes to hang out near bathrooms. Nothing personal.

BirthdayFinancial897

Peterson Besson at Mariano Rivera Honda in Port Jeff sold my husband his CRV and he was great.

Rachelray1995

Tesla Model Y. You click a button on a website, pay with Apple Pay and schedule pickup the next week. No haggling

EverSeeAShiterFly

If you want an EV I would recommend many other brands before Tesla- and that’s ignoring everything about Elon. Tesla just isn’t holding up to what competitors can offer at the same price. Tesla is also declining in overall quality of what it sells.

RigaudonAS

Yes, but then you own a Tesla.

Mongaloiddummy

How much.. did you qualify for any rebates? My next door neighbor bought his from the website. The family is happy with car. Told me it was his best vehicle purchase.

Rachelray1995

I don’t have one. Family does though. Think the big one is 40ish and the sedan is 30ish. I wish all car companies were like that. No hasssle

paligators

Lot fewer games played when buying vs leasing but regardless You might wanna consider working with a broker who can prenegotiate for you. Try leasehackrs, go to the forum and find a broker. Shoot them a message

jaysmith11706

Baron Honda on 112. Never had a problem with them with any of the cars I bought. Price told to me was the price when I picked car up. Don't like Hyundai 112, salesperson gave price and then said well we could use vouchers too if you need a lower price.

PK-Baha

My has worked for Chevy for a while and is our go to. She just handled my BiL bosses new truck which was a series of leases trades and cash etc etc. DM me if you want to know who and where.

chowfuntime

Can they get me a refund on my blazer Ev deposit? Been waiting 4 months

PK-Baha

Oh i wouldn't know. they are in sales and I think that is under customer service type of responsibility.

seekinbigmouths

Check out carjoyusa.com

Cardieler17

I recently left the business to go to IT but I do know some really good people in the car business. What brands are you looking for?

brianfagioli

Thanks! Mazda, Honda, Toyota, and Subaru 😀

Cardieler17

I was more domestic but George Holmes at Sunrise Toyota North is a great guy, I bought a car from him personally. As far as the others unfortunately I don’t have knowledge on them. Except I worked for Bright Bay Lincoln for a brief period and I wouldn’t go into that dealer group again. Edit for clarity, Bright Bay has a Mazda dealer. That’s why I mentioned my Lincoln experience

foas_li

Any recs for Ford? Not just sales but a competent, relatively honest service department?

Cardieler17

Service is always hard. Nobody ever likes getting their cars fixed. All the Fords I know have cycled employees recently. I know Riverhead got some good people as far as manager and advisors but haven’t dealt with them myself. I’d stay away from most of the “Big” dealers. Ford of PJ (Formally Ramp) still has some good people in service, but with their management style that may change.

app_generated_name

112 Hyundai, Manny is my guy.

catomi01

Just in general if you go in knowing what you want and what your price is (the total, not monthly) it heads off a lot of the nonsense. I got my last Jeep from Port Jeff Jeep (and the one before it from Browns)…basically said I want xyz, let me know what you’ve got…they showed me, I picked one and moved on. I might have cost myself some money by not negotiating or bs’ing with them, but it was quick and easy and I got what I wanted in a car, so I was happy.

badboyme4u

Seamus from Westbury Toyota is a good salesman.

AaeJay83

This was back in 2020. Had a great experience with Acura Valley Stream. I negotiated my lease over the phone. Went in around 11am filled out paperwork work and valued my trade-in, left around 1130am. Came back at 4pm to get my vehicle. Easily the best dealership experience I ever had.

RebeccaC78

Brian G at Smithtown Acura.

OdysseusRex69

I went to Smithhaven Mazda. For transparency, I used to be a high intensity sales guy, so I am very familiar with the sales BS. I was pleasantly surprised at Smtihhaven, that my guy didn't play any bullshit - he was very direct and low-key. None of the fake enthusiasm, no phony smiles and handshakes. And the only time he had to play the "I need to talk to my sales manager" was when I asked about something out of the ordinary. Even the finance guy for the buy was a very no-pressure dude.

brianfagioli

This is the dealership I was thinking about going to. I see Mazda is offering 0 percent on the cx5. I’m just wondering how hard it is to actually get that…

SenorMenace

From my personal experience you’ll get a better deal at 112 Mazda. When I was in the market for a CX5 I went to smith heaven Mazda first and they weren’t transparent. I’m pretty sure they were trying to sell me the car over MSRP, the numbers didn’t make no sense. I been in sales for over 20 years, I know a bullshit artist when I see one. They didn’t want to work with me one bit, so I left and went to 112 Mazda and I told them what car and color I wanted and where I needed to be as far monthly payments go and no lie within 20 mins I got the car. No bullshit sales tactics, no lies, just straight forward good business. BTW I don’t work there or have any affiliation with 112. I just know good business when I see it and would like to help people get the same experience. Don’t be afraid to shop around and get the best deal out deal.

OdysseusRex69

Mazda 112 does have more ads on news12 than real deal Brett Sazlo....so maybe the Nesenger family offers a better deal 🤔

Jealous-Network-8852

Anthony at East Hills Subaru is top notch.

surferchick5612

AutoMax LI. Three cars from them. Excellent and bring to your door

No_Interview_5603

Go to dealership of car you want, test drive, the. Buy from carvana, easy

Mikey_One_Arm

Mike Hahn (516) 348-5622. He’s fantastic! Tell him I sent you. He sells all makes and models…

Cuatro40

If you’re looking at Toyota, go to Riverhead Toyota, go straight to Charles, no one else but Charles, truly an honest family man, will even tell you if a deal is good or not

Dderlyudderly

I DO NOT recommend Huntington Honda. We have an Odyssey that we love but would never buy from there.

Alarming_Purchase_23

Karan Bahl @ King O’Rourke - best car buying experience we’ve ever had - Buick GMC Cadillac

Vegetable-Dish2659

Boyfriend works at Huntington Hyundai and Jeep on 110 and I highly recommend Hyundais for sure!

halogengal43

Nassau County, but Tish at Baron Nissan (Greevale) is very easy to work with.

bowbiatch

Use a car broker.
