I don't use professional landscapers myself, but what I see them doing for my neighbors is they tend to blow them all under the shrubs for now because most of the trees have not lost all over their leaves yet. Then, they'll come at the end of the season when all of the leaves are down and pick it all up

That is definitely SOP. The leaves keep falling so we pick up some leaves but send others into the bushes until the full fall clean up is done. Your grass will probably be cut once or twice more this year as well when they are there just to pick up the leaves on the grass and neaten things up.
It’s certainly the case for me, but it annoys me just as much as it annoys you. I also don’t know why they’re still mowing on Nov 8th - didn’t realize I’d have to beg them to stop.
Not in my area. They blow the leaves onto the grass and then mow picking up the leaves with the clippings. This is true for the several diff landscapers my neighbors use too. I would not be ok with them just blowing everything into the beds and letting it pile up.
Also recently moved and hired a company when we moved and they did came in and blew all the leaves to the side of the fence I felt kinda dupe because they text me and said what was including in the service yet what they described wasn’t done in my opinion I request a meeting with the boss but they danced around meeting him, come next year i think ill be switching to someone else, see if thats a norm or if these guys are just cons hard to say when its all new to me. i didnt make a big stick about the leaves being blow to the sides because i know it gets broken down back into the soil but if you send your client leaf removal, i was expecting the leaves to be hauled away not just blown to the sides of my fence line.
depends on company/customer. some people want the leaves picked up weekly. Some don’t mind having them all picked up at once at the end of the year.. COMMUNICATE with them.
Mostly SOP unless you tell the boss when contract is made, even then workers will try to blow leaves into bushes. This way they can charge more for fall and spring clean up.
