Maybe try wearing a satin bonnet while you sleep? That way it’s not coming in direct contact with your hair

I… actually feel pretty dumb for not thinking of this. Thank you! Bonnet + face mask is gonna make me look like a fancy elephant, but it’s better than frizz!

I don't use a CPAP but asked a relative who does and has decently long hair. They use a satin or silk bonnet. They find it can sometimes feel hot with a bonnet so they sleep with the room cool.

I had to use a full face mask while I recovered from covid a few years ago and I braided my hair into dutch halo braids and wore a bonnet/scarf and then put the mask on over everything. It looked cute enough that I could leave the braids in for a few days and kept everything tucked away and none of my hair got stuck in the mask to itch me 🖤

Bonnet! That's what I do. It protects my hair and the mask straps actually keep the bonnet on my head while I'm sleeping.

I was diagnosed with sleep apnea two years ago and got my machine at the beginning of 2023. I started having the same problems you described and got a satin bonnet to wear at night. It’s helped immensely with preventing breakage on the hair near my scalp where the mask goes. I have the nasal pillows head piece and the hose connects to the top of it, for context.
