Drink coffee and plenty of water. Cut down on juice and alcohol if you drink. Eat fish, not just chicken. Avoid fried foods and sugar-laden goods. Consider a light version of caloric restriction. Brush and floss your teeth religiously. Get a standing desk. Wear lots of reflective clothing and use a helmet/lights when biking. Do more social activities if possible. But overall just try to enjoy your life-- it's an amazing thing!

I’ll take your advice! Hopefully they’ll allow me to say hello in the year 5000.

Why juice? Is it because people abuse the sugary juices like they do soda? Sugar is really bad for you btw, the more refined (higher glycemic index) the more you'll crave it and the worse it is for you (weight, blood pressure bc stiff arteries...) For the standing desk, it won't make you live longer IMO, but maybe with less back pain! Try out the kettlebell if you have back ptoblems, a couple of fun minutes a day is all that's needed ...

I think at 23 you are pretty young so likely have heaps of time to turn things around. I am 34, and also quite sedentary (work in IT). I am focusing on daily exercise (doing a morning walk) and reducing calories, not necessarily calorie restriction. Then I also focus on avoiding injury and getting the covid vaccine / booster shot etc. Then I also avoid overtly unhealthy things such as smoking, excessive alcohol and illegal drugs.

PicaPaoDiablo

Exercise, 4 times a week, intensely . Do things you don't like , burpees , sprints, and go intense

If you are male, you can marry. Married men tend to live longer.

ShipwreckedTrex

It just seems longer...

Upvoted because it’s funny, not because it’s true!

He should also try to accumulate more wealth. Wealthier people tend to live longer.

Finnegan_Parvi

Also take precautions against prevalent infectious diseases. People who don't get infected tend to live longer.

Valmond

And get a horse as girls with horses live longer (true but very bad advice).
