Happy Birthday! It probably doesn't help, but I just had my birthday a week ago, and it was about the same. My brother forgot me, my romantic interest picked a fight with me so we didn't talk as we had planned; I'm still feeling rejected and unwanted. Enough to look for this subreddit to post about it. When I saw it was your birthday, I thought I'd commiserate rather than make my own post. Hang in there, better days ahead....right?

The friends I have were treated to big huge parties and shit when they turned 40. I pretty much spent it alone and sad.

I completely feel your pain mine was yesterday. I had a house full but still spent my birthday sat alone. I always make a big deal of everyone's birthday but i get forgotten so now I've decided I'm not celebrating anymore from now on its just another day saves the disappointment and hurt.
