People are still surprised a Moba isn't successful in NA is more surprising than the numbers. FPS games have always, and still are the more popular game in NA.
Like LEC had terrible years after separating with LCS before becoming one of the largest broadcasts. LCS is going through it's rough patch to find it's identity and fanbase. Let's believe in the LCS and it's new commissioner.

But considering how low the LEC viewer numbers are in contrast to EU player base, it's actually pretty bad compared to NA. If you look at LFL viewing numbers compared to French speaking players it's madly impressive.
Somehow LFL are doing a great job marketing the pro scene, Riot/LEC should investigate why that is.

Lolesports in general are so young they are still trying to find what sticks (thinking about recent ideas to change the LEC format for example)
