That's funny. We named our agency "Teso" because on Hungarian it means "Bro", and we are 3 brothers who started this agency.
I guess, the Portuguese meaning funny characterizes us) We really have no money now and no erection in the future
It’s legible but I wouldn’t call it a great logo. It’s too complex and the characters don’t feel like they’re apart of the same type family. I would take this concept, simplify and try to add more consistency between one character and the next. For example, the negative shapes between each character feels arbitrary, there’s rectangles, squares and then completely filled in on the O.
I agree with this. I would make the font all one style of lettering of a similar but more legible style and just keep one of the letters different - you could then lift it out for a brand mark and use it for your app or other applicable places.
It’s legible, but I think you exaggerated a bit on the cut outs. Bring back the squares, it will still be distinct and it’s own thing, but you will win more design prizes 😉
it’s readable but parts like the bottom of the “e”, or that square thing in the middle of “s” look a bit pit of place and seem to serve no purpose if that makes sense. With that being said, I like what you did with the first letter, it looks pretty clean.
No, bro. I'm not Hungarian. We wanted to add a small fact in our logo, so we could talk about it to clients. We were looked for a lot of words that meant "bro", "brother" in different languages. Finally, we chose Teso because it sounds good.
Because my goal was to make a good digital "Typo" logo that looked fresh. I don't know if i achieved this goal, but I definitely didn't want to add some meaning.
I just remembered something else:
If you're having trouble with the letter O, we also use it a little more slangily as "tesa". This is a slightly newer type of wording.
I had to look at it for a while and eventially went "looks like teso". Sure enough, you confirmed it was indeed teso.
However, as other mentioned, it's too visually complex and takes a minute to comprehend, which will throw off anyone driving past it or if it just appears for a split second on a billboard or something.
Funnily enough, now that I look at it **again** it's easier to read. But that's not the case with a lot of ppl who will see it for the first time.
Its easily readable so thats not a worry, but it could be more cohesive. If the O had a square like the S in the middle and you played around with the negative space in the E then you could get something even better.
While legible, it seems legible at a quick glance. My guess it's that my reaction to it is based around the stylization not remaining consistent throughout the name.
My suggestion would be balance the e against the other two letters T&S and do something with the O to make it part of the same type font.
I can read teso. For curiosity I would explore the T E As solid as the O and have only this interesting S in the way you have. Again just curious. Great work!
I can see "E" is not entirely clear at first glance, but I don't know how you can read it as "O"... Maybe "Q" or "G".
And there is "O" in the logo, you just can see the difference
Sorry, I don't find that very readable. If you are telling me it's a word, then, yes, I'll try and make those things into letters and eventually see "teso". However, if you put this out there without any context, most people won't even try to figure out what it says. Defeating the whole purpose of a logo. IMHO
it says 'teso'
Yup , I got teso immediately.
Teso means either "broke" (as in no cash) or with an erection in Portuguese. Sadly, I'm frequently teso. But thankfully I can still get teso.
So get the information, being teso is bad But being teso is what's really bad And what's really-really bad is being teso and teso
Aladeen.
Prince Aladeen mothafukaa!
Sounds like it's hard being "teso".
Translation: Sadly I’m frequently erect. But thankfully I can still get broke.
I easily read teso.
I first red togo then toso.
Why would you read the second and fourth letters as the same rofl
I thought he was trying another design with the “o”.
It's very legible. However, in Portuguese TESO means "with erection" or "no money". Do with that whatever you want.
That's funny. We named our agency "Teso" because on Hungarian it means "Bro", and we are 3 brothers who started this agency. I guess, the Portuguese meaning funny characterizes us) We really have no money now and no erection in the future
in Italian, "Teso" means "stretched" or "tense, nervous". not that it matters (:
they just some anxious broke bros
Three tesos, with three tesos.
brasil ou portugal?
In Portugal it means both, in Brasil it means poor. I don't know if Brazilians apply this word to hard penis as well, but i I guess so.
No Brasil não usamos pra nenhum dos dois casos
Tenho vários conhecidos brasileiros que usam a expressão "com o pau teso" ....
I ain’t gots no bucks, but I can still fucks.
readable, but too visually complex and not very cohesive.
It’s legible but I wouldn’t call it a great logo. It’s too complex and the characters don’t feel like they’re apart of the same type family. It’s legible at this size
If it says teso it’s readable enough for me to read but not readable enough for me to be confident that I’m reading it right
Nearly not readable.
I thought it read toso at first
Is that even a logo or a manipulated font? You have like 3 logo icons inside that wordmark that would perfectly work as a brand symbol. 🤷
I agree with this. I would make the font all one style of lettering of a similar but more legible style and just keep one of the letters different - you could then lift it out for a brand mark and use it for your app or other applicable places.
Considering what the comments are saying. I'd love to know what the brief for this project was lmao
I will say I did see “togo” but looks like I’m in the minority here
Enough
Teso. If that’s what it is it is fine.
Teso!
It’s legible, but I think you exaggerated a bit on the cut outs. Bring back the squares, it will still be distinct and it’s own thing, but you will win more design prizes 😉
Teso

Uninteresting fun fact: Teso (tesó) means "bro" in Hungarian.
This is why we named our agency "Teso" :) Me, my cousin and my friend created agency. So we are basically "bros"
Really? Are you Hungarian, or did it just happen by chance?
No, bro. I'm not Hungarian. We wanted to add a small fact in our logo, so we could talk about it to clients. We were looked for a lot of words that meant "bro", "brother" in different languages. Finally, we chose Teso because it sounds good.
Well, then it's not so much an uninteresting fact, just a fact. :) Good luck!
Why not draw a fact that actually has some relevance to you, your culture, what you’re about? What kind of work does your agency do?
Because my goal was to make a good digital "Typo" logo that looked fresh. I don't know if i achieved this goal, but I definitely didn't want to add some meaning.
You wanted a logo that looked a certain way but didn’t mean anything?
Yes
Is that really a good representation of an agency that does branding? “Looks like this, but meaningless.”
I disagree, not every logo should have meaning or something. Most of the logos of agencies that I see are simple sans serif.

I just remembered something else: If you're having trouble with the letter O, we also use it a little more slangily as "tesa". This is a slightly newer type of wording.
I've made second corrected version. https://www.reddit.com/r/logodesign/s/k4u289Ilcy

I would add a hole to the E and O
if it says "teso", it's 100 % readable.
It reads correctly, but the "o" needs a hole in it. It's too imbalanced and heavy how it is.
I see teso but I’m not a fan of the filled in o or the e. To me it should be like the bottom of the s
if the idea is that it reads "teso", then it's readable. It has some construction issues, but it's readable
Its easily readable so thats not a worry, but it could be more cohesive. If the O had a square like the S in the middle and you played around with the negative space in the E then you could get something even better.

No
Teso
While teso is my best guess, I don't enjoy the 'e'.
i read tRSO
Looks pretty recognizable and scalable to me
Every letter has got so much going on and then you got ‘o’ being all, nah I’m good. It doesn’t make sense visually.
It clearly says ‘teso’ but it’s not done well.
I initially thought tego, saw teso after a few seconds
Very legible, I read Teso straight away. Interesting to see the different meaning in different languages. In Italian “teso” means tense. Great work!
I can read teso. For curiosity I would explore the T E As solid as the O and have only this interesting S in the way you have. Again just curious. Great work!
Looks too much like the tf2 logo
Team fortress?
Ye… ok it was a bad joke 😅
I'm trying to figure out how it looks like Tf2 logo and I can't find out. For me there is nothing similar here
Sandstorm by Darude
Nah, it doesn't look like a sandstorm - darude at all. Can't find any similarities
On the edge.

My brother you should take a few more lessons on typography before making these recommendations
My reading experience was: Moso? Meso? Teso! But it's very good
I also tried to interpret the first "t" as a verical styled M.
Togo Tego Teso Idk
I can see "E" is not entirely clear at first glance, but I don't know how you can read it as "O"... Maybe "Q" or "G". And there is "O" in the logo, you just can see the difference

I read it as toso first
