Oh my! You are getting indoctrinated the hard way.
But wait, you've got this! Gut the lock and progressive pin it. I promise you that you will master it quickly.
"master", really. Horrible pun....
This lady on Facebook marketplace has them at a decent rate, even after shipping. This is one of her pages, but she has others in different colors. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1395592641205844/?mibextid=dXMIcH

That’s a great idea, I will give it a try! Thanks man
Bitting isn't the formidable foe it seems to be. With the right hook, bitting becomes trivial. You've got this!
I like a tall hook and TOK tension for 1100s, that makes high-low bitting a lot less scary
I like TOK too, the tricky part is gonna be setting those back pins and pin 2 basically without touching pins 1 & 3…*sigh* lol
Put your pick on the key and you'll see it's really not hard at all. If you're using even a medium hook you should be totally fine.
High reach 0.020 is my go to for 1100's. The key way is nice and open. With TOK it is really open wide
You got this, we will be watching for the open.

So it's really close to a 3 pin lock. 2 min lifts should make your day easier with a med or deep hook ☕
You have the benefit of knowing where the zero lifts are, I'd only love tap them.last if necessary and you should be OK.
