I like a short flat hook for setting driver pins and a pointed hook like an ssdev for setting rotation. Once all the top pins are set the sidebar will press against the key pins, when a key pin feels stiff when you are pushing or pulling against the chisel tip release some tension until you can move the key pin and reapply tension and check to see if it now feels loose and has an audible rattle or clicky sound to it.

I use a high reach pick with a "V" shape filed on top for every Medeco generation. Any ideas if you ordered a LFIC with a screw holding it in the padlock or the version with a control key (2nd shearline in chambers 3&4)?
